kittykatsforever · 18/12/2014 23:35

We always had an orange too frus, I used to put it straight back in the fruit bowl Grin

peardrop2 · 19/12/2014 05:56

Wow. Going to bed at 9:30pm equals feeling amazing the next morning. Why on earth don't I do that more often? Oh yeah, I'm normally not tired enough to drop off. I had 2 play dates over yesterday...exhausting!!

Bring ~ I don't like other people's kids either Wink I'm not even fond of my friends children Grin There are a few that I like but not many that I can tolerate. Teaching is 100% not for me too Wink

Yeah Lib!! Where are you with your 2ww symptoms!! I need to know what they were Smile I want to know what this upper back shoulder pain is all about too and why I suddenly feel the urge to do no2 every time I wake up. Lovely!!

I usually go between 10.30 and 11 but DS is back to good sleeping so that usually means a full night's sleep for me.

Yeah kitty I was kind of gutted. Have higher hopes for this year's Christmas PJs.

Not sure what to put in DS's stocking other than a satsuma. Too young for treats really. Hmm

I have some chocolate coins for DH's stocking although don't know when I'm going to sneak them in there as he doesn't come to bed until hours after me! Last year it was easier because I was up feeding in the night so could sneak it in then.

Librarina · 19/12/2014 13:33

So, I had a private scan this morning so we could tell our families at Christmas and I'm about 7 weeks pregnant, which is am Tom lss than we thought....and she couldn't confirm that there were not TWO BABIES so they have to scan me again in a week!!!

Librarina · 19/12/2014 13:35

As for symptoms, well I didn't know I was on the 2ww so I didn pay much attention but for early pregmancy I'm all about the munchies. Mostly tomatoe purée on toast or tinned tomatoes.....yummy! And a constant taste of nausea in my mouth but not sick, that's all really.

bringonthetrumpets · 19/12/2014 16:22

Squeeee! Twins! OMG, I can't wait for your next scan!

Can someone please come save me from this nipple-obsessed, screaming, drooling toddler? She is constantly shoving her hand down my shirt and fiddling my nipples and then screams and throws herself around when I block her from doing so, she refuses to go to bed and screams half the night, she is throwing temper tantrums left and right even over stupid crap like me giving her a banana (but not the peel like she thought she should have), she follows me around and just yells at me. Is there some kind of parental-abuse hotline that I can call about this? I'm feeling very sleep deprived and beat-up from my 18 month old. Sad

This will be my evening tonight: Wine Wine Wine Wine Wine

AGnu · 19/12/2014 16:23

Eep, Lib! Twins?! That would be amazing/terrifying! Grin Shame you couldn't get your scan photos ready for Christmas though. Maybe you could use it as a "here's something to look forward to in the new year" surprise!

We used to have satsumas in our stockings too. Last time I had a stocking was a couple of years ago. I think my niece made some comment about the fact that I hadn't put a stocking out so I said I'd forgotten to bring mine over & took my sock off to hang instead. DH had actually brought my stocking full of gifts as a surprise! I got so excited by a proper stocking that I completely forgot all about my sock & left it hanging there. It was about a month later when I visited my parents next & only then did I notice my sock hanging up... When I retrieved it I discovered that my DMum had put a satsuma inside on Christmas eve as a joke... It was somewhat wrinkled! Grin

DSis has left. Mad rush to the train station but she would've made her train if the ticket machines had been working. Instead she just stood there putting her card in & out until I sent her to the office. Eventually she got her ticket & started saying her goodbyes & trying to hug the children. Kinda thought her train would've left by this point so shouted at her to just go... She got there before the train left but they wouldn't let her on! Sad All ok in the end though... She got the next train which was even more delayed! Both DSs have slept since we got back! They've had a rather over-exciting few days. Will get even more exciting when they realise that Daddy is off for a whole 2 weeks! Roll on 7pm I bet it'll be closer to 8pm though...

