Oh Frus, that's a lot on your plate!

Hey, hey, hey. Hey now. I'm a DAMN good cookie maker I'll have you know! Cakes and bread, eh, not so much.... but I rock at cookies. And I would suggest you do go make yourself a batch, because they are GOOD cookies! Grin

Huh? A vitamin? So confused.

Maybe your midwife is just getting baby boy vibes from you already? You never know...!

So. Hey gals. I went to the bra store. And shock of the day. The lady measured me and I'm a 32C. Shock I asked what she was smoking. Everybody come check out my new brassiere! I have boobs! WOOOOOOO.

peardrop2 · 25/03/2015 21:13

Bring - I put bf vitamins and omega 3 in the bag for her.

You have boobs?! Hmmmm that's suspicious Wink

OP posts:
AGnu · 25/03/2015 21:50

bring are they sore? Have you poked them? Try running up & down the stairs a few times? Grin

Fx all goes well tomorrow Frus! I nearly offered to have DS for you... then I remembered we've not actually met IRL & that might be a bit weird! Blush

pear does the midwife have a side gig as a fortune teller? I think it's probably quite common for women to want to review previous births about the time that they're thinking of doing it again so she probably just assumed! 2 boys are exhausting great though!

peardrop2 · 25/03/2015 22:02

Agnu - I walked away feeling like she was a double act Wink Oooooo now you're the one telling porkies...I know 2 boys = peace, happiness and love ?????? Oh man....I can't even begin to imagine how crazy it must be to have 2 boys Shock Bpear would be an amazing big brother though as he's a real strong character lol I've had a sense that I will end up with what Bring has... 2 boys and a girl so it would not surprise me if she's right lol

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 26/03/2015 01:07

Ha, nope. Not sore. Not magically appeared. They are just so completely deflated from feeding 3 kids for 2 years each that it sure doesn't look like they should be fitting in a bra that size! And the coil is still firmly in place. Wink

2 boys are actually great. They are absolute best friends and keep each other company. They are a lot of work, but boys are so great to their mamas :) Plus they are great for hanging clothes down to each other, too! Saves loads of money.

Oh good luck all around for you Frus!

AGnu · 26/03/2015 01:18

It's actually costing us money atm, bring - we're having to buy Calf new clothes so we can put Runt in the ones that still just about fit him! Calf could've been in those clothes for at least another month or 2 but Runt needs them now! They're currently asleep in the same size PJs & neither looks out of proportion. The whole handing clothes down thing doesn't work so well when they're close in age, the first one's short & skinny & the second one is average-ish height &, erm, cuddly... Best laid plans & all... Grin We're blatantly going to end up buying clothes as if we have twins! Calf's been ravenous the last couple of days though - could be a growth spurt, or just making up for being ill & going to bed without dinner a few times recently!

Lots of stories on MN about coil babies...

kittykatsforever · 26/03/2015 01:24

So your going for three then pear??
Exciting about the scan lib, what lovely news will you have another scan or just the 12weeker now?
And no bad mum award for re using the pressie, very sensible! I must admit I havnt given it a second thought she may get nothing but a cake from me lol tiger wouldn't remember now what she got for her last bday! She remembers her cake though and it gets mentioned frequently Grin
3 days left of holl's Hmm it's been amazing have any of you seen the video of tiger swimming we posted? No armbands, I'm so proud of her she been so confident while here, frusso sounds like a rough few days, it sucks when they keep hurting themselves, he's had his three occasions though maybe that's it Grin

peardrop2 · 26/03/2015 07:11

Kitty - yes I'm set on 3 Smile i negotiated this before getting married knowing what a pain in the bum DH would be to persuade on the matter! Having 2 boys would only help get the 3rd even more Wink Your holiday sounds so lovely! I love it when all the effort of going away pays off...especially with children! Well done tiger!! What a proud moment Smile

Bring - thanks for saying two boys are cool. When I see two little brothers running around together it does look extremely cute but I know it would be a lot of hard work although the 3 year almost 3 year gap would help. However, I'd also like to think having two boys at the some point makes life easy because surely they entertain themselves together? If I was to have a girl would she be entertained by bpear? Probably like your M she would be!

We still had to buy a lot of new clothes for #2 as he was born on an opposite season from #1. But now that they are older it's been working out really well. Especially for jeans!

Ha. Nope. No coil baby here. AF showed up this morning. I'm just very proud of my new bra size Grin

That sounds like such a fun holiday Kitty ! I do love FL so much. My family has been going ever since I could remember.

Frus - is that because you've had a few trips to A&E? I guess they're just making sure things are OK but it must be a pain from your viewpoint.

Poor elephant baby!

Kitty, I have holiday envy. I'm fat and bloaty and need some sunshine. When I was pregnant with N I had a week in Fuerteventura and feel quite strongly that this is my due again.

bringonthetrumpets · 27/03/2015 12:59

I agree Lib You deserve a babymoon!

That really stinks Frus Annoying that they are on-top of you from 1 A&E visit yet so many children who desperately do need their help are falling through the cracks. Obviously their efforts are not being put to use where they are needed. Poor guy! Hope the bumps recede quickly!

#2 did something similar yesterday and ran smack into the corner of the kitchen counter and managed to pop the skin open right next to his eye. It's small enough and it didn't really gape or bleed too much so I just stuck a butterfly bandaid on it and made him sit with ice. Poor kid has a swollen black eye now but I'll be damned if I have to go to the hospital for another A&E visit this year! Our health insurance deductible (the amount we have to pay before the insurance will start to cover the care) is $3,000 per family member or $5,000 for the whole family. I'm pretty certain we have hit at least $3,000 for the family with DH's chest pains visit in January and DS#1's concussion visit have put us into some serious cash-lock-down at the moment trying to pay off all the bills. It's insane.

