about the MMR we worry so, dd was fine only a bit of temp about 10 days later. i keep reading that Guardian column on science, it usually keeps me from getting alarmed about the most outlandish claims/studies

and ttc there is never a right time as i keep saying to dh who seems to be trying to delay this endeavour
but as i sit here barely awake after dd waking me up almost every hr during the night, i do question my sanity

Aww Giddy. Sorry you are having a rough time....(again....).
Take care and don't stop posting. Rant on here if you have the energy.

sfxmum · 20/10/2006 16:36

Giddy

dd has developed a most alarming loud shriek which she uses for no apparent reason

she has also started a kissing thing she will kiss herself in the mirror, her relatives, friends and strangers she will kiss her teddy and bunny and she will make them kiss each other
but...
will you give mummy a kiss? NO!

giddy, what a horrible situation for you re: dh's work What a betrayal after all his years of service. And poor dd1, I hope she feels a bit happier soon.

I hope this will cheer you up - this was MIL's last offering at the altar of "Cheap Crap for DS" (after the famous wellies) and must now be consigned to the bottom of the Freecycle box in anticipation of her arrival this afternoon. She promises she is bringing "lots of new things" inc the cape that goes with the wellies. At least I know you lot will get lots of amusement from these things In case you can't tell, this is a thing for holding toys and whatnot that goes over the back of the passenger seat in the car. In the shape of a monkey.

sfxmum · 22/10/2006 10:49

giddy i am sorry for that rubbish situation with your dh, unfortunately companies value easy short term profit over loyal emplyoees.

and dd1 poor kid, hope she feels better. but i just don't get the carers are they not supposed to be developing a proper care plan? it can't just be oh lets call mum and tell her there are problems without already be working with you on a solution.
besides challenging behaviour is almost always a communication tool, not just 'a problem behaviour'
sorry for rant cookies yummy

trib - nothing will ever top the wellies , then again maybe the raincoat that goes with itkeep us posted

ds in sumo pose with boots and ds in catalogue pose with boots . What's the poor bugger going to look like with the cape on, argh.

giddy - glad dd2 is running true to form. Never do anything your parents expect you to ds gave me a lovely long lie-in this morning (discounting the 5 o'clock waking, of course). This is with the express aim of demanding his nap precisely when MIL is due to arrive!

tribpot · 22/10/2006 11:25

MIL's just been on the phone, btw: "does he know I'm coming? Is he excited?" God, this is going to be a long couple of days

2MwahHaHaHappy · 22/10/2006 14:51

Oh Giddy, that sucks. Your poor dh, what a slap in the face. And dd,

Trib, and I thought nothing could outdo the wellies, but a matching cape?! Superb! Good luck for the next few days, though!

tribpot · 22/10/2006 14:51

I'm trying to work out how soon after her arrival I take a pic and sneak it on to MN

2MwahHaHaHappy · 22/10/2006 14:55

Oh, as soon as poss, please, I could do with a giggle!

tribpot · 22/10/2006 15:17

I should add, the reason why MIL is coming is because I am on a hellish training course for the whole week next week. I've only done about half of the required reading I'm really worried and upset about the course as it's vital for me to pass it if I want to get promoted, but as well as being 9-4:30 every day with an exam on both Wednesday and Friday, there is 2-3 hours homework per night. My mum is coming on Tuesday for the week but as she only gets back from hols in Portugal tonight we asked MIL to pitch in for tomorrow to give her a chance to get turned around.

On the plus side, this means I won't have to see very much of MIL; once she's here and settled I shall be off to try and do some more of the reading

Can't think of Portugal without remembering one of my dnieces who used to insist it was called 'Porkachul' (sorry sfx!)

sfxmum · 22/10/2006 16:16

well trib i have called it much worstbesides i am portuguese but not from Portugal can't be doing with those continentals[snoot snoot]
have next to zero national pride, they always run out their best assets. in a huff since they disowned our best writer.

enjoy MIL and good luck with study, speaking of which essay deadline fast approaching
dd has lady bird wellies must post pic soon wewwees!

hope everyone ok
giddy sorry for speaking out of turn

tribpot · 22/10/2006 16:57