Is it in the area we talked about Frus? Will have to try & arrange to meet for a cuppa sometime if you do move closer! Smile

We're having tantrum issues too. Earlier Runt screeched right in my ear as I picked him up & it still feels weird several hours later! He screeches at everything these days. It's getting louder & more piercing & I'm a bit concerned he's going to either permanently damage my hearing or I'll drop him from the surprise/pain like I nearly did earlier! I might take to wearing ear plugs anytime I go near him. Even if I'm just planning on walking past him to get something he'll assume I'm going to interrupt his game & screech at me. It's like living with an owl!

Lib!!! Wow!!! Too early to say Congratulations? ???? Why on earth can't they confirm it? Surely it's obvious? How do you feel about it? How does DP feel?

They could see one little baby with one heartbeat, but she could see two 'poles' which are what will become the umbilical cord. Si there is a possibility that there is another baby hiding behind the one we could see. Because it's early days it's all rather vague, had to have an internal scan to get even this much.

I dont feel anything as I refuse to panic until I have firm information. Then I will panic!

DP is pragmatic, he says if there are two we will cope. And we would you know.

NHas been fab this week. I'm pretty poorly with a horrid cold and very tired and she's been so gentle and kind. She's a really good kid at the moment!

Thanks Frus. My body really fooled me this time. I'll take a different approach next month Wink Yes I'll be indulging in red wine, pate, Brie and Stilton this Christmas Smile

AGnu · 21/12/2014 16:22

So sorry pear. We've probably not exactly discouraged your excitement! Blush I'll try to keep calmer next month! Enjoy your Wine

Lib I hear it's quite common for two foetuses to start growing but for only one to survive but people often don't know that's happened because one gets absorbed before the scan dates. Your early scan may have picked up on something that won't be visible by the next scan.

I was utterly convinced that Runt was twins. To the point that I researched the local NICU & read up on what to expect with pre-term twins! I was so well prepared by the time my first scan came that I was a bit disappointed that I wouldn't be making use of my knowledge! HmmBlush

You would absolutely manage though, no matter how many babies there are. Sounds like N will be a helpful big sister & just remember - there are women with triplets, quads, quintuplets... Octuplets... Twins doesn't seem so scary when you think about it! Grin I'm not helping, am I?!

bringonthetrumpets · 21/12/2014 21:02

Ahh, so sorry pear ! You are not letting the bus down, we love you no matter what! Yes to the wine, the soft-gooey cheeses, and the boozy deserts this Christmas!

So.... we got a kitty yesterday. Totally random surprise, my little sister's friend picked up a super friendly stray, couldn't keep her and made an appointment for her to go to a shelter. She was too cute to resist so now we have a cat! The kids are very excited with their early Christmas present and "Paisley" has claimed the guest bed as her own and is very cozy snoozing on there all day. (No worries, she got shuttled straight to the vet after we picked her up and she got a clean bill of health).

peardrop2 · 22/12/2014 00:05

Bring you mad lady...you've just added another child to your brood Wink Now you will have to get the kitten a stocking Grin Love the name though, what made you choose it?

Thanks ladies. I'm fine now. Luckily Christmas is nearly here and I am absorbed in getting ready for it trying anyway so I have no time to selfishly sulk and feel sorry for myself Grin Plus now my NY resolution is easy... 1. Get a BFP Wink

AGnu · 22/12/2014 09:38

Bring can we have a pic?

bringonthetrumpets · 22/12/2014 15:01

I am mad. My DH thinks so, but now he's completely smitten with the kitten and adores her. Grin He named her after Bob Paisley, a former LFC manager. He's obsessed with LFC and now we have an animal named after some aspect of that team. I'm waiting for him to paint our house that outrageous shade of red and play the song as our doorbell. Hmm

But just look at how cute she is! I think she's adopted me rather then the other way around. She follows me around the house and if I'm sitting down, she is sitting on me purring and kneading away. She is tolerant with the kids and she'll let them touch her and will just walk away when she's sick of them. which is what I wish I could do We really lucked out with this cutie. Although, I have to haul her back into the vet today as her left eye is kind of cloudy and her 3rd eyelid keeps coming out. Ugh. 3 kids in a tiny vet's room with a cat. FUN.

Oh and M has come up with her own names as well. She currently calls her "Tee-da" or "Kee-kee". It's adorable!
