Was alright PR actually he does however sleep like a rotisserie!

PetiteRaleuse · 09/11/2014 19:46

That's great pikz :)

Just popping on to wish laughsalot love and luck for tomorrow (I think?) iirc an elcs will be happening :)

misslaughalot · 09/11/2014 20:05

Thanks PR, yes tomorrow is the day! Have to be on the ward for 7am so don't think I'll sleep much tonight. Got a bit emotional putting O to bed tonight knowing that the next time I see her she'll have a sibling.

Hope you survived 12 children Eliza!

Hoping that M is feeling better today Fatima?

YellowWellies · 09/11/2014 20:18

Miss good luck for tomorrow. I loved my CS birth - hope yours is as smooth as mine was. Apologies if I've missed this but do you know what you're having? I'm very envious of that delightful moment of meeting and falling in love with a new baby Smile .

6 weeks in and we're starting to get bigger chunks of sleep so its getting much easier. Lil really has just slotted in, as everyone says happens with number two - its really true. And a newborn seems so easy compared to a toddler. I also think we're at the point that Jonas has nearly forgotten life before his sister. He's very sweet with her. We made Christmas baubles with hand and footprints on them today and Lil had a bit of a squawk when the lady held her foot and printed it - he ran over protectively to kiss her saying "Noooo Lilla sad! Kiss better".

Wandathewindfairy · 09/11/2014 20:23

Great luck miss. I too had a fab experience of an elcs. Enjoy your evening my love. Xx

Elizadoesdolittle · 09/11/2014 20:58

miss massive amounts of luck for tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you. it must be so strange knowing that at this time tomorrow you'll have your baby. just can't get my head round it.

Party survived. Was chaotic but fun. There were the usual tears and squabbles as children do but they well behaved and all had a good time. And most importantly E seemed to enjoy every second.

And now it's on to tomorrow. Got a scan in the morning to see if my placenta has moved then off to see the poppies at the tower and to have lunch with DH. Oh yes, it's also my 40th. Yikes.

Zamboni · 09/11/2014 21:02

Good luck Miss. Also had a fab ELCS.

Happy Birthday for tomorrow Eliza.

Will properly catch up now!

Passmethecrisps · 09/11/2014 21:07

Massive love and hugs for tomorrow miss how exciting!! yw's words are very reassuring.

Congrats for your birthday tomorrow eliza. Glad the party went well - I sounded great.

We had a quiet day here. Lazy start followed by a wander up to the castle and some medieval fancy dress. P appears to be famous up there as the staff knew her through Cm taking the kids there.

Back for a family nap followed by making a large beef stew and a trip to the supermarket. I have been trying to do the shopping wholly online as traipsing p round shops is a total trauma. However I end up spending a fortune and still needing to visit the supermarket at least twice a week.

Back home for cottage pie and bed for p. I am now trying to enjoy a hot chocolate but am massively irritated by the skin forming on the top. Disgusting!

BigPigLittlePig · 09/11/2014 22:44

...and that's one of many reasons contributing to my non-dairy status, pass! Grin

Pikz · 10/11/2014 04:19

Happy birthday Eliza and laughalot hope it goes amazingly can't wait to see pics xx

Lily311 · 10/11/2014 07:14

Where is everyone?

BigPigLittlePig · 10/11/2014 19:56

Here Smile

Have had fun Christmas shopping with F this morning, then a 2hr sofa nap, picnic in the lounge for lunch and trip to the farm park with Nana this afternoon. I don't want to go back to work tomorrow!

misslaughalot · 10/11/2014 19:58

Well, what a day! ELCS was great, S was born at 11.28 and I'm already out of bed and sitting in a chair. I'm so lucky that he's a champion breast feeder, just like O was. O came to visit this afternoon, she had a horrendous night last night, definitely knew something was happening, but had been fab for her nanny and grandad today. She really cried when DP picked up S but after a while of sitting in bed with us she took interest in him and gave him a lovely kiss when she left.

Very happy right now!

Passmethecrisps · 10/11/2014 20:11

What a beautiful update miss! Glad that o came round a bit before leaving. It all sounds like it went perfectly.

As does your day bp! How is the poxy one?

P has been a total yap today! On the car on the way from the Cm I was asking her what daddy does (cm has been teaching her 'mummy is a teacher') and she said "daddy werking" so I asked what I did "ehm. Sitting down"

Then she spat her dummy out behind the chair in her room.

P "oh! Where my meemee gone?"
DH "behind the chair"
P "yas. I spatted my meemee out behind the chair!"
DH "why did you do that, p?"
P "I don't KNOOOOOOOOOW!"

Cue much hilarity and racing around.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/11/2014 20:17

Grin pass she cracks me up I love your anecdotes

Lovely update laughs so glad it has gone well and everyone is ok x

Elizadoesdolittle · 10/11/2014 21:54

miss that sounds lovely. so glad you had a good experience. Welcome to the world S!

Had a lovely day. Was good to see baby at the scan this morning. Placenta has moved but baby is breech so now to see if it turns.

Went to see the poppies at the tower and then lunch at gauchos which was just yummy! Had some lovely presents including a necklace with links engraved with the DC names and will get DC3 name added once born.

I overhead DD1 saying to E last night "it's mummy's birthday tomorrow and she's going to be 71". Hmm Hopefully I haven't aged that much overnight.

PetiteRaleuse · 10/11/2014 21:59

Happy birthday Eliza glad you had a lovely day. Must have been great seeing the poppies it looks spectacular from all the photos I have seen.

Good news re placenta. I had a low lying placenta both times which shifted. And DD1 was breech until very late - almost 37w iirc.

LO's mouth seems to be on the mend. Still don't really know what it was.

Elizadoesdolittle · 10/11/2014 22:28

pr if it makes you feel any better they look just like the pictures so once you've seen pictures you don't need to see the real things Smile the ariel pictures do it the most justice. you just can't get the same impact on the ground. Oh and re your lo, i'm not wholly convinced that it wasn't impetigo. But glad she's on the mend.

isles7 · 11/11/2014 07:29

Despite having the biggest bed EVER my toddlwr octopus has given me a black eye overnight Envy

StuntNun · 11/11/2014 10:45

Oh no Isles I've had one of those too. My dentist says she treats a lot of people who have been hit in the face with a toy. Toddlers are dangerous!

PetiteRaleuse · 11/11/2014 11:39

isles dd1 gave me a black eye overnight once when I was pg with LO. We had just moved to the vilage and the rumour mill went into overdrive Grin

I had shitloads of medical appointments that week and all the doctors were very Hmm too.

Donnadoon · 11/11/2014 12:10

Congratulations miss Flowers

Passmethecrisps · 11/11/2014 15:43

Boo to black eyes!

Poor p fell up the stairs his morning and cracked her mouth full on a step. Blood everywhere and a call to nhs 24 later I ended up coming home from work to let DH get some work done. She i now sitting not he sofa wrapped in a blanket eating ice lollies while watching ben and holly. She is pretty short tempered and her face is a bit bruised and swollen. Poor wee soul