Now #1 woke up with a sore throat this morning after I got an email from his teacher yesterday saying that Strep Throat have been found in a student in his class. Off to the doc we go AGAIN

Lorelei353 · 27/03/2015 16:46

Sorry I've been rubbish lately. I don't even have an excuse. I just don't know where the time goes. I've just caught up reading though.

Lib glad scan went well. Fingers crossed for very sticky bean

pear I'm so glad that you had a good meeting with your midwife. I know it's all been on your mind so it's great to hear what really happened and feel in a better place about it all.

frus hope your DD's surgery went well.

DS is banging his head everywhere too. He fell over the other day and smacked his head on the corner of the skirting board. Big egg popped up instantly. That said, he also walloped me with the wardrobe door and I had a big egg on my eyebrow too Hmm . He also has a massive bite mark on his arm where one of the scamps at nursery obviously thought he looked tasty.

In total PFB news, DS did his first pee on a potty! All by himself too (we're not potty training him at all). He's REALLY interested in the potty and often will go and sit on it if he needs to do a poo. He won't do anything though and will get up and go back into the living room and poo instantly. He does like to go back and sit on the potty again after. I didn't think he'd made the connection with weeing but the other night we stripped him for bed, including taking nappy off. He was having his nightly run-around-naked and said 'poo poo' so we said, 'okay do you want to use your potty?'. So he went and sat on it, reading his Thomas potty book and neither of us were in the room. When DH went in he stood up and had done a wee in it. Proud mama Blush He got a sticker in his Thomas book for that.

He is potty obsessed though. I turned up to pick him up from nursery and all the kids were outside. I was told he was inside having his nappy done. So I waited. And waited. And waited. Someone eventually went looking for him (and the worker who was with him) and apparently he was sitting on the potty and kept saying he wasn't finished. Hmm Funny little thing.

peardrop2 · 28/03/2015 01:28

Grrrrrr Bpear woke screaming at 12 and now I can't get back to sleep at 1:30am Hmm AF hasn't arrived yet so I've been googling early symptoms Blush

AGnu · 28/03/2015 02:31

How frustrating pear! Calf refused to settle until gone 11. We had him standing on the low radiator, turning his light on, throwing his favourite toy out, generally charging around laughing... In the end we resorted to crackers, water & accidental violence. He was sitting on his duvet when DH was trying to tuck him in - DH tugged without thinking, Calf toppled & hit his head! I went up because he was asking for me & he told me "Daddy bumped me." Erm... Yes, because you were a sweet little angel peacefully sleeping in your bed when DH just went in & brutally attacked you... Hmm He stayed in his bed after that, although he still didn't settle for another hour!

I'm so tired. I've been desperately trying to decide what wool to buy for a cardigan I want to crochet for my upcoming new niece. I've not done proper nice clothes before & I've been going round in circles. I want to do a matching hat too but the hat requires a different thickness of wool & I'm sure there's a way around that using a bigger hook or something but my brain is too tired to figure it out... but I wanted to order wool before I went to bed... I think I might give up, what with needing to be up in about 5 hours & all... Zzzzzz....

Hope you get back to sleep pear!

peardrop2 · 28/03/2015 08:06

Agnu....how you find the energy to keep making things for your family continues to amaze me Smile Do you not want to take a break or do you hate sitting doing nothing? You're very kind to make such lovely gifts!

Urrrggg I feel terrible! I feel all achey and similar feelings to coming down with the flu Hmm DH is working. Bpear has an incredible amount of energy this morning Hmm

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 28/03/2015 11:41

DH has returned from work to save the day Wink I'm tucked up in bed woohoo! I don't think feeling like you're going to come down with the flu is a symptom is it? Hmm

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 28/03/2015 13:39

Aww Pear! NOOOO! Please don't get sick. I would hate for you to have the flu! Hope it's a 1-day deal and you're up and at'em again tomorrow.

What is it with these little humans insisting on ruining their parents' sleep which in turn just makes the parents walking, cranky zombies the next day left to deal with everything else in life while the perfect little angle shit gets to have a lovely afternoon nap to make up for the shenanigans they put everyone through the night before. Then the parents finally feel free at 8 pm and finally get to have some normal adult time so they stay up to 11 enjoying this freedom, only to have the vicious cycle repeat itself

Hmm
peardrop2 · 28/03/2015 18:31

Thanks bring Smile I slept most of the afternoon and still feel the same. Really odd. I'm hoping things improve by the morning as I have a 4 year olds birthday party to attend Shock

So, I think we've just made a boo boo. I showed DH this sandpit that is reduced from £99 to £45. It's always been my dream to have a massive sandpit in our garden as I love sitting and playing sandcastles with the kids. However, as time went on I realised that the reality of having your own sandpit means it will damage your grass, bring sand into your home and take up a lot of space in the garden. We've probably got the space, just. I wasn't happy to have a small one as I wanted one where all Bpears friends could play in the summer. Why I'm catering for other people's children is crazy of me Wink So, have I gone PFB crazy? Dh Has just announced that he brought it whilst I was sleeping. Apparently in the reviews we would have to sort out a better cover as this one leaks. Thoughts please? Grin [[
