My slow cooker arrived.

Have normal meals planned for tonight, tomorrow and Wednesday already but shall defrost something to test it for Thursday night.

I now consider myself almost healed. Can eat and drink normally, but it hurts. Stings really.

Ate a lovely Galaxy bar earlier on Wink and remembered how yum they are.

PetiteRaleuse · 01/12/2014 20:18

Might be a deficiency yw or it might just be that he likes the taste or texture. He's a toddler, they're weird :)

A blood test should sort it if you are worried. I thought you guys on reflux meds had vitamin supplements anyway.

Elizadoesdolittle · 01/12/2014 20:19

That's great news pr about the mouth, well and about the slow cooker too actually. I haven't used mine much lately but am going to on Wednesday. Puls DH is away next week on a course so I will be using it a lot more then I expect. And when the baby is born! I love hearty winter comforting food in the slow cooker. Must dig out my slow cooker receipe books.

I've just been through all the presents I've got the girls. There is quite a lot. Yikes. I haven't paid full price for anything so haven't spent as much as it looks but blimey there is quite a bit. Think I'll wrap it next week when DH is away so he can't moan!

PetiteRaleuse · 01/12/2014 20:30

Well being a big winter food fan I am quite excited. I hope to do one of our Christmas meals in it (obvs not the beef wellington) and use it for soups on days it isn't busy.

Going to pop up to Lux to stock up on spices and do some Thai and Indian curries too.

I don't see myself using it for cakes but can see myself using it for sponge puds. Sticky Toffee Pudding maybe? Mmmmmmm.

Kyz · 01/12/2014 20:51

Evening all :) hope you've all had a good weekend! I got a tree, my very first tree of my very own :) Cue a very excited me putting it up last night until silly o'clock!

glad you're getting better pr :) about time, bless you!

big hugs bp xx

I also love the smell of mulled wine but can't really manage much of it to drink!

Bless you Eliza it's bound to be hard work at first, but you'll get there i'm sure :)

sounds nice wanda not sure on the cucumer juice though

sounds like S has come a long way with his dairy ishoos zamboni that's great :)

gt sorry I don't have any advice for you :( but it does sound like some kind of couples counselling might help you. How are the boys? And you? :)

yw E has an obsession with eating chalk in particular. He will eat chalk and wax crayons, he insists on eating them, he doesn't focus on using them for longer than a few minutes before he's gnawing at them. I hadn't worried about him, thought he was just being a PITA, but maybe not? He isn't on any reflux meds though.

hope you enjoy the SC pr :)

PetiteRaleuse · 01/12/2014 21:27

I remember my mum picking me up and showing me my crayon stained teeth in the mirror ??

Lily311 · 02/12/2014 04:52

Galaxyyyyyy pr, I hate you.

Passmethecrisps · 02/12/2014 07:32

Wassup?

PetiteRaleuse · 02/12/2014 07:59

Sorry lily :)

Starting to get nice and cold here finally.

StuntNun · 02/12/2014 08:44

J won't take his vitamins anymlr. I'm hoping once he's off the Omeprazole next week he'll start taking them again as he'll only have one medicine to deal with instead of two. Today is the last day at 50% of the dose then we're down to 25% tomorrow. He had three malted milk biscuits yesterday and slept all night so we're definitely seeing big improvements. Unfortunately DS2 has been up three times the last couple of nights so we're not getting much sleep. DS1 told him about some scary app about a monster robot in a pizza restaurant Shock and now neither of them can sleep.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhh chores chores chores. The bloody winter sun Shows up every crumb and streak in the joint.

O quite likes fire lighters Confused what deficiency is that?

Bad night last night. Not sure whether it was back molars or the wind playing a tune through the vents in his window. I ended up on the floor in his room with a very inefficient blanket and a cushion.

Quite tired today. Calls for all day fire in the play room and extra christmas pies. As luck would have it DH is working from home today which is always nice.

BigPigLittlePig · 02/12/2014 15:12

I am bored Confused

Physically not up to doing much.
Mentally not got enough concentration to do much.
Can't sleep.

Gah. Moan moan moan.

Might ask dh to get some mince pies and brandy butter. It is December after all.

Elizadoesdolittle · 02/12/2014 16:42

Go for it. I had my first mince pie of the festive season yesterday Smile

Meant to pick up some more from the shop earlier but I forgot! I did remember to get dinner though so that's something I guess. I really am Mrs Forgetful at the moment.

It's damp, windy and cold out today. My least favourite weather. I don't mind the cold as long as it's accompanied by blue skies.

