Eliza am so glad the appointment was useful and you were taken seriously - awesome. xxx

Zamboni · 22/10/2014 06:55

Eliza hope this is the first step

Zamboni · 22/10/2014 06:59

Bloody app.

Eliza hope this is the first step towards sorting E's food issues.

Stunt - what everyone else said and massive hugs.

Kyz glad you are feeling better.

DH just dropped me at the station for another couple of days away. I'm wrestling bags, suitcase, umbrella, trying to find tickets, the usual. S insists on 2 cuggles and 2 kisses from me. I'm in a hurry but it made me all melty, especially as he is such a Daddy's boy at the moment.

Then after all the rushing the bloody train is delayed so I could have had three kisses and cuggles. Smile

Wandathewindfairy · 22/10/2014 09:53

eliza that is great news, hopefully you will learn so much from the process to help E in the future.

zamboni have a great time. I have a Daddy's boy here too. Funny, it does not bother me, it lifts my heart.

Feel shite today. Not sure iif is first day of period or I have a head cold because am run down because of my period. Whichever, my head and my eyes are so heavy they might fall off.

I will put my P&T ranting/journaling on fb for your amusement!

Already Wednesday? The week is going too fast.

Zamboni · 22/10/2014 19:45

Oh it's to be expected Wanda - they spend more time with him than me, and it's lovely. I'm just grateful for the crumbs!!

Shitty week at work has been vastly improved by checking into a hotel and getting upgraded to a suite. Going to have supper then a nice long hot bath with no interruptions!

PetiteRaleuse · 22/10/2014 20:06

Enjoy zamboni

My two are daddy's girls. I love that. Love it. This week he is doing 80% of the work because of it.

Would you like me to wipe your shitty bum dd1/2?

No. Daddy please.

Okayyyy.

Kyz · 22/10/2014 20:30

Hi everybuddy!

Sounds like the quiche has been busy whilst i've been AWOL!

So pleased about your appt eliza

stunt you're amazeballs, you really are. I hope you manage to get through to your DH, it must be a difficult situation to be in

Goshes i've missed so much more I don't know where to begin!

Had my booking in appt and i've been moved to 31/05 but I think it'll go back when I have the scan. Am just waiting for that through the post. Booked a private 3D scan which is called a gender confirmation scan on Dps birthday, only I don't know if I want to find out yet. Ah well, ages to decide I suppose!

E is good, he's been fab the past few days especially which is great :) The only issue i'm having with him is his refusal to eat unless the tv is on. It's my own fault for allowing the tv on at mealtimes anyway was too nauseous to argue but I need to fix it. I'm thinking of just flat out refusing to put it on and he should just eventually stop refusing to eat?

Hope everyone has had a good day today, I had my hair cut so I feel all refreshed which is nice because aside from my hair I look like shite!!!

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/10/2014 21:01

DD1 is a complete daddy's girl. E takes being a mummy's girl to a whole other level but is starting to at least acknowledge DH's presence so we are getting somewhere Smile.

kyz Hope you're feeling better now. Re the TV and food eating situation, I have no real advice I'm afraid as we don't have a TV in our dining room so it's not an issue. But when the extension is finally done we will have an open planned kitchen/dinner/living room so I'll have to be aware of it! We did have that set up in the old house but I was quite conscious of turning the TV off during meal times. For the opposite reason to you though, I found DD1 would take hours to eat whilst the TV was on. She was very distracted! Um it's a tricky one. I don't blame you for resorting to TV, you have to do what makes your life easy for you at the moment. Can you eat in a room where there isn't a TV until it becomes the norm for E to not need TV to eat? Or hide it under a blanket Grin Sorry I'm not being helpful at all so I'll shut up now.

BigPigLittlePig · 22/10/2014 22:42

Cold turkey, kyz. He'll get there. Perhaps invest in some earplugs Wink Hope you're feeling better now?

Eliza I am glad you got a sensible ear to hear your concerns, and have a plan in place for tests.

PR your holiday looks and sounds lovely, enjoy the rest of it.

Parents evening at nursery today, always nice to hear how the little ones are getting on. On serious pox watch atm, Fs bestie has it (the little girl of last weeks kiss and cuddle fame), along with 4 others in her group. Fc she had it months ago when she had 2 spots

Kyz · 22/10/2014 23:00

Thanks both :) bp ive not got the flu like thing now, no :) so am feeling much better after that

eliza e does what your dd did, he gawps at the tv and eats really slowly if you leave him to it, and I can either feed him or I have to pause it and he'll eat one mouthful very quickly as he knows that's what I want him to do then demand the tv again and he is very very stubborn. he literally won't eat if it isn't on. When I felt rubbish I couldn't care less to be honest I was just grateful he ate without arguing, I basically fed him quickly and got it over with. Now I am feeling better it is driving me barmy and I do need to fix it. We have to eat in the lounge as my house is small but I wanted a dining room table so I have one in the lounge. It's important to me we all sit at a table for mealtimes but obviously the tv is there. I may try whacking a sheet over it (covering it is a good idea) and going cold turkey. I will definitely need the earplugs bp as he will kick up a fuss! He's not daft though and I don't think it'll take long for him to learn it's just I need to have the resolve to tackle it iyswim :)

