Apparently the other thread is closed. How're nappy explosions going?
Baby bought up a little bit, but I thinks it's because she had a total of 9oz in an hour.

Well I should have quit whilest ahead! I decided to get the chest of drawers and the wardrobe for the spare room up today, so that I could sort the stuff and hopefully find the garage key. Ds helped with the chest of drawers, started the wardrobe and I'm now in a and e!! Put the electric screwdriver through my finger!!! Oops! I more annoyed that it doesn't fit with my time scale for today!! That's 2 things... What will the third be? Still haven't found the key!
On another note, dd is in her own ro. It was a hard decision to make but we kept waking her. It has been alit better since!

Dec1314mummy · 03/05/2015 14:52

Sorry about all of the mistakes but I only have one working hand and it's not my good one!

bigfam · 03/05/2015 16:46

Oh my god Dec are u ok? Did it go right through? give me the gory

Had to snap her, bulging eyes and all. She's been quite happy today, very talkative

So cute bigfam
Yep right through!! Saw the fat all sticking out! Was very odd!! I'm fine, all glued back together and now I've almost finished the wardrobe??
Myself and Dh have reversed roles! He's been looking after the kids while I've done the diy! I can't do bath time now for 3 days as I can't get it wet!!

bigfam · 03/05/2015 18:30

Ewww I love a bit of gore

Use your injury to your advantage, I would.

Oh my god dec that sounds horrific. I got shivers down me when I read that. Hope you're ok. You poor thing. And here's me complaining about a cold!

Potty training today has been pretty horrendous. Dd held her wee in for 9 hours. She managed 8 hrs yesterday and I'm terrified she's going to get a uti or kidney damage holding it that long. She was clearly in pain but outright refused to go on the potty. All that stress of worrying about her is really no good on top of no sleep and a stinking cold. We were doing so well for 3 days then day 4 and 5 have been very hard so it's back to nappies again tomorrow unless she has a change of heart. Never mind though!

Thanks eliza. That must have been beyond stressful with your dd2. I can't imagine what you went through with that. They certainly test us don't they!

Somebody said about a hip scan. Sorry I've forgotten who it was my brains frazzled. Ds had one a couple of months back. It was very quick and done in a couple of minutes.

Hope everyone gets a good sleep tonight!

bigfam · 03/05/2015 21:28

So I know I'm completely off my rocker, but I've thought long and hard and we're going to try for baby no5, my logic is that this is definitely our last one and I don't want too much of an age gap between the eldest and the youngest. If we waited another 3 years there would be 10 years between them. Once the 5th arrives that's our family complete, we're completely settled where we live, it's where I grew up and the kids attend the same school I did. Then I will concentrate on myself! I know I'm mad but it makes sense to me, I know I'd want a fifth in the future so I'm better off doing whilst I'm young and my body's still (relatively) capable. I'm nucking futs huh?

Sorry for that rant, it's how I'm going to justify it to people that are going to question my mental state!

Wowza Bigfam! Good for you!

I have friends who have 5 kids under 7 and they have a big, happy chaotic house - although it does resemble an orphanage at times! There are weans everywhere you look!

Nesspot · 03/05/2015 22:31

Weans = kids. Sorry!

Elizadoesdolittle · 03/05/2015 22:41

alyx DS had a hip scan a couple of weeks ago. It was literally over in seconds. Nowhere did it say about bringing a bottle. I'm not quite sure what they mean by that. Hope it turns out ok.

bigfam There are nearly 10 years between me and my sis and we are very close. She's the sensible one! But I can understand why you'd go for no 5 asap. May as well get all the child bearing done quickly.

dec sounds nasty. Hope you're ok.

Dec1314mummy · 04/05/2015 00:01

Wow bigfam that sounds brilliant! I would have loved more than 2 in some ways, but I need some mee time! 2 children in just over 12 months has been enough to test me. I live my kids dearly but no more! Don't feel you have to justify yourself, it's nobody else's business!!
Thanks for all of the concern. I really am fine. All glued back together nicely. Throbbing slightly but nothing much and I missed the neves and bone somehow! I got home and started straight back on it. Dh was not happy as he wanted me to relax, yes ME relax.... That words not in my dictionary! So I've done that, sorted all the clothes, sorted the rest of the house and I found the key Grin so all boxes are now in the garage and my home looks beautiful again. I just finished and dd woke up, so have fed her, put in the food order and my list is complete Smile
Sorry to rant, just so happy I've done it all with about 3 minutes to spare until the end of the day Smile
Here's to a good night!

Dec1314mummy · 04/05/2015 00:04

Word is... Sorry awful grammar
And love my children. I Blame the finger, although we all know I make mistakes all the time. I really should learn not to rush!!

bigfam · 04/05/2015 04:27

Dec u sound like wonderwoman!!! No way in hell would I have carried on after that. You're very brave!

