Rudy I can't bear to think about it either so much so am dreading taking him in to show to everyone but am going to have to do it soon...

YellowWellies · 11/01/2015 20:36

Rudy boob lube! Titter Grin .

Splendide bottles are easier for them - typical bloke he's just going for less work. Nothing they do is personal at this age xxxx

Pregnantagain7 · 11/01/2015 20:59

Luca was the same age as Rocco is now when I got pregnant Blush

What was i actually thinking!!

In a couple of weeks is the black tie do we went to last year and I conceived when we got home! We are going again this year there will be no shenanigans this time!!!!

Boob lube made me pml :)

MundayCakes85 · 11/01/2015 21:00

"Don't mind me darling, I'll just squeeze out a little boob lube to get us both in the mood..." is NOT a sentence that gets used in this house Grin

Kirstipops · 11/01/2015 21:13

Stigz I'm on a downer with this weather too, trying to think of where I've put my SAD lamp to try n see if it will cheer me up!! I could handle walking in the cold and rain up to a point but the driving wind is so off putting! We're having external wall insulation put in this week so there will be noisy scaffolding being erected (snigger) round the house then the racket from the work itself, not looking forward to being being indoors Confused My local library reopens tomorrow after a refurb though, might try to escape there for some peace!
Splendide your lunch today sounds lovely :) I also liked your advice Fate re: how you bf for pleasure, I may end up doing similar once weaning has properly set in, my mum said she eventually was only bf'ing me first thing in the morning and last thing at night, I think that sounds pretty nice :)

BettyJudy · 11/01/2015 22:00

stigz and kirsti - me three, with being down about this weather. Have been really unnecessarily grumpy this weekend and haven't been able to shake it off.

Ventured out to a shopping centre with dp today, and it was one of those soul-sucking places where everyone seems so desperate and grabby. I Having to battle in and out of car a few times with pram in this weather etc does not a happy betty make.

Really annoyed with self for being a little bossy with dp where baby concerned as well, this weekend - i swore to myself i wouldnt do that

STIGZ · 11/01/2015 23:27

Im sitting waiting on baby waking for a feed.... Its not happening, usually she is like clockwork, should have been due at 10.00pm i just hope she's not up for some fun when she wakes up, i need my bed & have just ate nearly a full box of Jaffa cakesBlush

Kirstipops · 12/01/2015 00:02

I'm expecting H up at any minute for a feed, if she sleeps beyond 1am I'll start to allow myself to dream that her sleep regression is passing!
Stigz I had 4 digestive biscuits and a handful of Celebrations after dinner tonight. Again, I blame the weather! Going to make a concerted effort to get H to nap properly tomorrow so I can do the 30 Day Shred and get some endorphins pumping. A friend of a friend who had her baby at beginning of Nov has started training for Tough Mudder in June, eep.

STIGZ · 12/01/2015 00:36

I ended up waking her so thats her fed, changed & in bed, didn't even take a full feed? Might chance putting her down for the night tomorrow at 7 pm and see what happens ? ... Im scared as i have for used to her current routine.

I know kirstie i need to do some exercise, but its easier to eat Jaffa cakes Winkbut i was thinking of getting that girl from Geordie shores dvd tomorrow? Think i might treat myself and get my nails done & have a spray tan, my hair is needing done and i just feel like i look like crap just now, i cant change the weather so i may as well change myselfSmile

splendide · 12/01/2015 07:29

Urgh my period has started. So that's a bad sign isn't it? Despite A spending hours a day at my breast he clearly isn't stimulating then right I guess? Oh well!

tattyblue · 12/01/2015 08:24

I've had such a wobbly weekend. The baby's napping has got worse and worse lately so she barely sleeps in the day, or sleeps for thirty minutes but it will have taken me an hour and a half to get her there. She won't even sleep in the sling now as it's all bright staring eyes. It means she gets so tired and grumpy. Between this and the bottle refusal issues it feels like all we've done all weekend is piss one another off, with me spending most of the day trying to get her to sleep instead of playing with her. Poor baby. I've been feeling really demoralised.

splendide · 12/01/2015 08:33

I feel your pain tatty there's nothing more irritating than fighting with then to get them to nap.

fedupofrainydays · 12/01/2015 10:10

I know how you feel tatty
Will she sleep in the buggy? Or in a bouncy chair?

