Morning all! A shiny new thread for Easter.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend, I'm off to eat copious amounts of chocolate whilst hiding in the floor of the nursery with Ewan the sheep Easter Grin

Ooft Munday, the top two at the front were crap coming through as well, but 4 in the one go!!ShockShockWineWine

Artistic · 28/06/2015 21:26

4 teeth at the same time is totally ShockShockShock! We have 2 Bottom middles but more making their way out painfully.Confused

Am trying to stop be now. We are down to a single feed each day at 7am. Does anyone have any advice for how to drop the last feed without too much painful engorgement?

Artistic · 28/06/2015 21:27

Oops..that should read 'bf'.

MundayCakes85 · 29/06/2015 08:44

Artistic I dropped one feed a week. If you're still engorged with that last feed could you try a half boob, half bottle feed for a few days? I found it not too bad doing it so gradually.
Good luck Smile

I was down to one feed a day too, and thought it would be easy to stop. In reality it took about 2-3 weeks for my boobs to stop messing around.

I just decided on a day to stop (after a really nice feed with no biting!), 24 hours later I hand expressed a bit in the shower to reduce lumps. I then hand expressed tiny amounts whenever I felt like it (ie when lumpy). My boobs leaked every time she cried at night, so boyfriend did night feeds for a week (nice break too!) I got a milk blister, so I had to keep expressing on that side to get rid of it, but no mastitis-like feelings. One day things just stopped... no hardness, no lumps, no leaking. I had an experimental squeeze the other day though and a tiny bit came out, but I'm definitely done - they've shrunk a bit now and I'm back in my old bras.

Artistic · 29/06/2015 10:53

Ohthegoats, munday - thank you for sharing. Am doing 2oz formula & then a small feed to gradually bring it down. Just noticed today morning that we've cut top 2 teeth as well..if not anything else am scared to feed her now! 4 razor sharp teeth is just too stay for me!!! GrinGrinGrin

Artistic · 29/06/2015 10:54

Scary!

Grr...autocorrect!!

Buttwing · 30/06/2015 17:14

We also have four teeth coming through at once. They don't really seem to be bothering him but we are having some truly revolting nappies though.

Hope everyone is enjoying this amazing weather :)

STIGZ · 30/06/2015 18:45

No teeth here yet Hmm. Probably got roots like a tree like me Shock

STIGZ · 03/07/2015 06:59

OMG .... Has the thread died ?

I though i would have loads to catch up on since i last posted ?? Hmm

Hope all is well with everyone ?

Artistic · 03/07/2015 07:10

Hi stigz! We were melting here in the heatwave! Grin Took 2 fans & cold shower & bath to get baby through each day. I have a west facing bedroom so it gets baking hot in the evenings even on a normal day. Hope it's all over & we can return to cooler days..

ohthegoats · 03/07/2015 09:06

S'alright - our sleep is beginning to go to shit again, so you know... I'll be back to moan! I'm cacking myself about going back to work, absolutely terrified of the lack of sleep and the lack of interest that will mean I have in my job.

Kirstipops · 03/07/2015 10:11

Paddling pool weather! Got a few errands to run first so trying to get H to have a nap before I head out (naps in the sling rarely happen now, damn), then we'll have an afternoon in the garden I think. Really fancy a BBQ but DH's band has a gig in Edinburgh so when he gets home from work tonight he'll be straight back out againSad

FATEdestiny · 03/07/2015 15:07

Just bought one of those humongous garden pools Grin. It's taken 4 hours to fill!

I've been delaying getting one for several years on the basis that DC3 was too young (they are 6+ years), but he is nearly 6 now. I figure we have a couple of years before it has to stop being used for a while because of DC4's age. The children will be AMAZED when they get home from school today.

DD is not only sleeping through, she is the first of my children to seem willing to sleep later in the mornings. I always thought such children were a figment of other peoples imaginations. I am having to wake her at 8am every day Shock. It would be lovely if it wasn't for the fact that two of my other children are always up by 6.30am regardless

Her 13 hour nights now mean that morning nap has been mostly dropped (aside from the occasional 20 minutes in the pushchair). She's having a massive 11.00am-2.30/3.00pm afternoon nap though!

ohthegoats · 03/07/2015 17:41

I'm in a rooftop bar in the sunshine on my own. It's almost weird.

