Happy Monday quiche.

S doesn't really get Xmas I think, although he loves the lights and trees. DD at nearly 4 has a much clearer appreciation of the whole deal Smile

Super busy week last week with 3 nights away with work followed by my sister's wedding on Saturday. I barely saw S as DD and I were bridesmaids but DH did a sterling job of keeping S happy and entertained all day so definite husband points there. We had a great day and DD and S looked impossibly cute in their outfits.

Stunt that sounds tough and I don't know how you deal with that without back tracking or overruling DH. S will sometimes be persuaded to say sorry but we try not to make too big of a deal and like BP, try and recognise flash points where bad behaviour almost needs to be ignored. But today is a new day and they get over th

...posted too soon. They get over upsets like that far better than we do Thanks

I've made that mistake before Zamboni, you always have to be ready to follow through or you end up with no authority.

Tough day pikz?

Elizadoesdolittle · 08/12/2014 19:16

I've put the tree up but can't find the lights! my reason for having 2 trees was because we have enough lights and decorations for them. Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 08/12/2014 19:18

My tree is dying already. Am going to invest in a good quality fake in the sales. Then hope I don't lose it when we move (expecting to move next year. We don't normally stay in one place three years.

Passmethecrisps · 08/12/2014 20:30

Shot of vodka (for the tree) every couple of days apparently works pr. That's what the lady in waitrose told DH anyway

Wandathewindfairy · 08/12/2014 21:10

Hugs pikz and more Wine and maybe one of pass s vodkas.

I caught M taking a pair of scissors to our tree this evening. She also keeps rearranging the baubles that I put on properly when she was in bed last night. i don't see it lasting a week here.

Lily311 · 09/12/2014 04:42

We have a fake one, I love that there is no hassle with it. O is also rearranging the baubles, and everything is mine. My bauble, my star, my bell, etc.

Elizadoesdolittle · 09/12/2014 08:12

I have a fake one and a real one. The real one is bigger and in the front window whereas the real one is smaller and is in the back room (which we use as a living room). The kids can do the real tree and then I can tastefully do the fake one. That's the plan anyway. Need to go out and buy some bloody lights first!

Got midwife coming today anytime between 10-2. I hope she comes early.

Elizadoesdolittle · 09/12/2014 08:14

Fake one is in back room I mean. Real one is 5ft and fake is 4ft. Am really pleased with the real one. It's a lovely shape. I love real trees.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2014 16:47

How did mw go eliza ?

Elizadoesdolittle · 09/12/2014 17:36

She didn't bloody turn up. What a waste of a day. My regular one is on holiday so I'll just try and make an appointment with her next week. They want to see my house to prepare for homebirth but makes no odds to me if they see it. I will be giving birth here regardless. Unless baby is breech of course which is the one thing I want them to checkout.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2014 17:51

FFS how frustrating.

BigPigLittlePig · 09/12/2014 18:33

Oh that's frustrating Eliza. Hope your usual mw is more useful next week.

Replacement car purchased, ready to collect next week. Just need to get the bastard cuntball insurance co. to pull their finger out. I have been signed off work for 2 weeks, but will pop in tomorrow morning for a teaching session. My chest is so freaking sore Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2014 18:40

Sore due to your injuries piggy ?

BigPigLittlePig · 09/12/2014 19:45

Yeh, feels like my chest is going to crack open Envy

Anyhoo.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2014 20:00

Have you seen a doctor recently? I mean, I know you are one, but they do say over here that the cobblers are the least best shod. You will get checked out won't you?

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2014 20:02

and are you taking painkillers? Is it a cracked rib or something?

Kyz · 09/12/2014 20:02

Evening all - got a weekends worth to catch up on! Hope all is well though :) Can't think of what I want to put, can't believe it's 9th Dec! Due to dp's promotion type thing, we've gone from weekly pay to monthly and December is the worst time to be doing that it seems, so we may be writing a fair few IOU's for xmas this year!

E is in this awful phase where he just really really wants to wind me up, he goes from thing to thing touching and pressing and poking and the more I ask him not to the more he does it! I am constantly moving him from one thing to another atm! Hope it's a short lived phase, it's quite tiring

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2014 20:04

kyz it is quite hard to do but if it is safe for him I would ignore it. They love getting reactions at this age.

BigPigLittlePig · 09/12/2014 20:51

Yes to painkillers pr Smile but am limited as for the first time ever, ibuprofen made me cough and wheeze, and i find codeine too sedating. And i saw the gp yesterday so am following drs orders Grin

Evening kyz. F keeps trying to draw on furniture, the walls etc. You are not alone in your frustration.

PetiteRaleuse · 09/12/2014 21:34

I had a great paracetamol with something mix (non nsaid) for my back. It did dope me up a tad though. Wasn't codeine. Could have been morphine come to think of it :o

Paracetamol is great though as long as you keep on top of it
