Poor wee soul. No party today then?

Passmethecrisps · 06/12/2014 10:02

Oh dear! P has done similar. Hmm face followed by "not singing mummy. No like it"

PetiteRaleuse · 06/12/2014 10:13

We'll go to the party but just stay an hour. Have just started her abs and she will have a nap thisafternoon beforehand.

PetiteRaleuse · 06/12/2014 10:15

DD1 has always loved seeing me sing and dance. Even dances along to my singing.

LO visibly cringes and tells me to close Mummy mouth. She is a teen before her time :o

GTbaby · 06/12/2014 12:25

Yes BP they are in India until Xmas.
A has woken up in a better mood today. Back to his cheerful self albeit snotty. H is now full blown cold hasn't eaten anything so extra milk for him. But he is fine when he wants to go out! Then he runs about shouting "jacket jacket socks socks shoooooes". He has gone now with fh to airport. My folks are off to India.
Right here's hoping A goes down for his nap easily. Fx.

Parenting fail. J is in his bed screaming for me.

Wine stunt

Passmethecrisps · 06/12/2014 21:04

Not a parenting fail stunt my lovely. Just sadly sometimes parenting fact.

Passmethecrisps · 06/12/2014 21:16

Or neighbour brought her 11 day old baby boy this evening. My word! You forget just how tiny and floppy and tiny and utterly adorable they are! P coped very well and agreed that he was lovely. They have had such a difficult time conceiving that he is such a wee miracle.

I don't have much other chat really. We were at my parents' last weekend for a birthday celebration which was lovely. We had a room in a B&B so p had her first ever night in a big girl bed and did really well. She took an age to get to sleep but it was all very relaxing. We lay on our bed reading while she lay in hers watching in the night garden. She never attempted to get out but fell out three times. First time was a proper bump and cry but she was asleep immediately again on being put back in. Second time she rolled on to the pillows I had propped up and made confused mewings. The third time she said "oops mummy. I fall down!"

The actual weekend was wonderful and made me feel very blessed indeed.

Since then lots of working and a brief hospital visit for a dafty p.

I have mentioned that before through.

Ehm.

How is everyone else? Lovely to see you gt and I am pleased that the wee one is on the mend. Did he nap ok?

P now talks about Santa but has no concept of who this might be other than someone other people expect her to care about. What about the other LOs?

BigPigLittlePig · 06/12/2014 22:01

F talks about "mit-mass" (Christmas) and recognises various seasonal things, but really, no concept. And if she were to come face to face with Mr Christmas himself, well...Confused

PetiteRaleuse · 06/12/2014 23:52

Went to party. Girls aced it. Now in bed.

Grown up time was good.

Night all.

Did I mention I got grown up time and got pissed?

They got their 12yo kid to babysit.

Erm. Will be hungover tomorrow.

Whoop.

isles7 · 06/12/2014 23:55

M is super excited about the idea of santa. She points at anybody wearing red and shouts santa and whenever the doorbell goes, it's obviously santa! Until my sister took her to see santa today, then she cried. No teary photo though, I'm disappointed.

We're having a big christmassy day tomorrow. Decorations and gingerbread house making. Give me strength!

I'm also never buying a house from a dead person again. This week has been the most stressful week ever and it's looking very like M and I will be homeless by new year. Yay.

Hope everyone is well x

Wandathewindfairy · 06/12/2014 23:55

Yay pr enoy your pissed night. Xx

GTbaby · 07/12/2014 01:42

Pass he napped well. Woke in time for H to go for his nap. Hate it when they nap out of sync.

Stunt hope he fell asleep ok. H has been like that tonight/last night as we've had dinner guests both nights.

Pr glad you had a good night. Hope the hang over is not to bad.

H has no idea about Xmas. We don't have our decorations up. My uncle (in law) passed away this week. Usually there is a year of mourning but not sure if we will do that. I deff can't send new year cards to my family in India. A little confusing.
Do other cultures have this set mourning period?

GTbaby · 07/12/2014 01:43

At what point do we make a new thread now a days?

GTbaby · 07/12/2014 01:50

Forgot to share my news with you.

