I have 3 brunyos, we lost one when she was 7 months old and ordered 2 more as I was really worried.

I think it has started, she has some thoughts about daddy now. She was looking at my medals last night and there was a couple running on one of them. She pointed at the lady one saying 'that's mummy', than looked at the other one and said 'that's daddy'. She obviously knows Leo from pictures and has heard about him a lot but as he was never physically was in her life, she didn't really know where to put him in her life. I'm nowhere near ready for the questions but I think I need to prepare. It's quite sad but amazingly beautiful to see her creating her own world, I just so wish it would be a different one.

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/12/2014 09:25

Just checking in to say baby is still in place. Got a busy day lined up somehow despite saying I'd have a couple of quiet ones. Got midwife which could well be my last appt I guess.

ThanksThanksThanks Lily ThanksThanksThanks

S is quite a dictator in his own way, he's mastered the command aspect if language very well. But he is out-dictated by DD who sees herself as supreme commander. Grin

I lie down with both of mine in bed to get them to sleep. As a baby DD could be left in a cot to self settle but S never managed it. When I went back to FT work when S was 6mo I opted for the path of least resistance and have carried on. I'm really relaxed about it now when DD was a baby we did the GF routines! but I think it's because after working all day I feel it is nice to feel so wanted by them and as it's usually quite speedy I am content to leave it as is for now.

All pre-xmas socialising now done. Smile Think will put on a film for the DC this afternoon and tomorrow we will have a day of pottering at home. DH is working heaps so we might nip to the pub to meet him for a drink during his split shift break if I can be arsed!

Lily311 · 23/12/2014 15:38

Tomorrow I'm meeting up a single mum friend and we have a trip planned to the local pond and playground. Going to see my parents in the afternoon than we are alone on the 25th. Will see my siblings and parents again on Boxing Day. I have a drink def tomorrow eve, can't do it at my parents as I need to drive after.

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/12/2014 18:32

Whilst I think of it I thought I'd give you a quick update on E. It's been over a month since her endoscopy and the improvement in her is amazing. I can't remember the last time she chocked/regurgitated any food whilst eating. Certainly not for 2 weeks anyway. I don't know if the omeprozale or the non dairy no soya diet is the reason or maybe a bit of both but whatever it is its working. We have another appointment in mid feb so will see what happens then but as you can imagine I am very relieved. I had an appointment come through from the speech and language therapy and am looking forward to calling them up and cancelling it. The consultant wrote a letter to my gp with a brief outline of his findings and treatment so hopefully the tag of neurotic mother will be removed and I can have a smug look next time I have to have any dealings with them.

Thanks for all your support and advice. I doubt I would have been able to roar as loudly without the quiche backing xx

eliza that's fab news!!!!

Passmethecrisps · 23/12/2014 22:14

Brilliant news eliza. It must be a massive relief to know that things are falling into place at long last.

I can't remember if I have posted in the last few days. . .

We were at the in laws which was great fun and p had a ball. The only slight issue was that mil fell down the outside steps while carrying p. We didn't see what happened but we heard the screams - pretty horrible as we were behind two very elderly visitors who we were seeing out and they were totally blocking our way. Poor mil was lying like a beetle trapped under a hysterical p. Both of them were soaking wet and a bit bruised but all fine after sweeties for p and a fag for mil.

Long lie this morning was followed by a family trip out for a curry and some last minute shopping. On our way home p suddenly said "that Santa!" And when I looked up, right enough there was a man with a very long while beard and very long white hair. Sadly he didn't look very jolly.

Tomorrow we are off down to my parents for two nights which will be nice

Pikz · 23/12/2014 22:28

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 24/12/2014 06:21

pass how scary but I snorted at your picture of mil being trapped like a beetle under P am so glad no-one was hurt. And sorry for snorting, until then my heart was in my mouth.

It's Christmas Eve people!!! I have to gopick up my meat and do my food shop.

kyz I hate losing posts gives me the Rage against MN. As does having bought a slow cooker I hate.

pikz that sounds lovely

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/12/2014 07:37

pikz that sounds amazing and just the sort of thing I'd choose.

pass poor p. glad to hear all was ok in the end. I remember when I fell over carrying E whilst preggers. It's scary stuff. Bet your mil was shaken up.

Bad night sleep last night. Don't feel like I had much at all. Not sure if it's new baby excitement or Christmas keeping me awake. Perhaps a bit of both Grin

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 24/12/2014 10:43

Food shop done. Am only leaving the house for walks between now and Saturday. Xmas Smile

Lily311 · 24/12/2014 11:34

I didn't dare doing any kind of shops today, everywhere is full, everyone is rushing.

We went for a walk by the pond with a friend than had coffee and now enjoying the peace and quiet. Will be going to my parents this afternoon but will be back in the evening.

eliza I think you have 2 more days. Enjoy Xmas :).

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 24/12/2014 11:53

Did I bet on the 28th or 29th for eliza ? Can't remember. But deffo a few more days.

The food shop was surprisingly quiet. They had packed up my meat order and didn't even have to wait at the checkout. Was a pleasant shopPing trip actually.

Zamboni · 24/12/2014 12:04

Also reckon you have a few more days Eliza. Maybe 27th? Good luck!

We have been for a walk to the park and nipped into Tesco metro for a couple of bits for tomorrow eve. We are eating at PIL tomorrow but home late afternoon. While I am assuming leftovers will be coming home with us, it occurred to me that it would be awful if they didn't!

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/12/2014 15:30

You said 29th pr which is what I think.

Anything on or after 28th is fine with me. I have plans up till then.

in case I don't get to check in later, hope you all have a lovely Christmas day xxxx

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 24/12/2014 16:47

My lunch for tomorrow is prepped. All I have to do is pop it in the oven for 20 minutes and do the veg.

Tonight is mainly nibbles and dh is doing himself some shellfish. Onion soup before bed.

Wandathewindfairy · 24/12/2014 18:16

No no no no eliza will be around a week late.

GTbaby · 25/12/2014 00:46

Xmas fails I bought A a Xmas PJ set. He is 15 months old now. The PJs say "my first Christmas".
I bought my family a moon pig card with H and A pictures. All rather lovely. Until I read the message. Love cassie and John. Face palm moment if ever I knew one. I forgot to change the example text!

I hope no one else has a face palm moment today. Merry Christmas everyone Grin

Pikz · 25/12/2014 05:46

GT I love you!

Merry Christmas quiche ??

OP posts:
Zamboni · 25/12/2014 08:14

GT that's brilliant Smile

Merry Christmas everyone!

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 25/12/2014 08:24

GT we all have facepalm moments. My DSis bought Frozen for the girls. I bought them what I thought was a different film. Nope. It's Frozen with its French title. So they have one each. You see. Facepalm.

Merry Christmas everyone.
