Has my cat scared everyone on the bus away?

peardrop2 · 23/12/2014 00:18

No bring. I can't see the pic!

I've had one of those bad mummy days Hmm I accidentally poked Bpear in the eye this morning whilst picking him up,he lent forward and it was still dark so I couldn't see. He cried and kept his eyes shut tight for 20 minutes felt like hours I got to the point that I rang NHS at 6am because I didn't know what to do, whether I should be running to A&E or not...it seemed like a strong reaction for just a small poke. Anyway, he calmed down but then rubbed his eye in the morning and had another 20 minute meltdown so I took him to the doctors who said he couldn't see anything bad and prescribed a cream to apply 3-4 times a day to prevent an infection. What a joy that is to put in a 19 months old eye. The weird thing is his eye seems to play up more after I put the cream in, I'm not convinced he needs it. Anyway, he woke up screaming a couple of hours a go and I've just put him back to sleep. DH is away with work. Fun times Hmm

Frus, given that I know the area you're looking at, would you be freaked out if I peered at all the houses for sale to find the one you're looking at? I may have already done that... Blush It looks lovely! I still think you should be moving to the area closer to me though - were you not keen on the schools?

bring Paisley is gorgeous & a perfectly acceptable name for a cat so you never actually have to mention the logic behind the name! Wink I showed Calf the picture & he said "Aww, I love Paisley." but in a kinda semi-sarcastic sort of way! He often sounds like he's being sarcastic when he's not... I think he just copies my over-enthusiastic intonation when I praise things he's done so it come across as sarcastic when he seems too excited for the situation!

AGnu · 23/12/2014 12:08

Oh no, Frus! Sad Maybe you can start looking closer to me now? GrinWink Is there no wiggle room? You can't put in a slightly higher offer or offer a faster move? Trying to buy a decent house is a nightmare! You never know, the other people might fall through... Or you might find somewhere even better!

bringonthetrumpets · 23/12/2014 16:50

Awh, damn that other person for taking your house! Don't you just love to hate that other someone when that happens? I feel crabby for you, that's so annoying! I hope there is something really structurally wrong with that house so that you have escaped having to deal with it and that you find an even better one very, very soon! I agree, you should go live near angu Wink

I'll keep posting pix for you frus so you may continue to admire my cat Grin

Aw pear we've all done it. Hope the little guy's eye is better soon. We've had conjunctivitis go around the house a couple of times now so I like to think I'm a pro at getting eye drops in little kids. I have to practically sit on M to get them in, but hey! the infection cleared so it must have worked. Hopefully he slept through the night for you! M is on a refusing bedtime/naptime streak right now and was up until 11 last night. I was going mental. It was all day with the kids and taking the cat to the vet, DH was home 2 hours later than normal b/c I sent him out to do the shopping, and then he proceeded to have 2+ glasses of wine and was useless with helping trying to get M settled. I wanted to beat smother him with a pillow when he started snoring at 12am. Hmm

kittykatsforever · 23/12/2014 18:09

It's Xmas eve tomorrow eeeepppp
So exciting!!!
Is everyone prepared?
Sorry to here about af pear but in all honesty a dry Xmas sucks, dec was the month I gave up trying to get preggers with kitten many moons ago and got knocked up in the midst of very drunken nights Grin
I love cats as you may have guessed, torties are my favourite, both my torties have been the nicest most charismatic cats, kitten loves them! We have threeGrin I also know a paisley but a little girl not catI'm now wondering if she was named after Liverpool lol
Frus boo on the house but so many fall through these days
We are all well here excitement getting the better of tiger whose been abit of a pain shit at the min which really isn't like her I feel like such a shit mum when it feels like your always telling them off Hmm
In good news they've been sleeping for Britain, tiger 6-7 this morning!!! And kitten 6:30 -7:45, they were both 7:45 the day beforeShock I've never had such lie ins with two before!!!

bringonthetrumpets · 23/12/2014 20:06

Yay for a fellow cat-lover!

We are so excited for Xmas at our house! I still have presents to wrap and a lot of them are for the kids, so I'll have to wait until this evening. where M HAS to go to bed before 9 b/c there is too much to do! We are having my family over for dinner but then my brother texted me yesterday that he and his fiance are going to her family's and that he has to leave our house by 1. Shock WTF. Dinner is at 3. So.... now looks like we're doing brunch as well. Hmm

Telling kids off is just part of motherhood, kitty not fun, but someone's gotta do it.

AGnu · 24/12/2014 02:29

Calf's been difficult recently too. I think it's a combination of having DSis stay & then DH started his 2 weeks off so the DSs have been completely out of routine. Had a complete nightmare at dinner tonight with both boys refusing to eat potatoes/drink anything. I resorted to all sorts of weird shenanigans to get them to eat, including pulling my hair over my face to become "Hairy Face" Hmm & telling Calf that I was going to close my eyes but I absolutely did not want him to eat that potato under any circumstances. Worked like a charm... for 30 seconds! Calf kept complaining of being very tired & needing to go to bed straight away or that he had a stomach ache. Definitely didn't need to poo though... Until I put him on the loo! He made a miraculous recovery after that though! I think we may have made a breakthrough with the potty-training saga! Grin Shh, don't tell him that or he'll stop being so incredibly proud of himself & reminding us that he did a wee too & go back to refusing to even sit on the toilet!

I'm so tired. Runt woke up & took ages & ibuprofen, water, half a bunch of grapes & a lot of tears to get him to settle again. DH has spent most of the evening on the floor wrapping presents unnecessarily carefully/neatly/slowly & I've been frantically crocheting gifts. Finally got all the crochet done & just need to sew in the ends, add buttons & assemble/wrap the gifts. That'll have to wait until the morning. I'm so sleepy that I keep shutting my eyes & wondering why the room doesn't look quite right... Confused

Luckily the washing is mainly still so I am safe for tonight! Hanging things up never works for me sadly!

That is a lot of effort Frus. Must be exciting though to have them so excited about it all no? Bpear has noooo clue what's going on. He probably just thinks mum and dad have brought in a tree from outside.

Who's braving the Next sale this year? I am still so undecided. I'll be shattered after hosting tomorrow and I have a fun boxing day evening planned so I can't go to bed early which is what is stopping me. I'm not sure I actually need anything for bpear. He's got all he needs until Spring and then I'll just buy him stuff then. I'm tempted to skip this year and go next year when I'll be up anyway as dc2 will be feeding Wink

HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!! Xmas Grin

We've still got loads to do & we're not even hosting! DH is still wrapping presents, I've peeled a million sprouts & am just about to go fry bacon. Still need to pack clothes & do the thing that I keep forgetting that I need to do that I can't remember what it is... I've got a to-do list somewhere... Can't remember where though! Xmas Confused

It'll all be worth it tomorrow... right?!

Hope you all have a lovely day! Flowers
