Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Elizadoesdolittle · 07/01/2015 11:49

I think the main problem is DD1 was only a day late (by hours) and E was 4 days early so I never really had it in my head that I'd go overdue. I was convinced it would come over Christmas. I should have listened to wanda in the sweepstakes and I think quichemama said similar too.

And I'm really sorry for moaning and I must sound so insensitive to those quiche members who have suffered losses and those wishing they were pregnant. I don't mean to be and I think of you all loads Thanks

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 07/01/2015 11:58

Sweep?

Sugar withdrawal very much exists zamboni and it is horrible Flowers

Passmethecrisps · 07/01/2015 12:22

I had multiple sweeps with p. One with an obstetrician who was cheerfully introduced by the midwife as being "wonderful - very large hands". DH wasn't quite sure what to make of seeing said chap with his hand in my nethers while making chat about economic theory

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 07/01/2015 13:55

I was embarassingly sweary with my ob gyn when he did mine (dd1). DH was shocked at my language. The doctor said he didn't blame me in the slightest and tbf he hadn't warned me what he was about to do.

Walked out into the waiting room afterwards and lots of scared looking pg women stared at me in silence. Blush

Am in absolute disbelief about what is happening in Paris today Sad

Pikz · 07/01/2015 13:58

Eliza do not apologise. You can guarantee any of us that do manage to get pregnant will be moaning if overdue despite how wanted/hard/not hard it is to get there.

At my sweep with L they felt his testicles and realised what they thought was a well engaged head was a well engaged bum. I had him 4 hours later Smile

Its Charlie

I can't remember my old login details so had to create a new one.

Zamboni · 07/01/2015 15:47

It's shocking GLaG. Hmm

I had 2 sweeps with DD. Painful and did bugger all to move things along. Planned ELCS is lovely indeed Stunt Smile

MsJupiter · 07/01/2015 20:13

Eliza you are a lovely thoughtful person and not insensitive at all. I would be just the same I am sure. Last Christmas (i.e. 2013) my sister had a due date of 19th Dec and when the baby didn't arrive on time she really wanted it to hang on till after new year so it wouldn't have a Christmas/NY birthday. It didn't stop her grumbling though! Being heavily pregnant is tough even when it's your first never mind with two little ones to run round after. My sister's daughter was born on 4th Jan in the end so she got her wish Smile

Not a fan of sweeps or internals after my experience with L. I had sweeps and internals for a week and he didn't budge a cm!

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/01/2015 20:31

Thank you jupiter and pikz xx

All these sweep talks are making me glad I didn't demand one at my last appointment.

Have had a lovely day with my friend and have things lined up tomorrow so it can stay put till Thursday evening if it must but that's all the leeway I'm giving it Grin

It is indeed very sad gg. I was actually unaware of it till DH came home and told me. Shocking.

Passmethecrisps · 07/01/2015 20:55

Hello lovelies.

The news from Paris is just awful.

I have a gastronomy question. DH made a lovely smoked salmon and spinach lasagne divided up into little portions. He used two lots of smoked salmon - one used fresh and one used having been frozen and defrosted. The different fish was kept separate so there is only one with the defrosted fish and it went back in the freezer having been put together. DH now thinks we can't use the defrosted then refrozen one. I think that at worse it will be crystallised but not poisonous. Thoughts? I might actually start my own thread!!

Also, p broke three eggs earlier ("oh, I brokened them!"). Not totally smashed but the membrane has broken. Can we pop them in the fridge and use them for scrambled tomorrow?

Questions over xx

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 07/01/2015 21:00

Don't know about the salmon but the eggs should be fine tomorrow pass

Passmethecrisps · 07/01/2015 21:02

Thank you!

I have started my own salmon thread!

Elizadoesdolittle · 08/01/2015 08:43

Morning check in. Still preggers but not as grumpy.

TheRealGracePoole · 08/01/2015 10:04

Glad you are not as grumpy eliza sounds lie, you have a nice day planned, enjoy. Xxx

StuntNun · 08/01/2015 11:15

Have you decided on names yet Eliza?

Elizadoesdolittle · 08/01/2015 14:25

Boys name yes, girls name not quite. I keep swinging between 2. Am just going to wait till baby is born and if it's a girl see if she looks like one or the other.

I now have 3 hours child free. woop. thinking of reading my kindle in a nice warm bath and then watching some trash tv. maybe a girlie movie.

