Passmethecrisps · 19/12/2014 18:43

How awful lily! I am so sorry.

Wandathewindfairy · 19/12/2014 18:55

Oh lily that is really shit. I don't know what to say Wine ?

SIL just came over looking really glam and lovely after her Cnristmas do. Left me feeling very old but trying to be pleased she looked so lovely and had a nice afternoon. With gritted teeth.

Wandathewindfairy · 19/12/2014 18:55

Note great at day In the quiche today. Makes me feel sad.

Zamboni · 19/12/2014 19:02

Oh Lily Thanks how awful but glad you and O weren't there.

FX 2015 will be a good one across the quiche.

QuicheMama · 19/12/2014 22:14

Big hugs Lily and Jupiter Thanks

Pikz I had dreadful adhesions following an infection when I was 26. I was told my tubes were completely blocked, and had no chance of getting pregnant naturally, even though they snipped and pushed and gave me an antibiotic washout as I had big abscesses on my pelvic organs. With the healing I developed more adhesions and had a lot of pain with intimacy.

When I got pregnant at 36 they sent me for a scan thinking it would be ectopic. As you know she is a very beautiful 8yo and big sis to two. I had a lot of pain from the adhesions, but they stretched with the pregnancy.

Your op was a controlled sterile beneficial procedure. Don't lose hope Smile

Elizadoesdolittle · 19/12/2014 23:14

Oh god lily how awful. I have been burgled and it's not nice no matter what is taken. hugs x

Yes not a good day for many quichters. Sad Here's to better days ahead.

Rowingdowntheriver · 20/12/2014 07:54

Just popping into say hi. Sorry to hear your news both jupiter and lily.

Apparently they found that I had lots of adhesions when they did the c-section to get I out. Not a surprise really after 2 previous c-sections. I've never suffered with pain from them though and the only impact on me was that it took ages for them to pull I out. They were literally tugging at her for over 5 minutes trying to get get her out because she was so tightly wedged in with the adhesions.

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 20/12/2014 15:01

Hmm. Vaguely wondering if the twinges I get along my c section scar are adhesions. Nothing that bothers me much but have noticed it and wasn't aware they existed really.

Pikz · 20/12/2014 16:00

GG endometriosis and adhesions are very common with sections and only need sorting if they are causing pain/infertility.

I didn't know any of this until we started trying for L

How are you feeling today pikz ?

Are you allowed post op Wine yet?

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 20/12/2014 16:43

I am making masses of onion soup for tomorrow's dinner and also Christmas Eve. If it froze well I'd be making even more for New Year but it doesn't so am not, which is a pita as peeling and slicing dozens of onions is dull and tear jerking.

Passmethecrisps · 20/12/2014 18:03

Busy day here.
Went to a dance production aimed at toddlers - they could join in bits which was great. All forest themed which was lovely.
Then we had to get our new tenants to sign documents before heading into town for lunch and some shopping.
Home for some horrendous mess making crafting and now watching It's a Wonderful Life while finishing p's dinner!

Off to the inlaws tomorrow so need to get cracking with washing

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 20/12/2014 18:09

You going for Xmas pass ?

Passmethecrisps · 20/12/2014 18:18

2 days at in laws, one back here then Christmas at my folks

YellowWellies · 20/12/2014 18:23

It's a wonderful life. Best Christmas film EVER! We have been playing the Snowman for Jonas to get him over his Santa terror from last year. He's addicted. But now thinks Santa is the Snowman's warm up guy. Santa came to his toddler group yesterday and he met Santa today on a steam train trip. Both times his response was "oh hi Santa, where an a snowman?" Grin

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 20/12/2014 18:35

Bu-bu-but Santa terror is a wonderful part of toddlerdom :o

I figured this year would be the last Santa terror. They won't be scared next year. The pic of DD1 with her head in her hands was a bit of a fluke. She was mainly just unbothered. And announced yesterday that she had seen two santas today, with a very Gallic bored shrug.

YellowWellies · 20/12/2014 18:48

I love Santa terror but we were going to be on a train with him for over an hour so needed to make sure he wasn't going to scream the entire trip!

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 20/12/2014 18:57

Good point :o

Zamboni · 20/12/2014 19:44

Not taken DD or S to see Santa yet (ever, not just this year, shite parent that I am) but we talk about it and S calls him Santa-man. In the same vein as mat-man (batman). So chez Zamboni, we are looking forward to Santa-man coming on Xmas eve!!

MsJupiter · 20/12/2014 20:04

Thanks for your good wishes. So sorry to hear Lily's news.

L calls FC "Christmas" and often points him out in books and so on. He says delightedly, "that's CHRISTMAS!" which is very cute. He also loves the music and when an advert came on the other day he said as though he couldn't believe it, "there are Christmas songs on the television!"

We are off to the in laws tomorrow. Will miss my family a great deal but DH is so happy we are going. I am sure it will be a lovely week.

Pikz · 20/12/2014 20:16

No Santa terror here. He is just loving the idea of Christmas and loves Christmas trees the most.

Having a really tough mummy day. I can't pick him up and cuddle him with my stitches and it's all he wants. Am sat on sofa weeping and watching love actually.

Am actually feeling ok in myself, just bruised and battered. No wine yet so have ice cream. Still look 6 months pregnant so glugging the peppermint tea to get it to go down

H has taken to falling asleep with mummy in bed next to him. How do I end this? Help.

Elizadoesdolittle · 20/12/2014 23:51

I don't know gt but it's a hard habit to break so I'd do it before it becomes a big issue. My friend is still lying next to her 4 yr old whilst she goes to sleep and its really starting to impact on her.

Elizadoesdolittle · 20/12/2014 23:52

I think that has to go down as my most unhelpful post!
