GwenaelleLaGourmande · 23/01/2015 22:23

eliza do watch colds at this age for signs of bronchiolitis etc. remember the conversations two years ago. Wash that nose out.

kyz I would plead a random pg related issue, let dp take e and enjoy some you time.

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 23/01/2015 22:25

Plans for this weekend: snow. Except they keep changing the forecast. I moved here for proper winters. I want snow.

Lily311 · 24/01/2015 05:37

Morning,

This weekend is all about me. O is staying with my parents and I have a coffee date with a friend followed by theatre with my sister followed by drinks with other friends. Than tomorrow coffee with my best friend, picking up O and meeting my old high school friend and his family. So busy busy buys and I'm looking forward to it.

Weather here is horrendous, have been raining constantly for 30 hours now.

TheRealGracePoole · 24/01/2015 05:47

I can't believe all these alphabets. O is more bothered about tools and sings Peter Plays with one hammer one gamer one hammer in bed.

Is it in a working mens club, or similar kyz ?

This weekend, we are off skiing. Yippppeeeeee?

TheRealGracePoole · 24/01/2015 05:49

I mean yippppppeeeee!

Sounds ace lily, very civilised and grown up.

Are you having a tantrum gg?

Pikz · 24/01/2015 09:26

Grace funnily enough we were in the haberdashery department of John Lewis (so very quiet and refined atmosphere) trying to buy some bits for my sister's birthday and L suddenly started loudly and enthusiastically singing/shouting Peter Hammers with one hammer etc. We got some amused looks. I don't know where he got it from as I've never heard him sing it before.

StuntNun · 24/01/2015 09:46

I am a little concerned by the letters thing. He can read all the letters and numbers, recite the alphabet song and he's just started saying 's is for star' etc. We haven't made any effort to teach them to him and the other boys are older and beyond sounding out letters and phonics when they're doing their homework. I thought at first it might mean another Aspie but J doesn't have many other signs of autism and the key thing is that he can identify emotions which I would expect someone with autism to struggle with. He hasn't been advanced in any other milestones, in fact a few months ago I was concerned because his speech seemed somewhat delayed.

FructoseTart · 24/01/2015 11:39

Morning/afternoon! I haven't been on since my last post so just caught up!
Neither DD's have had dummies. I tried them with them when they were both babies but they didn't like. DD1 had a bottle of milk for bed until she was 4.5. Her teeth are perfect. Zara is still using a bottle for milk and occasionally light squash when she isn't very well as she will drink more.

I'm still waiting to hear back about the parenting course thingy.

In other news, tmi coming up, DP has managed to split my scar a little from my stitches on my lady patio from when I had 2nd degree tear with Z. It's v painful. I gave him a bollocking for being so rough Hmm Thought I was miscarrying until I realised.Blush

Z will count one, two, three. Knows nothing about letters, but yesterday learnt the colours yellow, pink, blue, brown, purple and black.

We watch lots of films. Mainly toy story 1,2&3 or frozen. She likes to sing along to frozen.

BigPigLittlePig · 24/01/2015 12:08

I lovingly made hummus. Not a massive fan myself, but had some chick peas in the cupboard so thought I would give it a go. Gave some to F. Who said "yuck, me not like" then pulled this face Confused + Envy

Ouch fructose, just, ouch.

Enjoy your holibobs Grace xx

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 24/01/2015 12:24

How can an MN baby not love hummous? :o mine hate it

fructose ouch that sounds v painful but Grin at lady patio. Never heard that one before.

BigPigLittlePig · 24/01/2015 12:36

Imagine the potential for patio jokes. Crazy paving. Shrubbery.

I know GG, outrageous re the hummous. I did try telling her that as a MN baby she was obliged but....these toddlers Wink

TheRealGracePoole · 24/01/2015 13:52

I had never heard about Peter playing with hammers till I came here.

