Shall I let the tumble weed just keep rolling?

Off to work tomorrow. Feeling quite strange about it. I've been back in last two years but this is proper going back lol. But go to sleep.

Yw great news. Fingers crossed s/he is in for at least a few more weeks.
Vq hope the 3rd agent was ok and you feel better in morning.
Zamboni have fun

GTbaby · 03/09/2014 23:46

Eliza enjoy the Indian.
BP hope the revision goes well

Can't keep eyes open.

Noooooooooo. Baby crying Confused

PetiteRaleuse · 04/09/2014 07:19

I hate being all ready to leave the house 20 minutes before we need to. The girls are ready and itching to dive into the toy box, and I need a tidyish house before leaving in the morning otherwise the dog gets destructive. Trying to persuade them that Postman Pat is far more interesting.

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/09/2014 07:56

pr whenever I am ready to leave early I end up faffing and then am late. You should just leave and walk/drive slower/wait around outside your destination.

StuntNun · 04/09/2014 09:42

Brilliant news here: J slept all night after his egg challenge (crumb of dairy-free cake) yesterday - no sign of pain at all! I tried to get him to eat more cake today but he wouldn't touch it and it's not my inadequate baking skillz since DS1 and DS2 have been scoffing them despite the rather 'interesting' icing. So today he's had a bit of DH's boiled egg, both white and yolk. We'll be waiting with baited breath to see the outcome tonight. His last egg challenge was five months ago and showed definite improvement, since then he's gone dairy and soya free so hopefully his gut has had the chance to heal. He's been egg-free for 15 months now so I'm quietly hopeful.

Fab stunt. Hope all goes ok tonight.
E has just been stung by a wasp. I think she tried to pick it up. She was in the trampoline and shouted ow bee and there was a wasp on the netting. I got the sting out of her index finger, run it under water and put cream and plaster on. Plaster purely for placebo effect really. She didn't even cry but feels a bit sorry for herself.

ValiumQueen · 04/09/2014 10:10

Ouch to bee sting. I think if you remove the sting it is a bee, and then it dies. I may be wrong.

Feeling a bit brighter today thankfully, so am pottering.

GT Number three was fab, so was Number two, so we will make a decision at the weekend. We are likely to sell for about £10K less than we bought, but we had to buy at the top of the market so have not done too bad really.

BP have you studied the lower GI tract yet? If not, I recommend your DH goes away for a few days!

ValiumQueen · 04/09/2014 10:12

Oh and PR I agree with Eliza - go as soon as ready. To delay is just asking for trouble.

PetiteRaleuse · 04/09/2014 11:05

Yes I suppose I could just drive them around a bit until the gates open. Easy drop off this morning, except I got my first telling off, albeit a gentle one, from Teacher. We have to provide a mid morning snack, fair enough. But they have decided what we should bring on each day. So, Monday compote, Tuesday bread and spread, Wednesday biscuit or cereal bar, Thursday fresh fruit or veg, and Friday cheese or yoghurt.

Anyway this being the first week and still not having done my shopping the only fresh fruit and veg I have in was potato. Ooh, and lettuce. There are plenty of apples on the tree but DD1 bust her lip tie yesterday evening and I think an apple is a bit hard for a sore mouth. So I sent her in with compote. And got told off. I bit my tongue. Not literally. But didn't answer. Being foreign I am already at a disadvantage plus DD1's class teacher is also the headteacher, so if I fight with her the first week it will be a tough three years.

Good news is the paed is on side and will happily write letters to school and nursery to get them to cut their naps down or out. We're giving the girls a couple of weeks to settle in to their new routine first and then will see.

ValiumQueen · 04/09/2014 14:06

That is such a cheek PR!

I am making progress with my packing, and have made £40 from FB listings just today:-)

Wandathewindfairy · 04/09/2014 17:12

That is a massive cheek. I would be grring. I would be happy if they said this is the list of stuff they can bring, but to perscribe what in what day. Wowser.

We have been busy squeezing the last drops out of summer today Grin last minute beach afternoon after school. And just about to serve up the first of the golden veg soup (from the veg plot) of the autumn.

Ok.... O is running around with a fork. He has a fork obsession. So I had better go and supervise......

FatimaLovesBread · 04/09/2014 17:52

Hello thread!!!
Haven't posted for a while, haven't had time with holidays and works and being v unorganised and lazy. Sorry!

Just a quick post to say hi! M is fab, never stops talking and singing and counting and moaning

I'm going to try and post properly from now on. Will have a read back of the last page or so.

Hope everyone is well Smile

Wandathewindfairy · 04/09/2014 18:00

Could O conceivably be teething his second molars already? Given that he is chewing on bits of wooden train track and trying to get a spanner in his mouth. And very congested/mucusy.

Lily311 · 04/09/2014 18:11

Yes wanda.
Nursery went better today but still haven't left the room longer than 10 min though, they have a very slow settling in policy.

She had a tantrum which lasted 45 min. Her pony fall under the table and she couldn't get it out. Obviously she didn't tell me this, I had to guess while she screamed. All is well now and she is in bed fast asleep.

