Wanda and Eliza Shock

Am laughing at my little boy in his George pig boxers! He keeps asking for no nappy but he definitely hasn't completely got it. Am I messing it am up by just doing 3/4 hour stints as he's definitely not ready but asks for no nappy and he likes pants when he's sitting on the floor playing. No idea if I am fucking it all up? Help Confused

Pikz · 23/10/2014 17:01

Ooh car seats we have a pearl and a axis. The pearl is great but the axis he is on the top strap and head rest setting already?

And beds. We have the cot turned into a toddler bed if that makes sense. If I am lucky enough at any point to get pregnant he will get a single.

YellowWellies · 23/10/2014 18:07

Jonas is two! How did that happen?! Smile

A lovely day at the transport museum in Glasgow - Jonas was in heaven climbing on trains, trams and generally running amok. Birthday hits were the IKEA kitchen, happy land stuff, Usborne Apple Tree Farm books, a £1.99 polystyrene aeroplane kit, flashing light up ball, and a trunki.

And a month in, its starting to feel like we've always had two kids Smile .

Zamboni · 23/10/2014 18:31

Happy Birthday YW's J and Rowing's L!!

Fatima, S is in a double bed. With DH. Grin

Thinking of you Lily.

On train on way home. I have a v nice burrito to eat. Have not yet cracked it open due to not wanting to be that passenger who stinks the place out. But I am HUNGRY! Dilemma...

YW, that's a lush feeling Smile

Zamboni · 23/10/2014 18:33

Oh and Pikz, sounds totally fine to me. If that's what he likes then get used to it slowly but surely. Especially if pants become equated with doing something fun.

Pikz · 23/10/2014 18:40

Eat your burrito Zamboni Grin

Jims · 23/10/2014 18:46

F still in his cot and will be until he can climb out. I get the feeling he'd be a bit of a monkey and just get out of bed if we put him in a bigger one so I'm putting off that moment for as long as possible!

lily thinking of you here too.

kyz have you tried tv cold turkey? Good luck with whatever plan you decide! My 4.5 year old still knows how to throw a strop (not all the time thank goodness) if I turn the tv off.

Quiet day working from home here. Which was good as I'd actually Gone Out (til 11pm!) last night with a friend to see gone girl at the cinema. V rare occasion so we've pledged to do it more often.

PetiteRaleuse · 23/10/2014 18:53

pikz you are not fucking it up. Don't worry :)

happy birthday to the quiche babies. Those apple tree farm books are LO's favourites. She likes finding the duck.

We are driving back tomorrow. A day early but the weather will be shit, the traffic will be awful on Saturday and tbh I have hardly slept all week. Both girls have been insisting on co-sleeping and it has been hard for me.

We have had a lovely time here though, and will definitely come back to this area. We have all enjoyed long beach walks, shell hunting and looking at crabs.

The food has been amazing. One of the local specialities is Welsh Rarebit can you believe it and the chips are to die for here. I feel quite at home, and honestly think I might retire here one day.

Lily311 · 23/10/2014 19:20

We are leaving in an hour, 11hour drive ahead of us.

Just popped in to say, O is in big bed, it's 90x200 and she does not get out of it. It works very well for us, she made the switch In august.

Pikz · 23/10/2014 19:42

Good luck lily. Lots of love xxx

Kyz · 23/10/2014 21:24

Evening all!

Good luck lily will be thinking of you xxx

Happy birthday to yws j and rowings l! And any others I may have missed!

TV wise - noooo jims this is a battle for mummy and daddy to share so operation cold turkey is commencing at the weekend ;) I never ever used to have the tv on at mealtimes ever, in fact he rarely watched it, but it's become a recent obsession and needs fixing, definitely. Hopefully it won't be half as tough as I'm imagining it to be!

Aw wanda your ds1 sounds like a right little gentleman already!

Hi fatima! Nope no organising here yet! I really should get on with it though, most definitely! I may get duplo or something for him, and a few books. E is still in his cot tbh. He doesn't try to get out yet even though he's so big he easily could. I was going to turn his cot into a toddler bed as it does that but I may just save the cot for dc2 and buy e a single.

