Is it bedtime yet?

Pikz · 18/12/2014 19:01

Yes it is wanda Smile

I'm weirdly pleased my gut feeling wasn't wrong. Severe adhesions covering my right tube and whole right side of uterus plus adhesions scattered on left side plus endo on my csection scar. No wonder it's not been working! Now everyone cross everything for the next few months

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 18/12/2014 19:56

StuntNun · 18/12/2014 20:29

Sorry if this is a stupid question Pikz but how do you stop new adhesions forming from this op? Do you have to do special exercises or anything?

Zamboni · 18/12/2014 20:33

Glad you got some answers Pikz - everything crossed for you now xx

that's very cute zamboni e had some reinndeer antler type things but won't keep them on, the spoilsport!

BigPigLittlePig · 18/12/2014 21:12

Stunt my understanding of adhesions was that, the more traumatic the procedure, the more likely to develop adhesions, and of course, some people will be more likely to get them than others. So for instance, someome who had a major open operation for a burst bowel, with infection afterwards, would be almost certain to get them, whereas someone who had keyhole surgery for something v minor is much less likely. Generally, procedures to cut through the adhesions result in less adhesions in the end, else they wouldn't do it. Well, you would hope they wouldn't Grin

Glad it went well anyway, Pikz, and fc to 2015 being Your Year.

Donnadoon · 18/12/2014 21:27

Thank goodness for kyzs always brilliant epic posts and one from izzy
Waves at everyone
Lots of quiche babies on the way :) mine will be one next month Shock
Unlike GTs pair Dd2 (nov12baby) still isn't that keen on her little sister :(
She is also now receiving some speech therapy, we have a Portage lady come to the house once a week to play some games and do some signs with her
I have been on a SALT parent workshop to learn some tips on how to help her learn to talk
She has about 30 single words now
Sometimes it really gets me down that she can't or won't talk but then I remember to count my blessings.

Pikz · 18/12/2014 22:06

Stunt wot piggy said. In essence usually they would put a coil or device back to stop them but then you can't get pregnant so I have a 6 month ish window he reckons before anything can start to grow back very slowly

BigPigLittlePig · 18/12/2014 23:01

Donna but 30 words is such an improvement, she will get there. I can't believe how time is flying though. To think there will be another 1st birthday coming up Cake

MsJupiter · 19/12/2014 02:25

Hello everyone. Sorry I haven't been around. Some of you know this already but just to let you know I had a miscarriage a few weeks ago at 9 weeks pg so no baby #2 for me. Hopefully I will have another successful pregnancy in the future. But right now I'm still processing what's happened. It's been bloody awful.

Pikz I am thinking of you as I often do and hope the op has the result you need and a good start to the new year.

To all quichesters facing hard times, I hope 2015 brings us the things we are hoping for. Wishing you all health, happiness and love. xx

StuntNun · 19/12/2014 12:13

That's very interesting about the adhesions BigPig. I'm pretty sure I have at least one bad one (have had two sections) as I've been getting a consistent pain in the same place internally this pregnancy. Let's hope that's you sorted now Pikz, and the recovery isn't too arduous.

GwenaelleLaGourmande · 19/12/2014 16:50

Oh good. School and nursery have broken up. Xmas Hmm

Passmethecrisps · 19/12/2014 17:58

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas!!!

Passmethecrisps · 19/12/2014 17:59

Massive love and hugs jupiter xx

Lily311 · 19/12/2014 18:19

Hugs jupiter, am really sorry.

My flat was broken into today. Huge mess, nothing really missing apart from cash (not much). So today I dealt with police, insurance, locksmith and the guy who fixes shutters. I'm okay, I was not there. The damage is worth about £150 and I need a completely new, much safer lock. Thankfully my insurance will pay for it. This is just a shit end to a shit year.

Oh well, 2012 was awful, 2013 was crap and 2014 was just truly shit. What will 2015 be I wonder?