Passmethecrisps · 04/09/2014 20:01

Hello everyone!

Busier day here.

How was work gt?

Glad you are feeling brighter vq.

I was fairly sure p's back molars were coming in before as she was whiny, Snotty and dribbly. It could have been them moving or other teeth moving I suppose. Our dentist reckons p's teeth have a lot of growin still.

P ended up in bed with me last night after settling well. She woke at 3am and I knew as soon as I went in there would be no settling her. Seeing as I was on my own I didn't see why I should settle for cuddling in on the chair.

Glad you got the letters pr. Maybe you shojld have sent her in with the lettuce!

Rowingdowntheriver · 04/09/2014 20:10

Just popping in to say hi. And that I love how the Nov 12 thread is so easy to find, always at the top of the list of postanatal threads!

GTbaby · 04/09/2014 23:18

Work was ok pass but picking boys up took ages as I have to speak to two people. And because I'm usually free I take my time asking questions and today I was exhausted.
Then the chaos of home made dinner. Eggy bread no energy for anything else. A ate it. H wanted bran flakes. I CBA to fight with him. Then to bed. At which point I broke down and sobbed as I don't know how I can do this every day.

I felt like this in July also. But it almost being summer helped. But now I'm back properly there is no end in sight. Decided to wash the day away in a relaxing shower and made fh order pizza.

I'm bed early now. Going to try catch up on today. But eyes are starting to feel heavy.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 04/09/2014 23:24

Still keeping up. Had photos taken of the kids yesterday and have had a sneak peek at one so far. Looks great and I'm excited to see the rest. E's school pics were horrific so I didn't want to buy them... Any of them hence the private photoshoot.

Had pre-op today for surgery next week. Blood pressure is through the roof again cos I'm a wimp! Hoping they don't cancel.... Only two on the surgeons list next week.

ValiumQueen · 05/09/2014 07:14

Thinking of you Izzy x

GT you will cope. Get to bed early, prioritise, delegate, and enjoy the peace at work.

StuntNun · 05/09/2014 07:35

You will cope GT but it will take a bit of getting used to. I was the same when I went back to work after DS2. Trying to juggle work and home life is always tricky but it gets easier as they get older and they can do more for themselves. DS2 was able to get up and get dressed by himself from quite early on (or with a little bit of help), now he gets his own breakfast and brushes his teeth by himself so he's no trouble in the morning. DS1 still hasn't got there yet but we're working on that.

The results of the egg challenge was inconclusive. J did wake up in the night but he didn't seem to be particularly distressed so it could have been a nightmare. I'll see how he goes tonight then it's on to softly cooked egg for the next challenge.

Unexpected day off today Grin

GT (((hugs))) it sounds so tough. We are fortunate that nursery give F 3 meals a day - is there an option for that for your boys? Remember it was only your first day back, so is likely to get easier with time and finding your new routine.

Glad things are going okay so far stunt, would be great if you could lose one of the allergies - it would make like so much easier. I'd love to be able to do eggs for F for a quick meal, I love them and they're sooo easy.

VQ I have not specifically revised the lower GI tract yet, but given what comes out of dhs backside, i think he can rest easy Grin

Wandathewindfairy · 05/09/2014 07:57

I am sure lily that O will settle well into nursery given time. I am sure the Oder they are the harder it is as they are more aware of what is happening.

Enjoy your day off bp

Keep meaning to say yw yay for heads down. Did you have a rough day yesterday?

gt you will eventually get into a rythmn with it. Like stunt says as they get older and can do more for themselves it will be easier. I would imagine that nursery give them a main meal at lunch time? Therefore eggy bread, cheese on toast or a sandwich is all fine for a supper when you get in. But you need to think about what works for you. Keep going. Is Friday!!

((Hugs for everyone just because))))

YellowWellies · 05/09/2014 08:08

Don't forget Stunt he could be dose sensitive to egg so his reaction might get worse the more you add to his system in a short time.

YellowWellies · 05/09/2014 08:08

Wanda I missed an afternoon snack and had a hypo! Muppet!

StuntNun · 05/09/2014 09:54

Thanks YW. That certainly seems to be the case with soya, he can handle a single exposure but not every day. Fortunately all the boys like the homemade bread. It's going to be lush in the winter when they can have doorstop slices of homemade bread toasted over the fire. Grin I'm giving J a few days off then I'll try him on a tuna mayo sandwich for the final part of the challenge. On the basis of his reaction so far I'll be inclined to give him a go every so often with things like sausages containing eggs, but I won't be giving him scrambled eggs every day for breakfast! He may even get his first ever McNugget! As dairy is still a big problem he still won't be able to have things like cake, pastries etc. unless I make them myself so any reintroduction of egg will be minor at first. Fortunately he likes 70% dark chocolate and he can handle the soya lecithins. The biggest thing for me is seeing such a big improvement in his reaction. It gives me hope that he'll grow out of the dairy intolerance too with time.
