Apparently the other thread is closed. How're nappy explosions going?
Baby bought up a little bit, but I thinks it's because she had a total of 9oz in an hour.

They're £90 in argos but there's 412 reviews, all if which have given it the max of 5 stars, so it must be good Grin

So cute in the jumparoo Grin
Little I really do feel for you. Sounds so horrible.
Dd is being a clingy monster today. She's such a fussy one anyway but seriously it's reminding me of how tough the first 3 months were are made me appreciate how she has overall been a little better the last couple of weeks. She's refused to sleep, refused to take a bottle properly and has screamed if I'm not in her view! She screamed blue murder at my nan, who popped in for a while. She did the same last time! She has no routine and it's driving me crazy! I like to know what I'm doing when, she has her own ideas and as soon as she sees me she just laughs as if to say 'ha ha I knew I would get your attention somehow'!
I have the first part of an interview tomorrow and I'm bricking it! I've been out of the classroom too long and I hate teaching kids I don't know in a space I don't know! My boss is not happy at all! We had a meeting a few weeks ago and let's just say HR would have had a field day! I could have done with a juice calm day today (or as calm as it can be in this household)!

Dec1314mummy · 05/05/2015 16:08

Nice not juice! Pooh a fresh juice would be lovely though!

Dec1314mummy · 05/05/2015 16:57

Ooooh not pooh.... I hate bloody autocorrect sometimes! This is not my week!

Pesto11 · 05/05/2015 17:43

Was wondering what a juice calm was!
Good luck on the job front... I'm waiting for my Head to contact me about going part time for next year... I'm hoping they still keep me on UPS.
Dd is also squealing till I'm in view then it's all big smiles!
Take it easy
You're doing really well even typing up applications and going for interviews!

We've had that same jumperoo for a while. DD adores it but she gets frustrated that she can't stuff the dangly bits in her mouth so resorts to shouting at it and throwing her hands in the air in protest. It's very funny.
I bought a bumbo for her today because she loves sitting up and being nosy. She looks so grown up in it, but she loves it.

LittlePink · 05/05/2015 21:43

Ds likes his bumbo too. I got it second hand on eBay which I was happy with. The jumperoo are expensive but if you're lucky you could get one around £30 on eBay second hand.

Ds has had rubbish naps today but I reasoned that even if he has had too much day sleep, not enough day sleep, just the right amount of day sleep he still doesn't sleep well at night so why am I stressing myself about it! It's completely out of my control so I might aswell just accept it! The four month sleep regression doesn't help matters. Enough said!

Nesspot · 06/05/2015 09:14

One of our friends was getting rid of a jumperoo so gave it to us! DS loves it but is still a bit too wee to bounce, etc. It takes up so much space in our tiny living room though! Between dogs and babies, we're being slowly squeezed out of our own home!

September60b · 06/05/2015 12:12

I've been thinking of getting a bumbo or jumperoo. Dd will tolerate her playmat but only for short amounts of time before she gets bored. She loves being walked around so I think she'll be better if she can see more. Those with a bumbo, how long do you find your little ones can sit in it for?

Dd woke twice for a feed last night which I can cope with, but then appeared to be up for the day at 5.15! I managed to rock her back to sleep but she only went back down till 5.50. In theory I should be getting lots done today but Velcro baby will only nap on me so far!!

LittlePink · 06/05/2015 12:35

I've got a Velcro one today too. He's only had 2 half hour naps and is grumpy as anything but he does have an excuse coz he had his jabs this morning.

It depends on his mood but he will sit in the bumbo for a little while, while we potter around but I had him in it just now and he lasted a few minutes before kicking off and wanting out. He just wants to be in my arms today though but as I say if it's s good day he'll happily sit while I get things done around the kitchen for example.

Dec1314mummy · 06/05/2015 12:55

sept I have a Velcro baby too! She never naps for long stretches. Yesterday she had 40 mins all day and I tried everything, including a long walk! She slept the best she ever has last night though, when she finally went to sleep that is!
Dm has the babies and I'm sat in the carpark waiting to go into my interview! It seemed like a good idea when applying, but sat here now I'm not so sure! I wish they could just give me the job, no interview required! Ha! I'm starting to question why I'm putting myself through all of this. It's a big of a long shot too so I know I don't stand much chance!

Nesspot · 06/05/2015 13:50

Good luck Dec!!!!

September60b · 06/05/2015 14:21

Thanks ladies!

