Just to start us off..

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I saw you on that thread. I felt a bit weepy reading actually. Old memories.

I hope you can fit in some MN time in there. Gee whizz. You are a busy lady. Does it feel right? Daft question but could you see yourself doing anything else ?

P eats a normal diet nowadays. She has taken a fancy to milk (cuppatea - milk plus boiling water) and has numerous yogurts and cheese sandwiches. This sounds like a bark and is worse at night. It doesn't seem to trouble her but sounds terrible

Elizadoesdolittle · 25/01/2015 21:52

Ducks were a success. Nobody got shat on or pecked.

bplp crap, that sounds really tough.

BigPigLittlePig · 25/01/2015 21:54

I love it Pass, truly, I love my job, and I feel extraordinary lucky to be able to say that and mean it. If it was anything else, I would feel very very resentful. This week is particularly bad as have a locum shift, plus those shitty meetings. But I should have a day off next week, and it will be a mummy and F day, no chores whatsoever. Picnics in the lounge, cuddles, nap together. Those days make it better Smile

BigPigLittlePig · 25/01/2015 21:56

And, today I was a domestic goddess, and made the following...

Chilli
Spag bol (spot the theme!)
Soup
Apple & blackberry crumble
Roast dinner
Cinammon & raisin bread.

Phew.

Will stop spamming the thread now!

Passmethecrisps · 25/01/2015 22:02

Sounds like it makes perfect sense then.

I showed a class a vid about being a vet last week. Every single child cried (as did I) and the child who wants to be a vet actually sobbed. She sobbed with want to be it. Want to do it. No matter what. What a wonderful thing.

BigPigLittlePig · 25/01/2015 22:08

I was that kid Smile

I remember sitting with my mum, all of a panic before my uni inteview, saying "but mum, I still don't know why I want to be a doctor".

And of course now I know, passion is obvious, you don't need words for it.

Passmethecrisps · 25/01/2015 22:20

You are it. No pretending.

Passmethecrisps · 25/01/2015 22:24

A wee bit of googling (I know, I know) suggests p has croup. She seems ok in herself so do we just carry on as normal and wait for it to pass?

FructoseTart · 25/01/2015 23:05

It was painful. Even more so as I was trying to get rid of thrush. My lady patio is now clear and there is no crack in the concrete! Wooop

GTbaby · 25/01/2015 23:42

Sniggers. Home grown house porn. Lol
Too tiered to comment further. Night night

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 26/01/2015 08:16

How is she this morning pass ?

FructoseTart · 26/01/2015 09:03

We're back to stage 1 with zara and her bowel movements :(

3 months ago she was given suppositories and movicol to help her poop as everytime she had one it ripped her bottom the poor mite. It helped and she got better at doing it, but she's now gone 3 days with no poop and is in lots of pain trying so back to the doctors today.

I think her previous experiences have scorned her and made it a frightening experience. Horrible to watch. We changed her diet and all that malarkey, so I think it could be down to intolerances. Sigh.
Anyone else's LO's struggling?

Lily311 · 26/01/2015 11:57

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 26/01/2015 17:54

Ooh good to know thanks Lily

Passmethecrisps · 26/01/2015 19:02

Good pointer lily

P was fine this morning, thanks. A little sleepy but cheerful and no temp. Cm mentioned the bark cough today and said it was only when she was sleeping. She is fine in herself though

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 26/01/2015 20:21

pass I'd try a humidifier and having her sleep with her head higher than the rest of her body then.

You know i am careful with coughs but DD1 goes months at a time with a bad cough when lying down and there is nothing wrong. And she has been thoroughly checked out with her pneumonia history and asthma in the family.

Definitely keep an eye on it but it could be nothing.

