Secret Santa has started on FB :)

Lily311 · 05/09/2014 19:25

Thanks fuck pr. I needed a bit of festive magic.

BigPigLittlePig · 05/09/2014 20:39

Quiet today.

Knickers only was, erm, interesting. Think we'll try again in a few weeks! She loved the knickers though, and pulling them up and down, and up and down, and wiping her (dry) bottom. Funny child.

Passmethecrisps · 05/09/2014 21:16

Knickers are fun that way!

You will get there gt. Soon it will seem normal I am sure.

How are you feeling vq.

It has been lovely to have catch ups with jims and rowing. Wonder who else might pop by?

The egg trials seem to be going well stunt. Small steps though.

Any news from kyz?

Glad this week is over. Absolutely knackered and have the most terrible headache. One of those that makes you feel like your eyeballs are going to fall out when you bend down. Unfortunately, the excitement of having daddy home meant that p has only just gone to sleep after about 2749473 stories, 383 songs and lots of big crying.

PetiteRaleuse · 05/09/2014 21:17

Cute piglet

ValiumQueen · 05/09/2014 21:57

I am on the mend thank you Pass x Hope the headache eases soon.

isles7 · 05/09/2014 22:08

I am child free!

But instead of sitting in a cocktail bar getting pissed with some pals as planned, I'm tucked up in bed in my jammies having an early night because I agreed to do overtime at 4am tomorrow. Envy

I've had a fab day with the bear today. All the jobs were done and DH had tea cooked so we were just able to play together all day. Toddlers in the morning, then an afternoon of rainy day games: dancing, stories, building blocks, train set, cleaning the fish tank, planting some seeds and playdough. Feeling Sad that days like that, just doing whatever he fancies, and enjoying each other's company - are going to be rare luxuries when baby arrives in eeek at most 35 days. If s/he doesn't arrive before I'll be induced on the 11th October. Wah! Shock He seems too wee to be anyone's big brother.

GTbaby · 05/09/2014 23:41

Thanks everyone.

The boys get breakfast at 8. Lunch at 11.30 the "tea" at 4. Tea seems to be meals such as - sandwiches, jacket potatoes, noodles, crumpet with cheese. So to me this is substantial, next week I'm planning on getting fruit loaf or similar for them to have for dinner. They are also offered fruit and cracker snacks twice a day.

YellowWellies · 05/09/2014 23:48

GT boiled eggs and toast soldiers are a favourite post CM supper here.

GTbaby · 06/09/2014 00:01

Thanks YW. H is very fussy. At home and nursery. A eats everything except when sleepy. ATM H only eats cereal, beans or speghetti hoops Blush he loves bran flakes. And on nursery days I usually let him have what he wants as I CBA with the fight ATM. But that needs to change. I keep hoping something will just click and he will start eating but I need to make the click happen.

isles7 · 06/09/2014 00:09

GT Tilly has all her 'meals' at the childminders: breakfast at 8 when I drop her off is usually either cereals and fruit or beans on toast on a cold morning. Lunch is at 12 and is home made soup/sandwiches or something like that (they made pizzas yesterday to have). Then she has a 'tea' similar to what you described at 4.30/5ish. Depending on how hungry/grumpy she is when she gets home I sometimes give her a small amount of what I'm having (although I usually have a big lunch at work so don't have much more than a salad or pasta when I get home) or hot weetabix and milk. She snacks a lot during the day so if she's really tired I don't hesitate to skip dinner and go straight for bath, or sometimes bed, when we get in at 6.30.

Why am I still awake? I'm beginning to think I might as well just stay up now. I need to cut back again, I think I'll have worked about 60hrs this week after tomorrow. I am very much looking forward to a day with M on Sunday having barely seen her all week 9am swimming lessons, not so much

isles7 · 06/09/2014 00:12

Gosh that doesn't sound very balanced reading it back! Snacks throughout the day include grapes, berries, crackers, cheese, yoghurts etc...

PetiteRaleuse · 06/09/2014 07:24

Morning all. We have DH's work BBQ today. We are also returning my brand new printer to the shop. Dull as dullsville.

BigPigLittlePig · 06/09/2014 07:29

Similar here gt. Weetabix another fave snack.

FatimaLovesBread · 06/09/2014 07:38

I popped in up thread
and no one noticed Sad

Grin

M has all meals at the childminders on the day she goes, we normally just make ourselves tea but then she normally scoffs half of that as well, little piggy

It's DHs penultimate weekend of cricket thank fuck then I no longer have weekends doing everything myself

misslaughalot · 06/09/2014 07:44

Morning all, DP is working a rare Saturday today and I haven't been able to get back to sleep since his alarm went off at 6.20. O has slept through though, that's twice in the last week. Both days she ate an entire banana after dinner, surely that can't be the magic key can it?

So yesterday I made the final decision to go for an ELCS with DC2. Have weighed up all the pros and cons and after O's birth it is the right choice for me. Couldn't get a date booked yesterday though so will have to wait until my 34 week scan in 4 weeks and then I can sort it, eek. 35 days max to go YW?!?! Wowsers, that's close! I'll be looking to you for tips on how to cope with newborn plus toddler!

Hope your early start wasn't too bad Isles

BigPigLittlePig · 06/09/2014 07:50

Hia Fatima Grin

I wish F would sleep just a bit longer in the mornings, the 6.15 starts are a killer.

Elizadoesdolittle · 06/09/2014 09:19

Morning all.

yw I feel the same. I am enjoying some time just me and E whilst DD1 is at school. Being the middle child I do worry she is going to miss out on a lot of one to one attention. Like J she is so teeny it seems unreal she is to be a big sister. The word E and big do not go hand in hand. She is still a clingy mummy girls and is going to get the shock of her life when the baby arrives. My only bit of a hope is that she loves babies so hoping her maternal side will show through. Time will tell. Oh and you have PM :-)

Am looking forward to this weekend. Today we have a friend over to play who has 2 little boys roughly the same ages as my girls and she is pregnant with her third, due a month after me. So excited that I know someone else about to embark on the mother of 3 journey. Then it's off to DD1's swimming lesson and after that am taking the girls to the inlaws for a sleep over whilst DH whisks me out for dinner to celebrate our anniversary.

misslaughalot · 06/09/2014 09:51

Happy anniversary Eliza

StuntNun · 06/09/2014 11:15

J had a bad night last night Sad so no more egg for a while. I'll make a dairy-free cake for his birthday and that can be the next egg challenge. He didn't react to the well-cooked egg so at least there's definitely improvement going on.

I'm all dolled up today not like me at all as we have to go to DH's work family fun day. Unfortunately it's scheduled at the same time as the local Donkey Derby so I'll have to have a quick change into civvies when we get back so we can rush out to see the donkeys.

Stunt boo to the egg challenge not being as positive as you'd hoped - I bet he's outgrown it within the year though.

Eliza woo just spotted it!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 06/09/2014 12:15

I spotted you fatima :) I'm just really rubbish at remembering to comment.
