OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Frizbe · 30/11/2006 08:03

Uni, hurrah for work and at dh on the recorder. Sure ds will be fine whilst you work, but its always a scarey thing leaving them with someone else, he'll be ok, but will you? and {{{Hugs}}}

Astro, its about 45mins from here, so reckon an hour from yours, its straight off the Mway junction, you really can't go wrong, if you like you could meet me in Ripley and follow me up?? as have ss with me too now (school inset day), so am thinking of keeping dd1 off nursery and just taking the lot for a day out!

LL, congrats to both of your friends, although very scarey start for one of them glad all is ok now.

laundrylover · 30/11/2006 11:18

Uni, it sounds like the work is really coming in now eh? Your childcare arrangements sound good - I am waiting for a day at nursery for Kiah but they are booked up. How much ebm do you reckon the boy has during a day away from you? Kiah has about 4 oz but it is so hard for me to squeeze any out I may have to drop it all together. She is not really desperate for boob when we are reunited!

Friz/Astro, it will be lovely to have all the toddlers along as well as ss to run after them. Do try to make it Astro - meeting up with Friz sounds like a good idea eh? BTW the cafe isn't fab at YSP iirc so bring some snacks for the kids to keep 'em going....

Is there a mathematical equation as to how many times you can pick a bread crust off the floor in relation to how long ago you last mopped said floor???

UniSarah · 30/11/2006 19:16

LL - I experimented today- no breast feed between breakfast and supper, hes had 3 or 4 oz juice, 2 of water and 3 of formula and maybe 1 of ebm. buthes also had 4 of ebm in sweet rice and 2 in weetabix. i fromage frais & some yougart.
Not as many wet nappies as normal, and a bit of a grump before his tea, lots of signing milk at me too! I don;t think its enough liquid to do it every day, but am going to do it every few days till after the work week, so its not such a shock to him when it happens. Hopefuly he will drink more from his cup as he gets the idea. The big problem with the work week is i will not be there for 3 bedtimes, so those nights if he wakes in the night I will give him a feed. I'll take teh pump with me and express a bit before the show ( about 6.30,) and then again when I get home in teh late evening. expresing with out boy doesn't work too well for me, even with him inteh room is not as good as while hes feeding on other boob which is fantasticly fast.

Frizbe · 30/11/2006 21:52

Go on Astro
LL have a great night on Saturday, I just spotted that on another thread!!

laundrylover · 01/12/2006 15:06

Thanks for that Uni - Kiah does take ebm from a bottle so she has a good 4/5oz divided into two feeds. She also has water from a cup and cow's milk on porridge etc. Trouble is that BLW doesn't lend itself to runny food but we can feed her yoghurt etc off a spoon. I think when my Mum has her she tends to shovel food in anyway - old habits die hard! I reckon the boy will cope fine with his strange routine tho.

Friz - are you spying on me??? I went onto the Feb thread to see who else was coming on Mon and it's soooo busy!! I found out loads about Flames's washing machine and MN gossip but not who's coming on Mon!

Yes I am off to Mottram Hall for a girly night away and am very, very excited!!! Tilly going to my sisters for 2 nights and DP playing poker this eve so just me and Kiah. I'll check on Sun evening to make sure that the meet upis still on and confirm times etc.....

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 02/12/2006 11:06

nah, just spotted your post on a rare moment when I managed to scan the boards!
Will CAT you re monday. Have a great weekend!

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 03/12/2006 19:18

LL have CAT'd you have you got it??

Hi Uni and anyone else out there, too busy to post much at the mo, sorry, lots of small people to get bedded!

laundrylover · 03/12/2006 19:48

Friz, my email has changed so the CAT won't work!!! If you can see the address try the same one but at yahoo dot com instead - make sense??? Or post me here - am around for the evening but off for a bath in a while....

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 03/12/2006 20:48

ARGH!!! good job I posted here as well then!
Have to cry off tomorrow, as ss's mother is not wanting him back until Tuesday (damn inset day) and he's being rather stroppy about the thought of being dragged upto the park to go round with a bunch of babies mind you having looked at the weather forecast this might not be a bad thing.....
How's about a re match in Jan?? you can cat me btw my mail is the same!

laundrylover · 03/12/2006 21:01

That's fine about tomorrow as am full of a cold. Does Astro know it's off? Jan rematch sounds fab...
had a great break away but snot onslaught was badly timed eh? Off to watch Planet Earth but catch up soon.

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 03/12/2006 21:24

I'm hoping she's reading this, will drop her a mail too to be sure!
Soz to hear you have snot.....

UniSarah · 04/12/2006 13:12

Was just thinking of you guys at teh park, then saw your not going. I've walked a long way today, maybe 3 or 4 miles, just coz the busses don't go round town, just to the middle and out and i wanted to get from one out isde bit to another with out doing multiple buses with pushchair. will feel fit tonight after a running session as well.
Right, what to do now with boy for teh next 4.5 hours till his fathers home.... hes pottering around in his walker at teh mo. I need to cook up some stock and also some baby food, so i think hes going to get to play on kitchen floor for a while.

