Eek! Exciting news Lib! Fx it all goes to plan this time! Come on sticky bean! Grin

Librarina · 17/03/2015 14:25

Well the amount of queasy I'm feeling suggests this bean is sticking with all its might. Off for a scan on Friday so fingers (toes, legs, arms, foof) all cross that it goes to plan x

bringonthetrumpets · 17/03/2015 16:04

Awww! Brilliant news Lib ! Hope the scan goes well!!

peardrop2 · 18/03/2015 03:53

Congratulations Lib Smile

Need some help. Can anyone recommend food that Bpear might eat whilst coping with his sore throat? It's been a week and the only things he will eat are baby bel, cold Sweetcorn and cake. Oh and porridge or Weetabix first thing because he's so hungry Hmm I've tried pasta, scrambled egg, rice, soup, natural yoghurt, purées , baked potatoe mashed up, baked beans, peas, sweet potatoe and chicken drumsticks. These are all things he loved before falling ill. What's cold and similar to baby bel and Sweetcorn? I'm just too tired to think. He won't stop waking in the night Hmm

peardrop2 · 18/03/2015 03:56

Oh and I've tried cucumber, fish pie and wakey wakey hoops. He will have fromage frais and ice cream Blush

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 18/03/2015 03:57

And I've tried salmon

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 18/03/2015 04:11

Dr google says baby food, smoothies and ice pops. Could try some Ella's kitchen, might work!

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 18/03/2015 13:26

Gina fords tinned tomatoes, 2 eggs and grated cheese with dried herbs baked dish in the oven finally broke him down!!! Pheweeee! Maybe he will nap longer then 30 minutes now Wink

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 18/03/2015 14:40

Sad Pear sounds like it's been a rough ride over there! Glad he finally got something down the hatch!! I really do hope he's able to sleep so you can get a freaking break. Ella's kitchen pouches are our go-to for cranky, ill little ones. That sounds like a whole lotta frustration and a very eclectic meal Wink

In a similar thread, M was a screaming, head-banging banshie last night. I could not get her to settle down, it lasted for like 30 minutes, and it was at 3:00 in the f'ing morning. She broke me down that one. She broke me down into a sniveling, crying, worthless mess. DH had to swoop in and save us and sleep in M's bed with her. It's like we've regressed back to newborn days and I'm so. fucking. tired.

peardrop2 · 18/03/2015 20:49

Thanks bring. He slept for 2 hours this afternoon and was a much nicer little person when he woke up!! Sleep solves everything Smile I hope you have a better night tonight. They're really testing us aren't they!

Cd27 and I've peaked Hmm I haven't Dtd since Sunday night Confused With only 6 days until AF arrives it's impossible for me to implant anyway right? In the end I got 14 high days which is why I gave up Hmm even if I did fertilise an egg chances are v high for a boy now aren't they lol

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 20/03/2015 15:26

Hello, I've calmed down a bit. Dtd today just in case I get lucky with fertilisation even though I know my chances are slim so late in the day. Bpear is feeling better now TG! It's nice to have a happier boy back!!

Hope everyone has nice weekend plans? Anyone see the eclipse?

OP posts:
AGnu · 20/03/2015 15:44

Glad Bpear is doing better. DTD is always worth a go, just in case! Grin

Haven't really thought about the weekend yet. Just taking things an hour at a time today. It's been a long day - I kept Calf off nursery so we could watch the eclipse together but he's been grumpy right from the moment he woke up. Runt's not been much better but at least he's slept this afternoon.

I watched the eclipse - DC weren't at all interested, except Runt was very interested in my make-shift tripod & managed to knock it over just minutes before it reached the maximum point & I spent ages trying to find the sun with the binoculars the wrong way round while trying to appease both boys! Not the best moment & I didn't get to see the maximum point but I did see quite a bit. The clouds cleared for us just as it was getting noticeably darker. Smile

bringonthetrumpets · 20/03/2015 16:55

Aww pear today just has to be the day! It's spring equinox, a solar eclipse and a full-moon. Maybe it's the trifecta that will get that egg fertilized and sprouting! So glad the little guy is feeling better. Life just feels easier when they are feeling better, doesn't it?

So, I've just had to tell M to stop hitting the cat with a hockey stick. Geeze-Louise she's a feisty little shit today. Terrorizing those poor animals. Last day of spring break for the kids I am so not cut out to be a full-time SAHM. Hmm

peardrop2 · 20/03/2015 21:26

Yes! Today has to be the perfect day to fertilise an egg, surely Wink

So in love with bpear right now. He's started to blow bubbles with a wand all on his own accord. I didn't even show him, he's obviously just been watching. It's so cute Smile

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 20/03/2015 21:28

Bring - whenever I hear someone say that about being a SAHM I start to wonder if there is something wrong with me Wink

Hello guys, still in Florida, coming on to the end of week 1 been really good so far, lovely weather and yes pear we've been to disney landGrin was a long 8-7 day but loved it!!
We have wifi at the villa but trying to keep away from too much tech things and spend a quality family holl, fantastic news though lib I'm so chuffed for you and praying the scan goes well
Pear keep trying it will happen and don't worry about when you dtd one of those suckers will get there ( both mine should be boys if we went by ovulation and diet btw)
Glad to hear your Florida break was a success bring, lovely memories and a few built bridges!
Not so good on the teeth front, looks like I've escaped that one, kitten has usually felt them but she's got her canines now so I think we escaped lightly with them

AGnu · 21/03/2015 13:20

Agnu - thanks Wink I'm glad someone is hopeful Smile

Back to dangling legs in air whilst DH gets to relax downstairs humph! TG for toddler naps!! I've told DH that we have to try again tomorrow and he's actually sulky about it!! I will try another angle tomorrow...this will be your last chance in 14 months Wink

OP posts:
bringonthetrumpets · 22/03/2015 22:52

How'd that other angle go for ya, pear? Funny to imagine DTD being a chore for guys, isn't it?

#2's 5th birthday yesterday. Went out for pancakes and then to the science museum right when it opened so #2 was in dinosaur heaven and having a paleontologist to pester all to himself. Then lunch with my family (sans my mum) for birthday lunch. Twas a good weekend. .....and now it's snowing outside and we are expecting 2 inches between now and the morning.

peardrop2 · 22/03/2015 23:16

Mission complete bring Wink Managed 3 days in a row so I've done my job and it's over to my body to finish the job!! Come on body you can do it!! Grin

Awww that sounds like the perfect 5 year old birthday!!! So cute Smile

OP posts:
peardrop2 · 22/03/2015 23:18
