Ugh. DH invited neighbour over for a drink. 4 hours ago. She came. Her dh is still here. She has fucked off home. And we have organised dinner here for tomorrow night. How did that happen?

PetiteRaleuse · 19/09/2014 23:33

yw forget about politics and enjoy pre-labour. Could last for weeks. Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 20/09/2014 00:52

Oh and a separate playdate planned for 10am so in 8 hours! Bugger.

Kyz · 20/09/2014 07:44

Morning quiche!

So, how are you all fixed for another quiche baby? ;)

Early days but I had to tell you all. Your support through good and bad things on my journey with e has been amazing and I'm not telling anyone irl for a bit (except dp). I just need you guys, hope that's ok :)

fruitpastilles · 20/09/2014 07:47

Oh wow kyz that's fantastic news, congratulations xxx

PetiteRaleuse · 20/09/2014 07:57

Zamboni · 20/09/2014 08:01

Congrats Kyz

BigPigLittlePig · 20/09/2014 08:44

Nice one kyz xxx

StuntNun · 20/09/2014 08:47

Fabulous news Kyz, I'm so happy for you. Looks like there will be a few next generation quiche babies next Spring. There's definitely something in the water! Being a second time mum is a completely different experience as you're confident in your parenting skills and you have a bit more perspective that any ishoos such as growth spurts and teething are temporary and you just have to wait them out. Have you told E he's going to be a big brother yet?

Passmethecrisps · 20/09/2014 09:03

Yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats kyz xxx

YellowWellies · 20/09/2014 09:05

Kyz that's wonderful! Am so chuffed for you Smile

Well my tightenings were back with more muster last night. Enough to wake me several times. And lots more mucus plug this morning. Think it's in the offing this week maybe. It dies down in the day but ramps up at night or when walking. S/he is 35 weeks today - whoop! So we are off round the art galleries in Edinburgh to stop the cabin fever and see if we can get out of the latent labour holding pattern.

Elizadoesdolittle · 20/09/2014 09:34

Ah kyz what lovely news. Many congratulations xxx

Wandathewindfairy · 20/09/2014 10:45

Hoooorreayyyy. Great news kyz Grin Thanks

izzybizzybuzzybees · 20/09/2014 10:48

Aaw what lovely news kyz

Very excited for yw too :)

I gave birth today as well.... At least it felt like it. I should have taken the yucky lactulose liquid!

YellowWellies · 20/09/2014 14:15

Izzy that would be what my DH proudly terms 'a danger to shipping'! Btw don't worry about J's chat. J says somethings so clearly but also spouts a load of jabber too. I think it says everything about what a loving caring family you are that his best word is 'cuddle' Smile

PetiteRaleuse · 20/09/2014 19:32

Dinner was cancelled. Yay. I think the neighbours had a hangover, though they called it a stomach bug Grin Playdate went ok but was tired.

Have had a lovely vegging about day. The girls have kept each other busy. I am looking for a self catering cottage by the sea for a week in October. Probably north coast which will be cold but we need the sea air and for it to be dog friendly. And not too far.

QuicheMama · 20/09/2014 20:04

Woo Kyz GrinGrinGrin

Donnadoon · 20/09/2014 20:06

kyz Flowers good for you girl !
In some respects I think it's scarier second or more times round because you know what to expect and how precious the babbas are IYSWIM
You'll be fine though chick and you have loads of hand holders here Grin

Jims · 20/09/2014 20:33

Congratulations kyz! I second all stunt said about seconds.

I see i was not the sweepstake winner. But i'm glad mini wellies is cooking for a bit longer.

Passmethecrisps · 20/09/2014 20:48

Evening gorgeous chums.

Lazy day here. Car troubles meant that the morning was filled with garages and the associated drop offs and pick ups. We did get a long lie and brekkie in bed watching telly though - dreadful bad habit but I so love it.

Nap was had and then we popped to our second home to check out the beasts. I suspect said beasts see us so often they reckon we are the exhibits!

We also made brownies from a packet which p sort of enjoyed but she refused to eat the product because it looked like poo when being made. Perhaps this is the side of cooking with children that isn't so great? Mind you, we get a whole brownie tray to ourselves!

She is finally in bed after strutting around in DH's socks like a pair of odd stockings and doing a funk instipred dance routine.

Now DH and I are settling down for our own dinner of steak and hassleback potatoes. At this rate though it will be 10 o'clock before we eat.

Lovely.

Passmethecrisps · 20/09/2014 20:54

Oh, DH has just reminded me.

P and I were sitting on the stairs before going up to bed and I asked her if she had a nice day "yas". Then "what was your favourite part of the day?" "hmm. Cookeen Cocklat cake!"

So the brownies she refused to eat because they were poo were still the best part of the day!

Go figure

Passmethecrisps · 20/09/2014 20:56

Does no dinner guests mean you and DH get posho dinner yourselves pr

PetiteRaleuse · 20/09/2014 21:17

We hadn't done the shopping pass so we had what we were planning to have: steak salad and chips. DH did a nice shallot sauce to go with it it was delish.

Elizadoesdolittle · 20/09/2014 22:17

Babysitting my DN tonight. Gives me practice for having 3. All fast asleep by 7:45. DH and I have actually watched a film!
