despite the timestamps, that was xposted LOL.

Hello Mr CSWS. I understand your MIL is coming down for a week. Good luck ! Hope you all get on swimmingly !

Frizbe · 23/11/2006 21:51

Hi Mr CSWS look 3K another bloke!!
Hotmama at you, my gran was 42 when she had my mum, she felt something turn over in her womb when she was at the bus stop, luckily she worked at the hospital, so went straight for a check and was shocked to say the least she finally got the girl she wanted tho, youngest of 6, the rest boys!
About 45mins up the M1, about 4/5 junctions after Meadowhall for the sculpture park
Right girls I'm off to watch Buzzcocks and if I don't get on again in the morning, 'see' you all Sunday night!

hotmama · 23/11/2006 21:53

What - more men on this thread! What with dp being out I though I was on for a male free night!

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/11/2006 21:54

Hub - dh works/lives abroad during the week, so he won't see my mum!

Have a good weekend Friz (sure you said earlier what you're up to, but I've already forgotten ).

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/11/2006 22:05

hub2dee · 23/11/2006 22:06

I see, csws. Anyway, I'm off to bed. Looking forward to meeting you for our shoot - and, as I said, if you want to drag mum down to either be in the photos or ensure I don't eat your family whole you are welcome to come twice.

3k · 23/11/2006 22:06

Hiya Mr CSWS!!!!!

That's great girls, no more sterilising and no more formula!!! Hurrah!! Roll on Feb!!!

My dogs have just decided after 2 weeks that they like one another and have been play fighting for the past 3 hours!!!! Max didnt like the puppy until today and now he is licking her and rolling all around the floor.

hub2dee · 23/11/2006 22:06

(or, of course, just the once if we get the shots you want).

mustrunmore · 23/11/2006 22:07

Great I'll be on here after a bit of yoga.
Am just off to apply savlon to my very itchy tattoo as its at the scabby stage now, then catch up on my diary, then empty washing machine, pack nusery bag, get everyone's clothes ready for the morning, take the wet towel off my hair, faff about a bit, then go to bed!!

mustrunmore · 23/11/2006 22:08

Hey, csws, I'll be your chaperone; he doesn't frighten me

CantSleepWontSleep · 23/11/2006 22:09

Oh mrm - you've just reminded me of an e-mail I have to send you now - should make you laugh if you've not seen it before!

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 23/11/2006 22:23

mustrunmore · 23/11/2006 22:26

Grin Grin Grin

Jelley · 23/11/2006 23:19

Its taken me 1/2 hour to read todays thread, and I'm too tired to post now.(and you've all gone anyway)

I was busy looking at cookers

I'll be around tomorrow evening I think.
B*gger, no I won't. We are going to the "cavalcade of light" (naff parade through town /turning on Christmas light ceremony). DD1 is on a float, and is thrilled.

FrivolentDemon · 23/11/2006 23:28

How much did you all post tonight???? I tried to organise a games night to chuck DH out and get the computer all evening... and it ended up being round here - instead of slouching I had company

My baby takes a bottle... of COWS MILK (I can't be arsed to buy formula for the odd one off feed) (not often sterilising either )

Oooh, things are improving with the pincher - sharp moving his claws away and a NO!, and he tends to stop - only had to do it once today

Frizbe - DH is selling his WoW account It will be gone for good (and should make about £200 on ebay....we will be able to sort the washing machine!!)

TicTac · 24/11/2006 08:32

wow there where loads of posts on here last night!! Had a meeting with the vicar to organise DD Christening. We are having it around her birthday. Was meant to be in July but her G.mums mum was diagnosed with cancer so was having treatment....didn't want to drag my friend up here while that was all going on.

MrsDoolittle · 24/11/2006 09:40

Wish I had looked into it further
I have been giving ds follow-on milk and your right, it costs a fortune. I say we use a box every week and a half at nearly £7 a throw.
I should have put him straight onto cows milk?

We just bought another box last night.
That WILL be the last one!!

hotmama · 24/11/2006 10:24

Morning everyone.

Friv - I might try giving some cows milk then - I already get it for dd1. DD2 is going to nursery in Jan so she is either having cows milk or formula during the day - she has it on her brekkie anyway.

Mrs D - I gave follow on milk to dd1, I weaned her off it by mixing it with cows milk and increasing the amount of cows milk/decreasing formula - had no problems.

Thankfully, dd2 seems back into her routine of 8ish to 5ish - for the last week she has been waking about 1ish - not used to it - I need my sleep!

Given the letter to the nursery about dd2 starting - so it really is real - I am going back to work and dd2 is starting nursery. I feel a lot more 'clingy' this time - I forsee a few tears in the first week of January!

hotmama · 24/11/2006 10:25

Sorry I meant cows milk or water not formula.

CantSleepWontSleep · 24/11/2006 10:55

MrsD - I wouldn't have gone straight onto cows milk at 6 months, no. Either stick with first milk (is that cheaper - sorry, genuinely have no idea about the cost of formula?) or be stuck with follow-on until closer to a year. The follow on milk only differs from first milk in that less impurities are removed and more iron is added (but they can't really absorb it all anyway).

OP posts:
FrivolentDemon · 24/11/2006 11:04

I would stick with normal first formula too MrsD - DS is only on cows milk because it is about 7oz once or twice a week, so I know it won't mess up his nutrients desperately when he is being b/f the rest of the time.

Front door jammed half shut this morning - phone was inside, children outside (with me) - keys wouldn't turn or come out, door wasn't properly shut. I had to thump hell out of it to get it to work... something always happens on a Friday!!! Phoned the agent and left a message, if I get no reply I'll try again at lunchtime.

hotmama · 24/11/2006 11:04

Sorry Mrs D - I misunderstood. Should still give formula or bm before 1 - cows milk shouldn't be the main drink. I was talking about after 1.

The follow on milk (and growing up milk for that matter) are marketing cons because manufacturers aren't allowed to advertise 'first' milks so they have brought these out so they can. TBH I used follow on milk with dd1 from 6 months to a year- as it is a lot cheaper than first milks and Boots often had 3 for 2 offers.

Even cheaper now I am bf dd2 and dd1 stopped drinking milk at 22 months!

(FD: It has warped. It needs planing, undercoating, painting.