Thanks for the advice

Passmethecrisps · 22/10/2014 23:11

Evening!

kyz p actually fell of her seat and smacked her head really hard tonight because she was stretching to see the TV which I had stupidly left on. she cried for ages to the point I was getting really worried when eventually she tearfully gasped "more ben and holly, pease?". So I sympathise and that is without her normally getting to watch telly with meals!

P is a total mummy's girl to the point where it can be quite tough for DH. She blethers on about him all the time during the day but the relationship is just different. She is emotionally very like me - no unsolicited touching or attention wanted. He is touchy feely and his "can I gave a cuddle please?" Is met with a singsong "nooooooOOOOH!"

P seems to have dropped her nap - two days in a row only but that is the same way she dropped milk. I asked today if she wanted a sleep and she said "no thank yoo, mummy. Not want nap"

MsJupiter · 22/10/2014 23:24

Kyz I'm glad you're feeling better, it is so hard when you are feeling crap to fight any battles. L & I have tag-teamed sickness for the last 2-3 weeks and I have let him get away with so much. Need to rein it in now especially as his behaviour is definitely veering towards the "challenging" these days...

YellowWellies · 22/10/2014 23:45

Kyz I did exactly the same with Jonas' evening meal when pregnant. We need to go cold turkey too. Blush

MsJupiter · 22/10/2014 23:50

I've just panic-bought TWO 'I am 2' t shirts from EBay. Please someone confiscate my phone before I do anything else stupid.

Lily311 · 23/10/2014 05:26

We have story CDs at meal times. They work. No telly at all.

Happy birthday to yw's ds! It's today, right?

We went to see my parents yesterday who went to see my brother in London last week. My dad who never ever buys anything bought O books and Cadbury fingers for me, I am so touched I can't even tell you. Small things but it's just such a lovely gesture. O is very attached to me right now (always has been), she shouts from her bedroom 'just one more kiss mummy' and that 'I been a good a girl'.

So after all she does not have the pox, it's still a virus though. Our plan to go to Poland tonight will go ahead. I bought a tiny bunch of roses for her to put it on his grave, I'm sure my tears will start pouring as soon as we arrive there. Tough days ahead.

Wandathewindfairy · 23/10/2014 06:55

Lovely to see you back kyz. I never have the tv on at mealtimes as I want us to interact as a family ( not that we eat together everyday, despite my best efforts that has slipped back to become a weekend and breakfast activity, but I do sit down with the boys when they eat and we chat) so much so that if I do forget DS1 asks me to turn it off. Confused

lily what a relief, I hope all goes well for you. ((Hugs))

DS1 is pretty even to balance out Os daddy's boy tendencies. He runs up to me and just gives me an impromptu kiss or says "mummy I like your dress/hair/jumper" Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 23/10/2014 07:56

Hugs lily I will be thinking of you and O xx

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/10/2014 08:46

lily I will be thinking of you x Thanks

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/10/2014 14:17

I though gosh eliza nothing like getting straight to the point! Wink

Elizadoesdolittle · 23/10/2014 16:29

Haha wanda Shock

FatimaLovesBread · 23/10/2014 16:38

Afternoon Fred!!
I've been waiting ages for the old feed to finish, thinking I'd be able to keep up more with the new one. But then I blinked and a new thread has started and you're on 170+ posts already!! Shock

How is everyone? I'm trying my best to get organised for M's birthday and Christmas but still no idea what to get or to suggest to others.

Struggling with bedtime with M at the moment, she refuses to go to bed in her cot so usually ends up falling asleep on sofa or our bed. I know we need to get a bit stricter to sort it but some nights I'm so worn out it's just easier letting her fall asleep on my knew. It does mean we get hardly any quiet time without her in the evening though.
I'm contemplating buying her a proper bed although I had hoped the cot would last another six months or so

Is everyone else in beds or cots or toddler beds?

isles7 · 23/10/2014 16:58

I am also struggling with full on tantrums about everything. And constant demands for peppa. Envy

Hi Fatima - was it you who posted the carseat query on fb? I have a maxi cosi tobi and a britax first class. The first class was meant to be the spare but it doesn't fit in my sister's car so the tobi is now the spare one. Both were around £100 in sales/using promo codes etc.

My boiler broke yesterday. Took an afternoon off work and gas man has spent 5 hours playing with it. It's still not working and I am freezing!