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 04/12/2006 15:11

Hi Uni, no we didn't go, due to assorted combinations, but LL's got snot, Astro has been throwing up for last two days {{{{{Hugs}}}} Astro (I got cheeky and mail'd her!) hope your feeling better mate. And I have ss, whose mother doesn't want him back until tomorrow night, and as he's got an inset day today, we've got him until he's back at school tomorrow am....he is incidently bored! cause I've dragged him around after me all day, doing banking, hv clinic ( dd2 is now 21lbs n a bit!) shops etc! he's now watching simposons on dvd...
Anyway better crack on, got tea to start conjouring up, thinking chicken stew, as have been begged for dumplings!

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 04/12/2006 22:04

oh no soddingworms

laundrylover · 04/12/2006 22:19

Just wanted to get one of the festive emoticons onto our thread !

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 04/12/2006 22:43

...

Astrophe · 04/12/2006 22:57

bother about non meet up, but as it was a no-go all round 'twas for the best eh?

Thanks for the email Friz!

Feeling a lot better today after pukey few deays, but still not 100%. Thankfull, our lad is finally, sleeping better - even had a few 'right throughs'!!! This has happened before, and he has subsequently regressed, but the overall trend is better anyway. Phew. Felt like the 4 wakings a night would never stop.

How is everybody else going sleep wise?

Off to bed...g'night all.

UniSarah · 05/12/2006 09:20

unlucky friz- BOYS eh.
Boy is currently creeping around on teh floor making a lot of noise with a V-tech toy. I've had some good news about my work schedule for next week, the production manager has assigned me a role that should mean I get home for boys bed time! on two of teh days and I won;t start till after bedtime on teh 3rd day.
Better go, hes trying to pull a stool over on top of himself.

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 05/12/2006 16:20

Cheers guys! I've bleached and miltoned everything in sight! changed all the towels n the bath mat! have changed dd1's bedding as she had ss's fav blanket last night (?!) ss's room is cordoned off at the mo, as haven't got his bedding done yet, so she's not allowed in there at all until I've fumigated the place fingers x'd none of the rest of us will get them.....spoke to nurse about it this am, when getting dd2 jabbed with the new jab thing, she said to play it by ear (or poo as the case may be!) after cleaning thoroughly so that's what I've done!!

Uni, hurrah for nice production manager

UniSarah · 05/12/2006 17:10

oh blkimey , I'd better get baby proofing. Just had to to a swift cable re-route with teh phone and wrap a rubber band round teh door handle as boy is in his walker pulling the door away from the wall an inch and then pushing it into the wall. joy. can't quite find it in myself to stop his game tho. I re-routed teh speaker cable last night, it was just tooo irresistable to him on the floor.

WeFrizyouamerrychristmas · 05/12/2006 22:13

they're great at finding their own amusement eh uni, I've had to move our phone upstairs, as dd2 kept unplugging it from the wall by pulling very hard on any available wire, sigh...which was all of about 5 inches to the pin in the wall....
I think todays favourite game was talking mummy for a walk into the middle of the circle of babies at twistin tots........the bigger kids get to stand in the middle of the circle and sing and dance, babies around the outside, so aside from wandering off a lot to chat to other parents dd2 decided to come back to me stand up and grab my fingers and scream at me until I walked with her where she wanted to go which was obviously to stand and wobble with the big kids, sigh, shes wanting to grow up too fast this one

laundrylover · 05/12/2006 22:26

Uni, that sounds like a much better working deal eh? Reckon you'd have missed your bedtimes.

Friz, I can't believe your DD wanting to stand up etc!! Our big news is that Kiah can actually move around now - not sure how but today she moved about 5 feet (in distance, she has only got two of her own)on her bum!!! Hurray - although it does mean we will have to childproof before we move house.

Is there anyone else out there or should the three of us just do a conference call every couple of nights????

laundrylover · 06/12/2006 12:29

Astro, in my insomniac state last night I remembered that I hadn't acknowledged your post at all and I felt terrible!! What I meant to say was:

Glad that you are feeling better and hope we can arrange a meet up for January.

Good news that DS is sleeping better at last and I think it's rubbed off on Kiah too as last two nights we've only had 2 feeds.....

Anyway, how are you feeling generally? I am tentatively feeling like the pnd has passed but not counting any chickens. Do let us know how you are getting on.

Stick around and join in the thread - we're getting lonely

UniSarah · 06/12/2006 19:41

glad things are looking a little roseyer LL. long may it last.
Did another day of no Breast feed between breakfast and supper today, not feeling to badly engorged thois time which isgood. Boy has had very little to drink during teh day tho, maybe 80 or 100ml combined of water or ebm. ho hum, I keep offering , eventully he will get the idea. I'm not dropping teh day time feeds every day till hes a bit happier with his cup tho. I'll miss them tooo , its a lovely chance for a cuddle with an active little chap.
right oh, hes out teh bath, gotta go.