Passmethecrisps · 26/01/2015 20:29

I will do. So far tonight she has only coughed twice. She has a thick pillow and has been doused in olbas

Kyz · 26/01/2015 21:00

Evening all :) Hope you all had a good weekend! I did go to the party in the end and I suppose it could've been worse :) grace it was in a social club

Today dex dog was allowed his first walk so me, dp, e and my baby sister e went for a good run around on some really muddy fields. I don't know why I bathed the white dog yesterday. He isn't a white dog again now, I didn't need to bother! All 4 of us needed clothes changing but gosh it was fun :)

bless him eliza hope he's better soon, fab stuff re: weight gain (can't remember if i said that already?!)

so glad you had such a good time lily

awesome pass!

bless you bp that sounds hellish! Glad you've got that lovely day with F planned next week to look forward to and it's fab that you love your job though it sounds like you have SO much to do all the while! I'm glad I can read that you're happy though - if that makes sense? Wow at that cooking too, I am a SAHM and still don't manage such cooking :/

oh bless her fructose that sounds ever so painful :( one of my middle sisters had trouble going when younger and it used to make her bleed, she used to only be able to go sat on a potty and we'd put her in a warm bath and things like that to help her go. Can't remember everything as it was a long time ago now but it wasn't nice. hope she's alright soon!

thanks for that lily

bless her pass sounds like an odd one! hope it buggers off soon and leaves p alone!

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 26/01/2015 21:38

kyz if D Dog is anything like my goldie he won't be prooerly clean again til well into spring or summer. I never realized dogs love rolling in mud until I got a light coloured one. Glad you had a fab walkies though.

StuntNun · 27/01/2015 06:18

I've started getting Tara bathed at the grooming parlour, she's a lab cross so she's a mud magnet. They charge £20 to wash her, clip her claws, clean her ears and do unmentionable things with her glands. Well worth it from time to time as they get her much cleaner than we manage in the bath which involves the bathroom being covered in dog hair and the whole house getting wet.

FructoseTart · 27/01/2015 08:55

£20 is a good price for a lab! It's £25 here for my yorkie Confused and she needs doing every 8 weeks or so as her nails grow long and we have her shaved Grin

She's been put back on the medication for her poops. Not nice to watch. Fingers crossed we can get it sorted soon.

How many of the nov12 mums are expecting again? I know it was asked a while ago but I'm forever getting lost/forgetting

Passmethecrisps · 27/01/2015 20:10

2 hours sleep. Gee whizz today has been a long day.

No idea what happened really other than coughing waking p up at midnight and then her being awake for several hours after. I wasn't going to sleep well anyway (went to bed early and still wasn't near asleep by the time she woke) but I could live without hair stroking and giggles every time daddy makes a noise.

Fingers crossed she is better tonight. I have face pain which is never a good sign.

Not sure fructose in lose track

BigPigLittlePig · 27/01/2015 20:14

I hear ya Pass Brew We have had similar most nights this week. Yuck.

On a positive note, the physio only made my spine clunk once today, instead of the usual 7 or 8.

2 days til snow is supposed to arrive here...

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/01/2015 20:18

Oh dear pass. That doesn't sound like fun. Poor P and poor you. Is she on any meds or is it a case of riding it out?

Busy day today. Went to a play group this morning followed by a play date and friend for lunch then soft play hell after school. DH did the school run this morning though so I was able to eat breakfast and have a shower. Bliss.

Kyz · 27/01/2015 20:45

Evening all :) Slightly productive day today, I was feeling really swamped with everything I have to do at the minute and spent yesterday feeling like the world would swallow me - and I wanted it to. I've written the biggest list, so big it needs re-writing and putting into several sub-lists, but the point is I have crossed several things from this mega list today, and plan on crossing off more tomorrow. It can be done!

gg I'm pretty sure D dog will be that way inclined! I always bath my dogs myself, as I did dog grooming at college amongst other things, but i'm thinking of shelling out the ££ to get mine done, as it is already getting hard work and with four of them, it's a constant thing!

2 hours pass?! how are you upright? Hope you get plenty more sleep tonight!

bp yay for the one-clunk!

I am still regarding you as wonder woman eliza, most certainly!