Peter's mummy needs a health and safety discussion if you ask me. Hmm

StuntNun · 24/01/2015 14:07

Mine drinks Fruit Shoots. He just doesn't know better. Blush He does like naice ham though. Grin

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/01/2015 14:34

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 24/01/2015 15:31

Fab news Eliza you must be very very relieved :)

TheRealGracePoole · 24/01/2015 16:31

Brilliant news eliza Grin

Passmethecrisps · 24/01/2015 17:56

Awesome news eliza

We went ice skating. P cried 50% of the time and we spent a fortune. She is full of it now. She appears to have a selective memory

Lily311 · 25/01/2015 07:54

I had so much fun last night, was out after theatre with the girls. I even managed to flirt with a Zumba teacher and gave my number away. No chance for anything serious with him but it lifted my mood up a bit.

Off to see my friend for a coffee than picking O up from my parents.

Passmethecrisps · 25/01/2015 09:43

Sounds fantastic lily!!

Elizadoesdolittle · 25/01/2015 09:52

Sounds like a lovely weekend lily

A fed like a demon all evening. He really doesn't like being put down which makes it tricky to do anything. Going to try the sljng today now he's a bit chunkier and see if that helps. The girls are in the playroom playing schools which from what I can tell involves DD1 bossing E around and E refusing to do as she says. That's pretty much how all their games end up.

Quiet day today. walk to feed the ducks a bit later (hopefully without any body getting shat on) then visitors followed by my DSIS BIL and DN coming for dinner. For the moment I am just enjoying still being in pjs. I've not been enjoying the morning school run!

Passmethecrisps · 25/01/2015 20:14

I used to play schools. All my teddies and dolls used to have to sit in rows while I berated their naughtiness and ticked my mum's library books in red pen.

Today we had the estate agent photographer round for the final step before our house goes on the market. It was a major slog getting things done but it is a huge step. Once it goes live I will share the link and you are all welcome to buy my house! P was a champion all day and seems to have a talent for pirouetting like an actual ballerina - she whips her head round to stare at the same space like proper dancers do. Weird to watch

BigPigLittlePig · 25/01/2015 20:39

Ah bless her, Pass. Can't wait to see some home grown house porn!

How were the ducks, Eliza? Any wee deposits today?! Can't remember if I said congrats on your wee man gaining weight, so, congrats!

Good day today, we went for a walk in some woods and discovered a hidden little castle on top of a hill, spied on some deer, and examined many rabbit holes. F has gone to sleep in her own bed, which is a blessed relief after a few terrible nights of her being in my bed. You think she would sleep on her side of a double but no, she has to share my pillow, my side, my air. V cosy. V incompatible with a good nghts sleep...

Hellish week awaits, 70+ hours at work, plus 3 crash related meetings in my "spare time" Envy

Cheer me up with your plans for the week!

Passmethecrisps · 25/01/2015 21:11

I am not sure you will recognise my house free of junk! It has certainly been photographed many times.

Tough week bp. That sounds such hard going. So the crash meetings are beyond your 70 hours of within your sleeping/pooing/peeing/eating hours? Sounds absolutely insane. I promise to stop whining about work - that is twice my working week.

Actually, that brings me to something. P thinks that every child who cries is crying because they miss their mummy. She has a teddy (one of these sad grey ones) which she was taking to earlier "you can't find you mummy? Not worry, we find her for you". All sadness relates to missing mummy. Normal? Something I should worry about?

Also! P has had a hacking cough for probably about two months with the last week being worse. She was at the doc this week for something else and he declared that he was "not worried about her" without actually entering into any discussion. I suspect he was worried I wnated abs - he is not my usual gp so fair enough. But how long should I leave this? She was in bed with us yesterday morning and I cohld feel the rattle in her chest. Thoughts ladies, please!

BigPigLittlePig · 25/01/2015 21:28

Pass I actually worked out the other day, that, minus sleep, work, nursery runs and meetings, I have approx 4 hours to myself. In which I will also do the washing Envy. And shower, etc. Envy Envy Envy

Coughs. Reflux? Grin Our old fave lol. Could it be though? Does she have lots of milk now? Perhaps try a bit less dairy.

Grin