Good luck Dec, I'm sure you will be fab!

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/05/2015 14:25

sept DD1 loved the bumbo and would sit for ages just watching the world go by. DD2 however didn't like it much at all and just wanted to be in her bouncy chair. All my kids love the jumperoo though. Haven't put DS in it much yet as he's still loving his playmat so trying not to have too many things out. If I had to buy either a jumperoo or bumbo I'd go for jumperoo as its very entertaining and last longer. As soon as my girls could sit independently they didn't need the bumbo anymore whereas they used the jumperoo for ages. Amazon was doing 20% off fisher price toys inc the jumperoo and space saving version but I think that's finished now.

dec good luck.

bigfam · 06/05/2015 16:10

The space saving jumperoo is £74.99 in argos atm, I'm not going to even contemplate buying a bumbo, she doesn't like sitting at all, when in my arms she wants to stand up all the time. Good luck Dec, I'm sure you'll be fantastic!
We managed a fairly peaceful meal at t.g.i fridays today, even dd2 behaved, but she speaks so loud and comes out with the strangest things

Dec1314mummy · 06/05/2015 18:23

Thanks all! Went ok but not fantastically! Kids weren't where I was expecting them to be! Ah well! Next part next Friday so a while to wait yet!
bigfam sounds like you had a lovely time. We don't have a jumparoo buff you've all got me tempted to buy one now!

LittlePink · 06/05/2015 20:02

Did anyone have any issues with the 4 mth injections? Ds has a fever and has been screaming. I had to give calpol as he was very hot and miserable. It took me over an hour to settle him at bedtime. He fell asleep in my arms but woke up as soon as I put him down. Felt so bad on dd as she wasn't helping when ds was screaming and burning up so I just quickly put her to bed without any of the usual routine as I needed to be on my own to sort him out. He was screaming in his cot while I did a very quick settle for dd. thankfully she went down no bother. Don't know what I would have done if she'd have been crying too!

Pesto11 · 06/05/2015 22:18

Dd cried for an hour and explosive nappies but was otherwise fine

Has the calpol worked?
Dd will understand that you were looking after poorly baby

Alyx80 · 06/05/2015 22:22

The Jumperoo is probably one of the best things I've bought for the boys. Mine was bought for DS2 in 2008 and has so far been used for 8 children lol, they've all loved it and DS4 looks like he's going to love it too! He spent 20 mins in it tonight while I made the big one their tea.
Hope your DS is ok tonight littlepink. We have the jabs tomorrow, am glad it's the last ones for a while!

Pesto11 · 06/05/2015 22:51

Defo investing in a jumperoo with all these recommendations...
Was gna get a walker in a few months time
They take up a lot space!

Pesto11 · 06/05/2015 22:51

Good luck with jabs

September60b · 07/05/2015 02:42

How is your ds now Little? I hope he managed to settle after the calpol. Poor little man. Dd had jabs on Tuesday and has been really sleepy and clingy today but fine otherwise so far.

LittlePink · 07/05/2015 08:24

He was up every 2 hrs from 9pm which isn't like him. I went in to check on him at 9 and he was lying there wide awake then got upset when he saw me so had to feed him back to sleep then it was every 2 hrs from there. He was wide awake between 1-2am. But just chattering away rather than crying. He's still got a bit of a temp today at 37.9 but 37.3 in the other ear so have held off on the calpol as he's not grizzly and we've had lots of smiles. Dd has been doing peekaboo with him and he loves it, giggles away. It's very cute. So fingers crossed it was just a one off temp last night related to the jabs. Dd never had any rea

LittlePink · 07/05/2015 08:28

Any reactions but I remember the Mmr was bad for her. She was really unwell after that. It's funny because when she's poorly she's as quiet as a mouse and just sleeps whereas ds was screaming and couldn't settle.

On another note, I'm being driven mad with Kate and Williams royal wedding. Dd is obsessed with weddings and brides and I made the mistake of showing her Kate getting out of the car arriving at Westminster abbey and ever since she wants to watch it again and again but I have to watch it with her! It's quite sweet but getting slightly old now!

Alyx80 · 07/05/2015 19:53

Lol at the royal wedding! Funny how they get little obsessions! My DS2 is obsessed by the Titanic, it's virtually all he talks about!

Jabs went ok today, he cried this time the least out of all of them and has been fine since. Fingers crossed for a good night!
