Apparently the other thread is closed. How're nappy explosions going?
Baby bought up a little bit, but I thinks it's because she had a total of 9oz in an hour.

I agree with different nappies firing different babies.
Well dd has a temp this morning and had diarrhea yesterday. She's also going through a dribble bib every half an hour so I think it's the jabs and teething all rolled into one. The poor thing. Ds is also so ratty! Think his back molars are coming through. I kind of hope so because he's been a terrible teether and has really really suffered, so I'll be glad when we are done!
What a horrible day. I hope everyone is ok and had an ok night.

Dec1314mummy · 26/04/2015 09:42

Oops, meant to say we mainly use kiddicare nappies but I have had some papers dry the last few days as I forgot to order some!

Elizadoesdolittle · 26/04/2015 09:58

I am mixed feeding. Whilst I feel a little bit guilty I'm not still ebf as we did find it easy I needed him to take a bottle for my own sanity. After having a nightmare with feeding DD2 and her being a complete bottle refuser it's nice to not have to worry. And it meant I could go out for a couple of cocktails last night Smile

Rainy day here too. DH playing golf so I think I'll get the water proofs out and go puddle splashing at the local nature trail.

I just went back to my pregnancy post, where I'd written how my stomach was hurting and I thought it was a bug, then an hour later that I was en route to the hospital then a few hours later I'd had my beautiful baby, god it feels like she's been here forever Grin

Doesn't it just! I was just thinking about how a year ago we would have just started getting out Bfp's! I had a sneak at the due jan 16 thread and it was so weird! Crazier still 2 years ago I would have just had the positive for Ds. As much as I love having my children, I am hoping there will be no bfp this April! I think I'm done now! (Never say never though, bit I don't think it would be planned)!

Pesto11 · 26/04/2015 18:49

Aww wow there's a jan 16 group?!
(Of course there is I tell myself- time didn't stop after I had my baby)
Though that's how I feel!!

Had loads of cooking to do today- guests over- feeling guilty about parking dd in her bouncer in front of TV!

I've had two bad nights with Q. He was sleeping 9.30 until anything after 3, usually closer to 5 but last night he was 9.30 until 12am then 3am and I took him in bed with me and fed him lying down. He then snoozed until about 5 and kept waking until we got up at 8.30am. DS3 kept crying out from 6am, I've no idea why but he didn't get up until 10am! He's not been 100% all day but nothing obviously wrong with him.

Q was in his crib last night rather than the hammock and he kept hitting his arms on the side so I don't know if that was part of the problem so he's going back into the hammock tonight lol.

We use Aldi nappies, Q is now in a size 4 but they are really good and half the price of Pampers.

bigfam · 26/04/2015 22:23

Hope you have a better time tonight alyx. I really need to sleep, but I can't stop staring at the baby, she's so incredibly perfect, she looks so comfy spread out on my bed, I can't believe a few weeks ago she'd grunt and wake laying on her back and now isn't bothered at all.

I love how they slept with their arms up and fists pumped! Super girl to the rescue!

Dec1314mummy · 27/04/2015 13:20

I've got 2 serious cranky pants in the house today. I think they are both teething. I feel so sorry for them and want to fix it Sad. The constant crying and whining really gets to you and I feel bad saying that because I know they are both suffering!
How is everyone else doing?

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/04/2015 14:27

I've got a winge bag here too. I'm blaming after effects of the bcg jab. He finally went off to sleep using the power of the hairdryer. He just does not want to be put down today. Thank goodness I'm at the in laws for dinner tonight as I'm not achieving anything at home.

bigfam · 27/04/2015 16:18

I've just had a screech bag in the form of dd2 after collecting her from nursery, she wouldn't listen and kept running near the road on purpose, so I then held her hand, which she didn't like much because that's when she turned into a banshee, I told her if she didn't stop she wouldn't get a sweet when we got home, I stuck to my guns so she proceeded to scream some more before collapsing on the sofa, she's now asleep but snuffling making me feel guilty

If I wasn't bfing I'd be having a glass of wine instead. Today has been horrendous. Ds has cried what seems like non stop. His napping has been awful. I was at a friends house and he got so over tired it took me 20 mins of him screaming to calm him down and get him off to sleep in my arms.