SOOOO my fitbit tells me I'm disturbed about 8 times in my sleep. On analysing the timings I can conclude the disturbances coincide with the time A enters my bed. Who'd have guested?

this would have been handy in new born days. When I was too tiered too look at my clock. so when FH asked what times i had woken I genuinely couldn't answer, I could've just sent him my tracking data.

I am going to wear it a few more nights and see how I sleep when A isn't in bed.

On that note....

Please please please hope this is my last post tonight.

YellowWellies · 07/12/2014 04:10

Jonas knows about Santa, reindeers, Christmas trees and presents. His advent calendar contains dairy free chocs, calcium supplements and multivitamins Grin Grin Grin . He's an ace bauble shotputter. Today we're either off to St Andrews Christmas fayre or Edinburgh Christmas market - what's the betting he weeps on meeting Santa? If its snowing we'll stay local and get the tree instead. Would it last til Christmas if we got a non drop one?

BigPigLittlePig · 07/12/2014 07:42

Morning all.

So F got some new boots yesterday. I think it is safe to say she likes them, as she pitched up by my bed at 6.30, boots in hand, "on mummy, on" Grin

Isles have you made any progress with the solicitor yet? Bug hugs. Enjoy today.

YW love the advent calender fillings! F had fake after 8s in hers Blush

PR Brew Brew Brew Glad you enjoyed. Hope lo is feeling better today.

PetiteRaleuse · 07/12/2014 08:46

Morning. Yes thanks she is already much better amoxycillin rocks. She had a great evening too, and then slept through til 8.30 :)

I hardly slept - but am ok. Will nap later maybe.

StuntNun · 07/12/2014 09:03

We usually have a new thread at around 950 messages GT. The threads seem to move much more slowly these days but I notice we're still near the top of the list in Talk.

It was definitely a parenting fail last night. I was in the middle of putting J to bed and after brushing his teeth I left him in the bathroom with DS1 and DS2 who were in the bath together while I went to get a bedtime story or three for him. When I came back he was elbow deep in the water so I had to take his pyjama shirt off then he wouldn't let go out of the side of the bath so I couldn't get him out of there and had to get DH to come and lift him. DH told him he had to say sorry and he wouldn't. So then we were stuck in that situation where you've painted yourself into a corner. J wouldn't say sorry so even though I wanted to put him to bed and he wanted me to put him to bed then I couldn't.

BigPigLittlePig · 07/12/2014 10:43

Stunt that's a tricky one. Mr Pig would quite possibly have a similar view to your dh, seeing that behaviour as "naughty" whereas there are certain times of day that I recognise as raising challenges with dsd and F - before meals (hungry) and bed (tired) when they are likely to play up, and trying too hard to discipline results in a downward spiral of despair iyswim...my approach is more along the lines of "come on, we don't do that, do we, now let's sit to the table" etc etc.

Anyway. Makes you feel pants when they go to bed crying Sad

StuntNun · 07/12/2014 11:21

He was only crying for me. He still got a story from DH who sat with him until he was asleep. The other two were nowhere near as clingy as this.

As I have now done my Christmas with the girls it can now snow us in. Wine rack is reasonably respectable and I have stocked up on fray bentos pies Incase of real emergency!

PetiteRaleuse · 07/12/2014 21:10

Lovely day today. Lunch out, quick trip round the shops, a long nap and put up the tree.

It's raining though so a tad annoyed at having cleaned the floor as it is already muddy again.

LO much better, no more need for painkillers, just the antibiotics. Had a bit of an argument with someone about her being given abs every ear infection - but tbh at this age they can't understand being told to sit it out and see if it clears up on its own after a few days. You can do that when they are a bit older and can understand. But not as an almost baby.

Elizadoesdolittle · 07/12/2014 22:54

E says mit-miss too. She is already obsessed with all things mit-miss inc father Christmas but was less than impressed when meeting him at the school fete. No dodgy photo to share though. That will come when we meet him officially at his grotto in a week.

Had a great weekend but as expected I'm knackered now so should take myself off to bed. Night all.
