Stunt my understanding of adhesions was that, the more traumatic the procedure, the more likely to develop adhesions, and of course, some people will be more likely to get them than others. So for instance, someome who had a major open operation for a burst bowel, with infection afterwards, would be almost certain to get them, whereas someone who had keyhole surgery for something v minor is much less likely. Generally, procedures to cut through the adhesions result in less adhesions in the end, else they wouldn't do it. Well, you would hope they wouldn't