Went to pick dd up from pre school and someone had taken her bag home by accident so she was crying about that. She was shattered too and wanting cuddles and crying coz I was seeing to ds who was screaming. I wanted to scream with them!

The result. Both in bed by 6.30! Now I'm going to collapse!

LittlePink · 27/04/2015 19:48

Are your babies waking at 5? And what do you do at that time? I've been taking ds into bed, he doesn't ask for a feed, just seems to want to go back to sleep in bed with us but I think we've got into a bad habit with it. It's just so hard at that time to mess around trying to re settle so I take the easy option and bring him into bed. What do you all do?

September60b · 27/04/2015 21:44

Little that does sound to challenging! We're having sleep issues here too so I think it must be an age thing. Everything seems to have taken a step back. She's wanting to nap on me again, and wakes every time I try and put her down. She's always been terrible at napping but we've had screams every time I've tried to get her to sleep.

She's also been waking at 5! Last night she slept from 9pm until 4, but then whinged from 5am onwards. I've been putting my white noise app on and holding her hand (she's in the Moses basket next to me) which buys me a bit of time but not much! I eventually caved at 5.30 and got up to feed her but she fell asleep as soon as she got on the boob so she clearly wasn't hungry. I ended up getting up with her properly at 6am because she was wide awake by then!

Dec1314mummy · 27/04/2015 22:14

It really must be an age thing, dd wouldn't nap unless on me again today. She woke at 12.30, 3.30, 4.30, 5.30 and then up from 6.15 today! Think she was then over tired all day! Ds was up at 11.30 too so I had a pretty rubbish night! little I have been trying to resettle dd if possible. She has been known to sleep on me though from about 4! That happened every night for the first 10 weeks and now is probably once a week. She does wake a lot some nights and others it's just twice! You can guarantee that those are Ds's bad nights. Dd doesn't sleep for longer than 4 hours but ds was still waking every1/ 2 hours at this age so I have to keep telling myself it isn't that bad!
Let's hope we all have a better night tonight!

bigfam · 28/04/2015 04:16

Dd2 woke up at 8pm last night after her breakdown so was awake for a few hours, but was kept entertained as I tried to get rid of a big fat hairy spider from my room. The baby will be 13 weeks Wednesday and (touch wood) she seems to have fallen into a routine during the day, she'll nap around 8-9 the 11-12 then around half 2 or 3 til 5 and then she's awake til she goes to sleep between 9-10.

If she wakes at 5am or just after I tend to feed her then get up and do things I really shouldn't, like put washing on and start dusting, and have a bath, cause I NEVER get one in peace with dd2.

Jabs tomorrow. She's watching hollyoaks now Grin

Elizadoesdolittle · 29/04/2015 14:00

bigfam hope jabs went well.

Got DS weighed today and he's now 12lbs 6ozs. Following his line nicely. I'm just about over my fear of weigh ins after DD2.

Got absolutely soaked walking back from a play group. There is water swimming in the basket of the pushchair and it covered my shopping. yuck. Day time napping still gone to shit. Luckily apart from some coughing incidents night time sleep is generally ok. For now.

bigfam · 29/04/2015 15:32

Baby was okay, I wasn't Sad
Does being sick from reflux stop when they're on solids? I tried to give her a little bit of calpol which she brought back up, and she brought up the rotavirus vaccine aswell.

OP posts:
Elizadoesdolittle · 29/04/2015 20:08

It didn't for my DD but I know being on solids is supposed to help. As is when they learn to walk because being upright more helps.

Alyx80 · 29/04/2015 22:08

Solids didn't help with DS2 either, it just made his sick orange! Confused
He got better at about 9 months I think.

We've had a couple of new things today, Q has rolled front to back for the first time - I even got the second time on video! And he's been grabbing onto his toys on his baby gym. Can't believe how quickly he's growing up! He's been doing some proper good giggles too - so cute!

DS1 has gone on his first school residential today, the house is very quiet without him lol.