Artistic · 03/07/2015 23:45

Fate - I am so jealous of your little one's sleep. Wish I had a few big chunks like this. I am always walking on eggshells when mine is asleep and find that I can't relax coz am always thinking she's going to be up now! ????

Igottastartthinkingbee · 04/07/2015 00:34

Fate I wish I had that pool!! 4 hours to fill? Must be bloomin massive!

We're fine here, she still hasn't slept through (the holy grail of babydom) but I'm trying to ignore that! We are off on our holidays tomorrow so who cares!!

The biggest news is that we have a crawler now. She's not very quick but she pulls up at every opportunity and is a total liability already! How long until they develop a sense of what's best for their health and satiety.......???

STIGZ · 04/07/2015 11:22

Paddling pool weather yesterday, and today its absolutly peeing down Sad hopefully brighten up later, I'm dying to paint my front door steps

A rooftop bar sounds right up my street goats hope you enjoyed the peace and quiet ? I am also dreading going back to work, so many changes to staff etc and the paperwork will no doubt have changed again Hmm

What a excellent surprise for your kids fate Grin.

We had three weeks of shocking sleep when we returned from holiday, it seems to be going back to normal now but i honestly think "the brain leaps" coincides with her having shit sleep so i know its not over yet plus she still has not got a tooth yet so she still has that to go through Sad

Kirstipops · 04/07/2015 11:27

Fate were your kids chuffed to bits then?
Goats that sounds glorious!
Stigz I'm gutted with how horrible it is today, I'm gonna have some rotten cabin fever today, plus I forgot DH is working this weekend so on a downer because of that too!! Got T in the Park next Friday though so have that to look forward to, DH's band is playing in the unsigned band tent but they're on second last so have some competition from the big acts to contend with!!

FATEdestiny · 04/07/2015 13:49

Half the neighbourhood are here in my back garden. Hmm All very well but DH is away so I'm on my own looking after everyone elses children! Good job it's cooler today, they are only managing an hour at a time playing out there before they need to come in for a warm.

I will be gutted if that's it for the hot weather now I've gone to all the effort of getting and setting up the pool. DH & I were saying last night we might take a bottle of wine out there and sit in it in the evening if we have anymore 30+ deg nights.

Your DH is in a band Kirsti? That's really cool B-)

Have a great holiday Igotta!

Rooftop bar sounds amazing goats.

STIGZ · 04/07/2015 17:02

Gosh kirstie your hubbies band sound like they are going places !! You both must be so excited Grin ...

I have never been to TITP but its deffo on my bucket list Wink. Be sure to let us know how he gets on? Or let me know if he will be on tv so i can watch ?

Kirstipops · 04/07/2015 19:41

I don't think they show the unsigned bands' tent on tv but will let you know if they do! They don't hsve a manager and still all work their normal jobs and stuff, they've been plugging away at it for a couple of years so it's great to see them getting somewhere! My proudest moment so far is one of their tunes being used on U.S. TV Grin

Fate hope all the kids have gone home and you can have the pool to yourself!

STIGZ · 06/07/2015 09:00

Wow kirstieGrin Such a catchy wee song, was that the band on at the end of the video ?

I think we have a tooth thats ever so slightly popped through, sleep has been crap over the weekend, but obviously i know why now and I'm not wishful thinking Wink

Kirstipops · 06/07/2015 10:43

No they couldn't get visas in time to get over to perform it themselves which was a bummer but worked out well in the end for them. (This is the original vid they made on their mobile phones, DH is the one with the short black hair -
OK I'll stop spamming now Grin )

Having a nap battle this morning, argh argh argh.
Yay for teeth Stigz!

MundayCakes85 · 06/07/2015 11:12

Early start means she's on nap 2 already!!
Hope you all had a nice weekend.
We did until I got the rage over breaking a bowl Angry DH told me off for getting angry but sometimes I just can't help venting. He doesn't seem to understand that I've got no one else to grump at even though I don't mean to lose it.
