I now have 3 nurseries booked to visit. The first one tomorrow is attached to a primary school. The other two are independent. I've read that bpear could go to the independent nursery until he is 5 (for free) and skip reception. That way I could have him doing 3 full days instead of 5 (when he's 4 years old). It's another option. I'll have more of an idea tomorrow when I see the attached nursery.

Had a very teary morning. Had to drop off my kitty to get spayed and they're keeping her overnight. Sad I hope she does ok.

Not much to report on the kid-front. Knock on wood, everyone is healthy and low-drama right now. M is actually sleeping in her bed all night. Squeeee! I can finally sleep!

Ds2 is getting all signed up for kindergarten tonight. Meep, two kids in the big-institution-public school next year!

Going to Vegas in March with some girlfriends and DH is staying home. It's only for 4 days/3 nights. He thinks that being with the kids on his is "time in the bank" for him to go and do something... when reality I'm just cashing in for all the CRAP I had to deal with over Christmas! He's like -293492181 time in the bank for that!

Bring ~ how is your cat? Everything OK?

Need bonkers easel advice. Bpear went crazy over the nursery painting easel yesterday so I've now gone bonkers over searching for one at home. This is a breakthrough as he has had not interest in colouring/painting before. Do I get a cheapie crayola second hand one for £3 (if I win it) or do I splash out and get a whiteboard/chalkboard worth 25 pounds at Toys R Us in the sale...with good reviews?

Second hand pear, everything with kids is short lived!

bringonthetrumpets · 23/01/2015 17:28

Second-hand! It's the only way to go.

Kitty is good. We are picking her up this afternoon. Really miss that little scamp!

Ok thanks ladies. I'll lookout for a second hand one Wink

Hmm apparently people are only selling very "used" easels with lots of pen marks so I've gone another route. I'm selling stuff that Bpear never liked (and I thought was a rubbish purchase) Wink Already made 9 pounds, only 16 to go Smile

Great idea, pear!

M just got a time-out for throwing her boot at the cat's head. Hmm

peardrop2 · 24/01/2015 16:34

Not the cats week Shock

Poor kitty! I bet she's feeling very sorry for herself!
Lots of cuddles for her

peardrop2 · 25/01/2015 20:58

Wow, did not realise how easy it is to sell second hand kids stuff! Managed to make enough to buy Bpears easel Smile

I've made £500 this month pair selling tigers second hand clothes!! Some of that is postage mind but wow hey

peardrop2 · 25/01/2015 22:00

Wow indeed Kitty!! DH wants me to sell the sling we never used because we couldn't get our head around it. First I want to have another go because I think I spent 65 pounds on it 2 years a go Shock it's the Caboo Dx carrier.

Huge market! Especially newborn stuff since it's like brand-new most of the time. Apart from today's excursion for buying #1's jeans, we get second-hand for all of the kids' clothes. I'm finding now that he boys are getting older it's harder to find nice things in their size. Boys wear everything down to bare threads. Holes in all of their jeans and elbows of shirts. Hmm Are girls the same, frus and kitty?

bringonthetrumpets · 26/01/2015 03:04

DH is learning how to play the ukelele. I'm in love. Wink

bring he could learn Grin

bringonthetrumpets · 26/01/2015 18:43

He says he's up for it Grin It wants to do a double act though Hmm

M is currently sporting a blow-hole fountain ponytail on top of her head and a tutu. It's just one of those days.

AGnu · 26/01/2015 19:03

2 boys at toddlers this morning insisted on being dressed in the princess dresses & donned cowboy hats! Grin Kids are mad!

I'm having a different sort of "one of those days". Calf has been grumpy almost the entire day. Runt's been mostly ok, except at toddler group where every time I stood up he'd sneak up behind me, put his arms around my legs & his head through. How I didn't fall on him I don't know! Now they're still eating dinner breakfast was 45 minutes to eat most of one slice of toast & my eyes are stinging from ocular rosacea & my stomach hurts for no particular reason. Getting a bit concerned about my digestive system tbh. It's been hurting for a couple of days now! DH is finally on his way home. Am kinda hoping the DC will eek out their dinner until he gets back & he can do bedtime whilst I whimper on the sofa!

Yes, DH is home but still doing bedtime. No idea what takes him so long! Confused

No idea what triggers it Frus. Tiredness & dehydration are definitely risk factors but neither seems applicable today. I just seem to go through phases where I'll get regular migraines & OR flare ups for a few weeks & then I'll be fine again for a while. Right now I feel like I'm falling apart but I know I'll have another good phase soon.

DH commented earlier that he's worried Calf gets bored during quiet times in the afternoon. He has whichever toys he chooses to take to his room & definitely needs the downtime, as do I. Really didn't need to hear DH doubting my decisions when he's not the one who's here to deal with the behaviour/stressed child, while feeling stressed anyway from not having any space. I nearly shouted at him that he can go find a new wife who can take better care of the DC & I'll just go throw myself off a cliff so my eyes will never bother me again... I decided that was a touch more melodrama than his comment called for! GrinBlush

I regularly attempt to pin Calf down long enough to put his hair up & take a photo to send to DH.

kittykatsforever · 27/01/2015 07:08

Mine arnt at the age where they've worn clothes kind enough to wear out yet bring although tiger and her tiny feet trash every shoe within minutes just like frus said, it's patent all the way here, they are the only ones I can pass down as her others are fit for the bin, also leggings don't last long they look worn pretty quickly but tiger lives in them!
It's next clothes pear there's a huge market for them for some reason, they can go for full price if sort after and I usually buy all mine in the sale so I've sold for more/as much as I've paid, no other makes fetch the money just next