DH has just been touted for a business golf day tomorrow so that's a sure fire way of meaning i'll go into labour tonight. Fingers crossed!

TheRealGracePoole · 08/01/2015 14:32

That sounds like a fab afternoon eliza

I am just going to retreat under the pile of laundry again.

StuntNun · 08/01/2015 14:38

I'm scared to read my Kindle in the bath in case I drop it. I have to stick with tree books for the bath.

TheRealGracePoole · 08/01/2015 16:37

Me too stunt I would drop it

TheRealGracePoole · 08/01/2015 16:37

Evening update please eliza

Elizadoesdolittle · 08/01/2015 19:20

Well the bath was bloody lovely Smile Smile nothing else to report.

Kyz · 08/01/2015 21:41

Eeeeeevening quiche! I know I was meant to keep up to date on here but if it makes it any better I have been keeping an eye on everyone on facebook - I just forgot that puppies are pretty hard work! I've spent most of my time outside trying to get him not to piss in the house. I think we've had 50/50 house/outside pissings today. I think we're getting there. Baby steps!

Can't be long now Eliza! glad your bath was luffly

gg i shall look for rolo puddings

lol, e always announces that so and so has done a poo if he hears a fart. He also asks to go to the troolert and frequently it is just for a fart rather than a poo.

isles i love bottom stickers, that is fab!

that's fab Stunt re j and food :)

weather is utterly wank here too. I am more aware of it whilst stood outside verrrry regularly with Dexter!

yay re love and visiting brother lily that's great stuff :)

yay for hollibobs Wanda!! No idea if we are having a holiday this year. If we do I am thinking it'll be an in the uk type one

gg 21 hours is fab. I wish I had your resolve. I probably could manage a decent length of time not going on the tinterwebs, but I would have to reply to texts/phonecalls

bless you gt i feel like that some days re: cooking!

my xmas tree is finally down, I would've kept it up but I really needed the space back!

aw yw your two sound so sweet together!

ouch gt hope your mums arm heals up quickly, bless her! sounds nasty!

oh Wanda, you're not wanda anymore! I'm catching up and find you are now Grace I shall have to try to remember this!

hi fructose nice to see you back!

tree books Stunt i like that!

can't remember what else I wanted to say, other than E is good, he is becoming more opinionated on things now and can be quite demanding, I feel mean not letting him have what he asks for because it's awfully cute when he asks, but I also don't feel i'll be doing him any favours constantly putting what he wants on tv or letting him stay at my mums longer than intended etc. This is a big thing actually, as I live next door to my mum and my 20mo sister is there, her and E are best friends, they adore each other, and mums house is twice the size of mine and e can run riot there. I take him daily, for an hour after tea and before bath, have done since I moved out. I also go there some mornings regularly, a lot more recently with it being over christmas. He loves it there, so much so that from the minute he gets up he wants to go there. I try painting, baking, puzzles, silly fun games, dancing, everything with him and it just doesn't seem to be enough :( if she has him and drops him off home he screams to go back :( I think I am answering myself here but I spent alot of time there over christmas as my siblings all came home for christmas and new year - this will be why he's being like it, won't it? he's just gotten used to being there an awful lot again hasn't he? I just feel a wee bit down in the dumps that he doesn't seem to want to spend much time with me :( It's been harder work recently as the weather isn't up to much for him to go out, plus the pup can't go out yet and I can't really leave him too long on his own, so I do wonder if e feels a little like he's sick of these four walls atm too...

BigPigLittlePig · 08/01/2015 23:23

Kyz, tomorrow when you take the pup out, take E too. Put on wellies, coat and hat, and make muddy puddles, play chase, throw a ball for the puppy. F gets a little bit cranky if she feels cooped up - 10 minutes outside can turn her mood on its head Smile

Elizadoesdolittle · 09/01/2015 10:09

kyz E doesn't like the cold. well the wind more I think, but at the same time she goes stir crazy if in every day so I make sure she gets out at least once a day.

I'm so tired it's untrue. And I am actually sleeping quite well at night so shouldn't be but I just feel exhausted. DH is golfing today which at least means he'll be home earlier so can do bath bed etc. Both girls are being so good but I am bad tempered and snappy. This baby needs to come soon for all our sakes. Not sure how much longer I can do this.

BigPigLittlePig · 09/01/2015 13:30

Big hugs Eliza. Come on wombsquatter!