Kyz · 02/12/2014 19:54

Evening all :)

Today is good, i'm finally allowed to tell you DP got a promotion at work (though he had to do a badass interview for it) :D Brill timing with a new baby on the way, and i'm so proud of him! Wasn't meant to say before until it was all official etc, and now it is :)

Great news stunt that J is on the mend with his intolerances :)

hope tonight is better Wanda

have some more hugs bp i think you need them

eliza I haven't had a mince pie yet, but I'm fussy with them and I like home made ones that are warm, or not at all. It's been freezing here too, and our boiler decided to pack up which was fab. It's ok again now thankfully!

In other news me and E are both not well, we're both bunged up and feeling sorry for ourselves. I didn't get ill once when pregnant with E iirc but i've been ill 3 times already so far and i'm only 14w!! Grrr!

PetiteRaleuse · 02/12/2014 20:04

Being ill when updiffed sucks, you have my sympathy kyz

There were some snowflakes up near DH's work today but none here. Can't be far off though now.

LO had a bad night and day am also wondering if it is teething related seems like a good while since have blamed teething for something :o but we are still due those last four.

Hmm. Mince pies. I think it is time I made a trip to the British shop. I think like mulled wine they are one of those things I like the idea of but not the actual thing in practice.

Elizadoesdolittle · 02/12/2014 21:09

I'm not a massive mince pie fan unless they are warm and covered in cream. But DH loves them. He can never be arsed to warm them. I'm getting hungry again!

BigPigLittlePig · 02/12/2014 21:21

Dh went to the shop on his way home, and bought brandy butter! And chocolate pudding Hmm As a man who eats neither mince pies nor brandy butter he just doesn't get it. He is also genuinely surprised that i don't want to eat the chocolate pudding with the butter! Bless him. F has only just gone to sleep anyway, so shall leave it til tomorrow.

GTbaby · 02/12/2014 22:20

BP what do you eat with the brandy butter?

Kyz great news about new job. Boo for bring ill thought. Hope you manage to rest. Don't forget extra fluid.

Yw I'm sure I've heard pg ladies eat chalk because of deficiencies so worth getting him checked.

Thanks for advice. Have gone down AA route looking for advise before. But did t really find anything. Maybe I didn't want to though.
Prob with gp is finding the time to go. And how would we fit therapy in?!?

He mentioned it in our last talk. I've considered it before but never took it further as I didn't think he would agree.
He is working away during the week for 3 weeks. Time apart is doing us good. Giving me time to think and just be alone.

Currently trapped under a snotty A who also has an upper airway infection. Confused He wiggles away from me in bed. Then all of a sudden wakes up looks around, them when he finds me lunges into me and falls asleep. Then repeats.
As much as this sucks I'll miss this cuddly alone time with him one day.

YellowWellies · 02/12/2014 23:46

Kyz get well soon love - I can't believe you're 14 weeks already! I can't believe Lil is 10 weeks on Thursday. Its been so much more fun without reflux screaming.

I'm getting v excited about the prospect of snow next week. I can't wait to see the bear's face when he clocks it! Smile I'm looking forward to a snowy day in the park.

Wandathewindfairy · 03/12/2014 08:13

Get well soon everyone.

gt you have to invest the time to see if you can make things work better for you. And For your marriage and for your family.

Radio times. When?

Getting excited now. We seem to have burns emoticons but not Christmas ones? Confused

There I was catching up on the day last night in bed and I read BP s post

Me .."Mmmmmmm brandy butter"
DH ...Confused

I am off to the shops this morning for brandy butter.

wanda on snow. It can snow as much as it likes after I get back from Blighty late Sunday afternoon. I should have finished my Christmas shopping by then. Had my christmas day with the girls and I will get some freezer stuff in just Incase. Remember the only shop I could conceiveably walk to is a spa thing at a petrol station. So. I wishing for snow until Sunday night please peeps.

Wandathewindfairy · 03/12/2014 08:14

Rephrase rephrase ...NO WISHING FOR SNOW UNTIL SUNDAY NIGHT PLEASE!

PetiteRaleuse · 03/12/2014 09:23

DD1 vommed in her bed last night. Then in mine. Lazy tv and dvd day here.

We have a bit of snow. Enough to be pretty, a dusting I suppose.

BigPigLittlePig · 03/12/2014 09:24

GT brandy butter goes with warm mince pies, it's a law or something.

F screamed getting into the car today, total meltdown, "no car no car, car gone, bump bump" Sad

Well done mr kyz, and fc for absence of the white stuff, wanda.

YellowWellies · 03/12/2014 10:20

Wanda they're St Andrew's day emoticons! Smile

Bp awww no. It'll take time - poor love xxx

PetiteRaleuse · 03/12/2014 10:25

Poor little F it will take a while but she will forget x
