Marking place. Keep loosing you all

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/11/2014 08:24

Worst night sleep ever. Brew anyone?

PetiteRaleuse · 27/11/2014 09:08

Me and DH had a pretty bad night on vom alert. But the girls slept through. I could have done with a day on my own to get straight though.

PetiteRaleuse · 27/11/2014 09:10

No Brew thanks am still on iced water... Hoping that will change soon I see some small signs of improvement. Fingers crossed I can eat an actual meal some day soon.

Wandathewindfairy · 27/11/2014 10:33

Passes the iced water all around. And loves.

Has anyone weaned their LO off Omeprazole? J has been on 75% for a week I've just put him down to 50% yesterday. I'm just wondering whether I should expect a flare up of symptoms while his body adjusts? Last time I tried to cut down he ended up in quite a bit of pain at 50% but I'm wondering whether there's bound to be rebound effect with coming off the drug.

Oh PR you are being very non-whiney, I think I'd be tantruming better than S with the unfairness of it. I am shit at being ill.

Eliza, that sounded like a lovely day with you an E. I almost never spend one on one time with either DC, but DH will have loads with S when DD starts school next year.

Kyz - I love xmas present bingo, amazing Grin

Hey GT how are things?

My DSis is getting married very soon (in your neck of the woods Eliza) so DD and I have been discussing weddings a lot. When DD realised she can marry neither her aunt nor DH, poor S has been cajoled into playing "weddings" with her. Which is interesting as she doesnt actually know what a wedding is yet. Mainly it seems to dress up in various princess outfits and boss S around a lot. So normal play then. S is normally a fairly compliant wee soul but this morning he was having none of it, being far more interested in playing with his shopping trolley while wearing a handbag and wizards hat. So DD came running in to complain that "S won't marry me today". A story for someone's wedding, I think!

BigPigLittlePig · 27/11/2014 13:28

Definitely Zamboni!

Am just contemplating how to decorate Fs cqke for her wee party on Saturday. Am slightly Confused about it all. Sponge is good, crumb coat is good. Icing is overrated, right? Right?!

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/11/2014 13:44

zamboni ooo where abouts? I love a good wedding! Had similar conversation with DD1. She was upset to find she couldn't marry her Daddy, E or her cousin so settled on her best friend Lily instead!

I was sick this morning. Am never sick. I don't think it was a bug a la minipr but just one of those pregnancy things. Feeling quite crappy though so early night all round in the dolittle household I think.

Got E's consultant appt tomorrow so I need to be awake to take in what he says to me. Luckily E doesn't have to be there so that's one less distraction for me.

YellowWellies · 27/11/2014 13:49

Stunt I'm not sure. Jonas went from 100% to 50% in one go with no ill effects, we were going to wean from 50% to 0 this week but then the dentist informed us he's cutting his last 3 teeth in one go. Teething always triggers his reflux so we'll wait til they're all in before making the move Confused Confused Confused Confused

BigPigLittlePig · 27/11/2014 19:57

We are still on the full whack of omeprazole here, and i still feel as though it is only just holding things at bay...we have a review with the gp next month so will discuss it then.

F fell asleep on me at bedtime, was divine.

QuicheMama · 27/11/2014 20:14

Hello my darlings ThanksBrewWineBiscuit

Working hard, playing hard, and very happy. Oh, and very broke!

J is down to 50% omeprazole. Cut him down to 75% then to 50%. He is very dribbly, and is teething, but is sleeping much better than he has for a long time, so I am guessing he is coping with the reduction. Like YW I am leaving it a while before cutting again to let his teeth come through.

We still have no carpets and no heating upstairs, but the windows are fixed now so the rain and wind stays out. We have make-shift curtains too.

Have I missed much?

Zamboni · 27/11/2014 20:26

Missed you QM! So lovely to hear you enjoying your new life! Glad J is sleeping too.

Eliza the reception is at The Tudor Barn in Eltham - think that is vague in your direction. I've not been before but as a bit of a Tudor geek, and a lawyer I am quite thrilled at the prospect of being in a place Sir Thomas More would have visited (the properly was built for his daughter when she got married)!

PetiteRaleuse · 27/11/2014 20:33

Ooh zamboni I bet it's haunted :)

BigPigLittlePig · 27/11/2014 20:44

Mamaaaaa!

Synopsis - there are quiche siblings due to pop out left, right and centre. Much birthday cake has been eaten. PRs mouth is grotty and sore.

That's about it.

BigPigLittlePig · 27/11/2014 20:45

Caveat: my medium-long term memory is pants Grin

QuicheMama · 27/11/2014 21:06

Yes, some lovely cakes indeed!

Is Eliza next to pop?

Poor PR

Wandathewindfairy · 27/11/2014 21:12

I am watching The Fall. Alone. Shock

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/11/2014 21:21

yay qm glad to hear all is well. I think I'm next to pop. Apologies if I've forgotten anyone. due in 5 weeks!!! still shitting myself Grin

zamboni yes it's very close. About 15mins drive from me. I'm a tudor geek too. You'll love it. Never actually eaten there but did go to a Christmas fair there a couple of years back. Must make a note to go and try the restaurant.

pr I've hardly eaten today and am bloody starving. I can only just imagine how you must be feeling.

BigPigLittlePig · 27/11/2014 21:40

No more vom, eliza?

F was 5 weeks early. Just saying Wink

Elizadoesdolittle · 27/11/2014 21:58

bplp thankfully no. Not sure what was going on. I still feel very weird but not like I'm going to throw up.

I'm ignoring your last comment Angry Grin

StuntNun · 27/11/2014 22:13

No sign of teeth here so I'll see how J does for a week on 50% Omeprazole and then consider cutting it again.

Jims · 27/11/2014 22:41

Ooh I've been to the Tudor Barn in Eltham. Well the garden anyway. We have friends down there who I don't see as often as I'd like.

eliza I loved (in as much as you can love a v painful thing) my homebirth. I shall be cheering you on from the side. Especially if you post during labour Smile. Good luck for tomorrow.

Impressive cake making skills on display. Do love a good cake.

Hoping PR's mouth feels better soon.

Hello to everyone else too. News from here is that F is most definitely in the 'I do it self' phase. Very cute but also very time consuming til he decides he wants help.

PetiteRaleuse · 28/11/2014 08:23

I ordered my slow cooker. From Amazon UK for 40€ including postage, whereas from French Amazon would have cost 70€. Only issue will be the plug but I can cope with that I have the odd mountain of adaptor plugs lying around.

I think, I think, I think, there is some improvement in my mouth today. It's gross and disgusting and scabby as, and I dare not eat very much as last night's dinner was excruciating, but I think the worst is over.

StuntNun · 28/11/2014 09:52

That's taking an awful long time to clear up PR, could you be a bit run down?

J managed to sleep through last night despite only having 50% of his Omeprazole so it looks like he will be able to come off it. I suspect that the 50% dose doesn't do anything because I don't think it will be absorbed properly due to the pharmokinetics so I reckon that if he can get down to 50% then the rest will be easy.