Smooshie85 · 12/01/2015 10:13

Urgh I'd agree with all those having the January blues, I always feel low after Christmas but I feel a mix if crap weather and hormones if making me feel extra grumpy. I too snapped at my dh yesterday ...whoops. Even the cats have noticed and are currently purring on my lap bless them!
On a weird note lo started screaming in the middle of him sleeping inconsolable ... Shoved the dummy in his mouth and he chewed himself back to sleep - this teething thing is not fun! He did then sleep through until 4 so at least I got some sleep!

tattyblue · 12/01/2015 10:47

She spurns the buggy and the bouncy chair. She'll fall asleep on me sort of but will howl as soon as I put her down. I wouldn't mind her sleeping on me but it means she doesn't sleep well, because she wakes up if I cough or move a bit. Don't know. I expect like with everything else I'll spend ages trying to find a solution and then she'll decide she does want to nap after all and then there won't be a problem anymore. Don't know why I bother , really.Maybe a pram at the bottom of the garden is right after all.

sazzlehopes · 12/01/2015 12:19

Tatty I know how you feel N is sleeping on me at the minute and I've tried to put him down twice, failing miserably with him waking after 15 mins or so. He will only sleep on me, loathes the pram unless it's continually moving (and I'm not going out in this weather!!) and won't sleep in bouncy chair either. It's not ideal anyway and ok today with ds1 is at nursery as I have no guilt but when he's at home it feels unfair as I can't play. So tough!!!

Kirstie I hope you got more sleep. Did H wake after 1? We still seem to be on 2 hourly wake ups through the night too... I'm hoping it will pass soonish... My eye bags are pretty bad!

OP posts:
ohthegoats · 12/01/2015 12:40

2 hourly wake ups here too. I'm going to spend a bit longer trying to resettle rather than feed her if i think she's probably not hungry,

Thing is, I do night time response on autopilot these days - never sure when I've fed her.

LebkuchenMonster · 12/01/2015 13:23

fate that makes a lot of sense and you are very considerate.to refrain from posting your opinion. There are enough bunfights on MN anyway regarding bf/ff - I promise I wasn't trying to provoke one on here!

goats that's got to be worth a try if Pip doesn't appear to be going through a growth spurt. I've managed it occasionally with ds and he does seem to go a bit longer the next night. I can't get him back into the Sleepyhead though when I manage to get him back to sleep by pacing with him, so I've only tried when he's woken after a really short stint.

Ds woke at 2 and 5 last night. Not bad, but not as good as the past few nights. Got revenge by taking him to baby massage class where he got laughed at for being so fat Grin.

sazzlehopes · 12/01/2015 13:38

goats I need to be better at trying to resettle rather than reach for the boob. It's just easier and I'm so lazy about moving from my warm bed to pace/bounce/rock...

I do feel comfort that some of you are also going through 2 hour wake up calls and it might not be my dairy reintroduction after all. Although sorry you are too of course!

She slept til 4! Nearly fell outta bed when I heard her and realised it was after 4! She had a feed and went down til just before 8, then another feed and she still seemed drowsy so back down for another 90 mins. My good fortune has been repaid with a bit of a grumpy child though, she's just fallen asleep after a feed, her first nap after being awake for 4 hours and whining if I don't pay her attention! I wonder how tonight will go..

STIGZ · 12/01/2015 14:16

Took baba to get weighed today, first time i have done this since health visitor came out at 4 weeksBlush but as i expected she is gaining well, bloody 13lbs13 Shock no wonder the weight is dropping of me, lugging her about in that car seat! Its killing my backSad

I have made a decision to put baba into her own room, she's growing out of the moses and i cant fit the big cot in my room, but i have a video monitor so thats giving me peace of mind. I am also going to start putting her down at about 8ish for the night as i had to wake her last night and she didn't take a full bottle so im thinking maybe she doesnt need a late evening feed anymore ? I will try it and see how it goes? Just need to get my cot back from my cousin then its "operation proper bedtime" in her own roomHmm

Sorry to hear about two hourly wake up callsShock. I have been there with first dd... Not easy at all Sad

wondermoose13 · 12/01/2015 15:54

We're on 2 hourly at night too but it actually feels quite good after the past few awful nights! Altho this morning he only went back down for 50 mins, waking just before dh had to go to work, typical!
Had him weighed today and was quite happy hed got to 6.1kg but then i realised hes back to only putting on 100g a week which isnt great. I thought he was feeding a lot but he does tend to drift off so maybe he needs more boob.
Saw dietician this morn for his cmpi and shes written to gp to prescribe neocate just in case which i thought would annoy me but it actually feels nice to have a back up, even if everyone says it tastes grim and babies hate it! Lol
Also had his abdo ultrasound which was fine- good to know that theres no structural issues.
Off for jabs at 5.30. Been a busy day! And so far have looked like a drowned rat for most of it due to weather.
Currently sat in car on drive as hes asleep and im not brave enough to move him! Im such a wuss!

splendide · 12/01/2015 16:47

Hey Moose I have A's weekly weigh in tomorrow. I'm terrified, I'm almost certain he's still no bigger. I'm worried there's something wrong and I have a dietician referral but for JUNE! FFS.

wondermoose13 · 12/01/2015 16:57

Wow thats ages!! Bolton must be quiet for kids dietetics as loads of ppl on the cmpi forum have got crappy long waits! But then theyve had quicker paeds consultant appts and ours is still a month away.
Is your baby on special formula? (Sorry Im losing track of who has cmpi on here)