OP posts:
bigfam · 04/05/2015 04:32

I know I shouldn't really justify myself but I get judged a lot, especially if I'm out with the kids because I use the bus a lot (too petrified to learn to drive!) when dh is at work, I get some of the strangest looks. I look really young, I'm talking getting asked id for buying a bloody scratch card, some people assume I'm a teenager with kids by Tom dick and Harry. I love correcting them and explaining I'm actually 25, I've been with my oh 10 years, all my kids are his, and he works non stop!! Grin

Bigfam Like dec said it's no one else's business ... Good luck!
I get funny looks cz I look about 12 pushing a pram when I'm actually nearing my 30s!

I have lots of siblings and loved growing up with them but after just one baby I have a whole new level of respect for mum who had 3 babies in 3 years!

I'm also feeling a little panicked about having me desired 3 babies before I'm 35... But my body is knackered after one birth- my back is in sooo much pain still.

Dec- I also can't believe you came back and finished all that- then again I can cz if I didn't finish it off no one else would and the mess would bother me more!

Wow littlepink your daughter can hold it in! Sounds like it's causing stress for everyone - good luck to you all too!

LittlePink · 04/05/2015 18:25

How's the finger dec?

Just rang the national bfing helpline about this milk blister. As I'm unwell with it she said to start the antibiotics. I can't even tell you how painful it is. It's especially excruciating when ds pulls off the nipple and pulls the nipple with him as he goes and stretches it as far as it'll go! She said I can not feed on it and express it instead and only use the left breast but can't see that working when I'm out and about. 4 months down the line, no problems with breastfeeding so far and now this. Very strange.

Dec1314mummy · 04/05/2015 19:04

The fingers ok thanks little. Dh annoyed me earlier though so I whacked him but stupidly with that hand. It definitely hurt me more than him! Serves me right I suppose.
little that does sound terrible. How long did yet say until the antibiotics kick in? Poor you. Sending lots of Brew and Cake your way.

LittlePink · 04/05/2015 20:14

24 hours I suppose. I was reluctant to take them as I don't have a fever but she said to just take them anyway because I'm unwell with it and it's not likely to be thrush like the gp said as I don't have it on the other breast and ds hasn't got it so I can stop the daktarin and nystatin for him. That's such a faff having to wipe it off before every feed so I'm glad to see the back of that. She was fantastic though so I really recommend the national bfing helpline if anyone else has any issues. She was so knowledgable and lovely.

Alyx80 · 04/05/2015 22:14

Ouch littlepink. Sounds awful. Have you tried getting rid of it? I've seen info saying it's possible to use a (sterile) needle to lift the edge of the blister immediately before a feed which will hopefully release the blockage behind it, if you google there's probably more stuff about it. Sounds horrible though and such a shame when it's been all ok until now.

dec am impressed you managed to carry on with the DIY with your finger, sounds painful!

bigfam number 5 sounds like a great idea lol. We're sticking with 4, I think dh would have a heart attack if I suggested another!

Thanks for the info about the hip scan too ladies, hopefully he'll cooperate and it will be nice and quick! Last lot of jabs this week so I'm glad that will be out of the way. Can't believe how much Q is sucking his hands, I don't remember my other boys being like this but he's always got his hands in his mouth!
Tried him in his Jumperoo yesterday for the first time and he seemed to really like it, he even had a little bounce! He looked far too grown up though!

I put ds in the jumperoo too. He doesn't know what to make of it at the moment and not got the hang of the jumping but he looked so cute in it. I got him a Sophie giraffe to chew on too. He hasn't mastered what to do so it ends up on the floor every time but he loves his hands to chew on or mine!

bigfam · 05/05/2015 11:21

I've been inspired, I was just going to get a walker but I'm off to argos when I've collected dd2 to get a jumperoo Grin

Wow bigfam! I have 3 siblings and I have to say I loved the chaos growing up and we are all extremely close. I think it gets a bit much for my dh though when we go from his lovely quiet parents house to my family mad house! Dh is dead set on 2 children but I wouldn't say no to a third.... I'm only on number one though so that may change!

Hope you're feeling better Little and Dec! Little I managed to get rid of the blister myself by scratching the top off the blister in a hot shower (sorry tmi). It does seem to come back every now and again but nowhere near as bad as the first time.

Last set of jabs this afternoon for dd. I'll be glad to get them out the way for a while now. I'm such a wimp!

Pesto11 · 05/05/2015 14:56

I looked up jumperoos cz I'd never heard of them... They look so cute! And is it just me or aren't they quite expensive? £80
Does look fun though
Dd is starting to grab things and roll over which is exciting as I'm struggling with my daytime routine... Can get sooo bored! Will get busy when she starts eating food in a couple of month's time so I should enjoy the 'trapped on the sofa' stage!