Eek isles now is not the time for a broken boiler! Hope it is fixed soon!

Doesn't sound like you're fucking it up to me pikz!

Glad you've had a nice time pr sounds like a lovely place to go :)

Wandathewindfairy · 23/10/2014 21:46

Lol kyz he is. He was standing in the way of a woman this morning when I dropped him at school and I asked him to move out of the way. He did, and the he said to me " she didn't say excuse me" Smile

pikzpotty training is like a Forrest with lots of twists and turns, and poo to step in, you need to find your own way in your own time. You are doing fab.

Sounds ace pr and you sound v chil?ed. Xx

Passmethecrisps · 23/10/2014 21:48

Brew

Helloooooo?

Elizadoesdolittle · 24/10/2014 11:44

Brew back at cha bp

Passmethecrisps · 24/10/2014 13:26

Hia!

Gosh it's quiet. Everyone is obviously busy having lots of fun.

I have been thinking of lily. Hope all went as well as could be expected.

It is fil's birthday this weekend and DH and I are off to edinburgh for a swish meal and stay in a posho hotel while p is looked after at home by my parents. They have never looked after her before so I am hoping that all goes well.

She certainly enjoys their company but I just hope she copes ok with the fact that we won't be home at bedtime. I do need to sort the house out to the level where I will be happy with my parents staying and sleeping in our bed! Weird.

Anyway, should get off my arse and get on with things. I am making a cottage pie for their dinner tomorrow so should get on it

Wandathewindfairy · 24/10/2014 13:38

passsiund great Envy

We went to toddlers this morning and I was sick and nearly pooed my pants Blush

Yes me.

Not O.

I did stop off at my fave cafe and have a cappuccino and a scone. Last time I had that combo I had stomach cramps too. I don't think there was anything wrong with it I just wonder if it is too rich for my aging constitution. I don't normally have a cappuccino, or a scone, which also had lots if fruit in. It is unusual for me.

Luckily everyone was v nice to me. And my friend (my one friend, the same one I refer to) walked all the way back to school with me when I went for DS1 Incase something really embarrassing happened! I felt v grateful, and pleased in my friend!

BigPigLittlePig · 24/10/2014 16:32

Oh dear wanda. Hope you're feeling ok now?

Also hoping lily is ok xx

PetiteRaleuse · 24/10/2014 16:49

Ooh wanda I have been there, as you know. We are home and LO has finally had her birthday presents. The main one was the bike of course but she got some bits and pieces from family in the UK to unwrap.

First thing she did when out of the car was run to get her bike helmet and bike round and round ad infinitum.

Her present from us to unwrap was an umbrella.

Wandathewindfairy · 24/10/2014 18:10

I too have beethnking of lily

Thanks bp I feel fine now, hungry. I have just wolfed a bag of crisps and ha e a glass of wine. Maybe not wise. All I had for the rest of the day was peppermint tea and a carrot. But I feel fine. I defo think it was all a bit to much and that is all.

I thought of you pr! Crazy I know, but I was thinking of you.

Confused umbrella

PetiteRaleuse · 24/10/2014 18:18

Lovely. She shits herself and thinks of me. Hmm

Grin

and she's not the only one to have told me that!

She wanted dd1's brolly. So I got her one. And a new one for dd1. As LO had broken hers.

I keep loosing you all.

Hello

Kyz · 24/10/2014 20:12

Evening all! Am shattered today as E decided to pull a 3 hour stunt of awakeness during the night. I suspect it's his last canine that has yet to poke through. We went to soft play this morning and then had some fun out in the rain this afternoon. He loves putting his vellies on and using his brella, bless him. He also announces that it's code outside (cold) which makes me chuckle.

bless you Wanda glad you are feeling better now, doesn't sound nice at all :(

ooh pass hope you have a good time, and hope P is ok with your parents :) bet she'll love it :) hopefully bedtime will be a smooth affair

lol pr e loves his brolly too :) it's very sweet :)

hiiii gt! How have you been?
