We've been admitted to hospital until at least Sunday via a&e and resus. Potential lumber puncture in the morning. I think he's fine just an infection. if manage to exchange and complete tomorrow as planned we are due to move in 7.5 hours! Still lots of packing to do and dismantling furniture. Don't think dh is going to get any more sleep than I am

Naturegirl82 · 24/10/2014 05:12

Poor H. Stressful situation for you all. Hope he doesn't need a lumbar puncture but try not to worry about it if he does. O had one at a day old and was fine. The Dr's will take good care oh him.

BookTart · 24/10/2014 10:38

Oh getting how stressful. I hope H is better soon, and that the move goes a smoothly as possible.

TobyLerone · 24/10/2014 10:44

How horrible for you all, getting :( Hope H is much better soon.

Same goes for all the other poorly babies (and mums!). How is P, book?

BookTart · 24/10/2014 10:58

She's not being sick at the moment, but has pooed through three outfits so far. Nobody shat on me in my old job. Can I have it back please? Smile

Naturegirl82 · 24/10/2014 11:06

book you may be over the worst of it now. O pretty much stopped throwing up by the time the nappies started! One was so bad it took both me and Dh to change it! Shock

TobyLerone · 24/10/2014 12:21

At least you know something is going in if she's managing to do some giant poos.

BookTart · 24/10/2014 14:11

Five outfits Shock She refused her toast this morning, but can mysteriously manage to eat her luminous pink rice cakes. Hmmm...

How is H doing getting?

AnotherStitchInTime · 24/10/2014 14:22

Oh Getting sorry to hear H is worse, but glad he is getting treatment. I hope your DH manages the move OK.

Book at least it is moving through. No need to rush on the food, some bugs like rotavirus can damage the lining of the intestine and it can take weeks to recover. Rice is easier to digest than wheat.

Gettingthroughthis · 24/10/2014 16:00

He's had the lumber puncture which was pretty awful as they have to curl them into a ball which they obviously fight. He's sleeping now (and is most of the time).

House went through woo! But didn't get the keys until just now and were out at 12 in 2 vans so have 1 very grumpy husband

FelixFelix · 24/10/2014 16:03

Oh poor H Sad glad everything worked out with the house.

Book I wouldn't worry about food either. Hope she's feeling better soon.

Swannykazoo · 25/10/2014 09:03

Hope he's feeling better Getting - what a stressful time. I'm sure you're glad you trusted your instinct that he wasn't well and kept going back.

AnotherStitchInTime · 25/10/2014 09:21

Oh poor H, how are things today Getting?

Been up since 5 with M who has gone back to sleep now, but the older two are up. The clocks go back tomorrow, not sure I can cope with a 4am start Confused.

In other exciting news I start work on Monday. First time in over two years. Excited, but nervous and sad to leave my children. At least it is only 3 days and they will be with DH so I know they will be ok.

BookTart · 25/10/2014 09:41

I hope H is okay getting, and that the unpacking isn't too hideous.

That is exciting another. I think three days will be lovely - best of both worlds.

Persephone has kindly passed her bug on to me. DH had to do the night shift for the first time last night. She had her best night ever, and only woke twice between 7 and 7! I can't even pick her up at the moment, and she's getting very upset, but there's nothing I can do Sad

AnotherStitchInTime · 25/10/2014 09:47

Oh no Book, hope you feel better soon.

I remember in my house we all had D&V once at the same time. So it would go: Breastfeed, stop to vomit, breastfeed again, dd1 vomit, clear up, breastfeed, stop to vomit and repeat. DH just had to sort himself out. So much laundry, the washing machine ran constantly. Happy Days Grin

BookTart · 25/10/2014 11:17

That's exactly what it is like in my house now another! DH has started to complain of stomach ache as well...

Naturegirl82 · 25/10/2014 14:20

book that sucks. We had the same thing here too so you have my sympathy

Angelesque · 25/10/2014 23:24

Another good luck for Monday!!

Hugs to all ill folk. F hafts been off nursery almost every day this week - any hint of D or V and he's on a 48 hr ban - so v stressful balancing with work. Seriously considering jacking it al, in to be FTM for a few years... Feel like I am a shit employee AND a shit mum right now...

Getting so much respect for how chilled you are about lumbar puncture - sounds so hideous. Ace work on the house though! We've offered on four so far (over asking) and no luck yet... twatty bastards but we'll keep trying...

Angelesque · 25/10/2014 23:58

Book have I ever mentioned to you that Persephone has been my dream girl's name since I was a teenager? I don't think I've ever said despite being really excited when I saw P had arrived!

FelixFelix · 26/10/2014 08:09

Good luck another!

How did everyone cope with the clocks changing? S was up at 6 which isn't too bad. I was expecting 4.30-5.00. I'm knackered though as she was up constantly last night so is super whingey this morning and DP is off on a 90k bike ride Hmm

Naturegirl82 · 26/10/2014 08:47

Felix we did ok. Up at 6 which is normal for us. Bedtime should be kept today as she has quite a late nap after swimming so hoping our transition goes ok

Naturegirl82 · 26/10/2014 08:48

Another good luck for Monday. I've quite liked going back to work. I miss O but it's nice to do something else as well.

BookTart · 26/10/2014 10:03

90k felix? Shock

Aww, thanks angel, DH named her after some songs he likes. Teen-me would have called her Ophelia, but apparently that was "too poncey". Because Persephone isn't, obviously Wink Good luck with the house hunting. It sounds crazy out there at the moment. I'm never moving again!

FelixFelix · 26/10/2014 10:56

Sorry I meant 90 kilometres not 90 thousand haha!

BookTart · 26/10/2014 13:05

Good job, that's about twice around the Earth! I think 90 kilometres is really far though - he must be super fit!

What toys are your babies playing with at the moment? Percy seems bored with hers I am too
