PR so glad you are feeling better

I love mulled wine

All on the mend here thank god. L not right yet but a lot better. Still very clingy which I'm kinda enjoying!

BigPigLittlePig · 29/11/2014 20:47

I am not on strike.

I am bloody sore.

And tired. And wobbly.

Glad your mouth is better(ish) pr x

Pikz · 29/11/2014 21:07

Oh bp such huge huge hugs

PetiteRaleuse · 29/11/2014 21:37

Big hugs piggy Flowers

Elizadoesdolittle · 29/11/2014 22:12

Busy day at a 4yr old party. She's my best friends daughter. Had such a lovely day. Non dairy was a bloody nightmare. I thought I was doing ok until I found E smeared in chocolate. Humpf.

There was mulled wine at the party and quite cruelly at one point I was left in charge of stirring of stirring it. But then like you pr I remembered I love the smell but actually don't particularly like it.

bplp Massive hugs xx

pikz Glad L is getting better.

Wandathewindfairy · 29/11/2014 23:47

No strike here just busy being pampered, and oiled, and buffed. Now I am just winding down.

Wandathewindfairy · 30/11/2014 08:35

Morning ladies. Cucumber juice all round! Envy

BigPigLittlePig · 30/11/2014 10:20

Cucumber juice?! What on earth?! I am o my 2nd coffee of the day Grin

Slept quite well, was soo tired, but couldn't enjoy my lie in as every time i closed my eyes I relived the other day. Still, the sun is shining which illuminates the bruising vv badly

Elizadoesdolittle · 30/11/2014 10:31

I'll take the pampering and oiling but leave the cucumber juice thank you!

bplp I've been thinking of you loads. Glad you managed to get some sleep. Take it easy today Thanks

In the car the other day DD1 was asking about accidents. This was before yours. She was saying what would happen if we had a crash and I was assuring her we wouldn't and that I'd be careful. And she said "but what if someone else isn't careful and they crash into us". I was thinking about that driving home last night so I can only imagine how you feel.

BigPigLittlePig · 30/11/2014 10:49

Bless her, eliza.

Just about to head out as a passenger. Let's see what that's like minus the adrenaline Hmm

Might dig out the rescue remedy lol.

In other news, F is walking around saying "cooool doooood".

PetiteRaleuse · 30/11/2014 14:27

Hope it went ok piggie

I feel well enough to eat cake. So am baking myself a belated birthday chocolate fudge cake.

I don't think I can drink champagne yet but let me eat cake.

Zamboni · 30/11/2014 15:35

Glad you are improving PR - it has sounded horrible.

Eliza no real advice but when we de-dairied we ate a lot of jelly, fruit and sorbet. Not sure if sorbet is properly ok though as we didn't worry as long as it wasn't a main ingredient.

S is now totally fine with butter, cheese and yoghurts now and his cough has long since disappeared and he sleeps well. He has cows milk at nursery with cereal but not to drink but at home he has Oatly. His intolerance was only ever very mild compared to some quiche LOs though.

Zamboni · 30/11/2014 15:36

Meant to also say BP, hope your journey today was ok and you are feeling ok.

Elizadoesdolittle · 30/11/2014 17:28

pr enjoy your cake. You deserve it.

Thanks zamboni. I'll check out sorbets. Have stocked up on dairy and soya free jelly so at least she can have that as a treat.

bplp Hope it went well. I'm an awful passenger!

I've got to attend a speed awareness course on Wednesday Blush I'll be doubly careful from now on.

DD1 been sick twice today. At first I thought it was just over doing it on sweets and chocolates from yesterday (there was a lot) but now I think it might be a touch of what I had on Thursday. No school tomorrow then, arses!

PetiteRaleuse · 30/11/2014 17:33

I am drinking champagne. It stings a tad, but the stinging is offset by its lovely coldness. Just a small glass as I don't want to push my luck.

BigPigLittlePig · 30/11/2014 19:06

Was ok as a passenger, but shat myself when someone threw a balloon in my face (airbag, anyone?) and felt sick as a dog when i saw a photo of a car like ours.

Sorry to hear of illness in the house, eliza.

But yay for champers, pr. Happy belated birthday Thanks

PetiteRaleuse · 30/11/2014 19:28

Someone threw a balloon in your face? Were you at a party?

Keep an eye out for signs of PTSD won't you. Obvs now it is all raw so tis normal to freak out. But if it doesn't fade with time do look out for yourself xx

BigPigLittlePig · 30/11/2014 20:05

Was a leftover from Fs birthday, kids just playing around. All popped now Smile

GTbaby · 01/12/2014 00:18

Hello kyz feeling a little sorry for myself. Fh was away on my bday and came back for weekend. But made no effort to get me a lil cake or anything. He has left for week again.

On that note I know quite some time ago wanda and others made a few comments about fh. And I never replied. I wasn't having a strop or ignoring you. Just read them late at night half asleep then forgot to reply. Just popped into my head earlier. He is a dick. Not sure what else to say.

I want to maybe see a couples councillor. But every time I think it , I kinda get stuck as I don't know where to go for that kind of help. Any ideas where to start? Just a thought ATM. Thinking something and doing are very different things.

Struggling to keep eyes open. So best be off. One of these days I WILL get an early night rather them staying up to watch recorded tv!

PetiteRaleuse · 01/12/2014 08:36

GT I wonder if Al-Anon might be a good place for you to start - it is the organisation which helps and supports people in a relationship with (parent, spouse, child, sibling, whatever) someone with an alcohol problem. It might be a good starting place for you to get some advice: www.al-anonuk.org.uk/ without involving FH for the moment.

As for couples counselling I wonder if your GP might be a good place to start for a recommendation. Or Relate if they are still around?

BigPigLittlePig · 01/12/2014 10:38

Relate still exists, do you think he would agree to go?

YellowWellies · 01/12/2014 10:38

Does anyone else's LO eat things they shouldn't? Jonas is addicted to eating chalk and sand. Its gone on for months now, and is so bad I changed my mind about his Christmas present which was going to be a chalk board and just can't let him in the sandpit. He does it every week at toddlers. I don't fly off the handle as I don't want him doing it for the attention, but I'm firm with him. Its clearly Pica but otherwise his development and social skills are normal - could he have a deficiency? Confused Should I speak to the doctor about a blood test for iron and zinc?

BigPigLittlePig · 01/12/2014 10:39

Oh and Cake for you gt xx

itsnotyouitsMeals · 01/12/2014 11:11

yw long term use of omeprazole can apparently cause iron deficiency. My PIL takes it and was given advice about this. Worth investigating? Can't find a reliable link now.

YellowWellies · 01/12/2014 11:42

Meals that's what I'm worrying about. Will book a doctors appointment - thank you x
