Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

O should have vit d too but I don't give her the drops over the summer. Started actually yesterday again together with multivitamins (wellkid). We have probiotics here called Normaflore which is a liquid, I call it the tummy ache medicine ;).

Nursery was slightly better today, a kid decided that shouting into her face is good fun but it really scared my girl. She likes her key worker but not the children.

Can we talk about ear wax? O has tons. Every day I need to wipe her ears with a muslin, by the end of the day you can see the wax again. She has been like this from birth so I know that it's not a sign of an illness but is it normal?

Hello chasing

Zamboni · 02/09/2014 19:44

Hey Chasing!

Lily S is exactly the same. The suff pours out of him but he is remarkably unfussed.

Inbox empty, out of office on, work phone switched off! Is there a better feeling than the night before holidays - or as DD calls it - holidaybobs. S keeps waving at the sky when we talk about the plane - don't think he gets it. He loves noisy large vehicles, lorries, trucks, trains, diggers, so I imagine he will be v excited and DD will be brave if S is!

Passmethecrisps · 02/09/2014 20:00

Hi chasing!

Gordon Bennett p has been hard work tonight. When I picked her up she was high as a kite as were all the other kids there. She are her dinner relatively well and was clearly exhausted but bedtime has been a total trauma.

Much tears and gagging with crying so hard and crying for her key worker at nursery! I am standing outside her door now which is slightly ajar. She sounds like she is coorying in but I failed in one attempt to tip toe away so I am taking this one slowly. Over tiredness to the max I think.

I haven't noticed too much in the way of ear wax here actually. I do hoke about in her ears which I know is a bad idea.

You must be so excited about your holidays zamboni! Very well deserved break for you all.

Elizadoesdolittle · 02/09/2014 20:03

lily E used to be the same. I remember posting on here about it in fact as I just didn't think it was normal. Thinking about it she's a lot less waxy than she used to be. Not sure why, I haven't done anything differently.

zamboni There is no better feeling than turning the out of office on. I haven't worked for 5 years and I still remember that feeling.

Passmethecrisps · 02/09/2014 20:04

Awake and crying again and saying "not fair!"

BigPigLittlePig · 02/09/2014 20:57

Wanda afaik molloscum is a ridiculously common viral thing, almost a ritual of childhood in line with pox. Unless they have more molloscum than normal skin, I wouldn't beat yourself up.

PetiteRaleuse · 02/09/2014 21:00

Have a wonderful time zamboni and a well deserved rest.

Tricky bedtimes here and several tantrums. I know they had big days, if full of fun, so I assume it's just overwhelming and emotions catching up on them.

Even if I had a shitty evening, at least they had good days. Right?

Passmethecrisps · 02/09/2014 21:13

That was my thinking pr. That was what I was telling myself anyway

Kyz · 02/09/2014 21:43

I'm hanging on by the skin of my teefs here guys :( sorry am rubbish ATM! Xx

PetiteRaleuse · 02/09/2014 21:44

Yes my post was in answer to you pass and was meant to say tricky bedtimes here too sorry.

Right. Looks like DH fell asleep settling DD1 so off to bed for me. Knackered, I feel like my head is too full of stuff I am learning. It's a nice feeling but a tiring one.

Passmethecrisps · 02/09/2014 21:48

I know - I got that. No sure my reply was clear. I was nodding and sympathising. Smile

Sounds like things are good and exciting though!

Are you alright kyz? We are always here . Xxx

ValiumQueen · 02/09/2014 22:28

I may have drunk a bit too much hooch tonight Blush

BigPigLittlePig · 02/09/2014 22:35

Watch out mr vq then Wink

Or was it tooooo much hooch Envy ?

Elizadoesdolittle · 02/09/2014 22:38

God I haven't drunk hooch for about 20 years! Maybe longer....yikes.

misslaughalot · 02/09/2014 23:01

Kyz hope all is ok? As Pass says we are here if you need to talk.

Our smoke alarm has gone off 5 times in the last hour Angry O didn't nap at nursery today and had thankfully flaked out at bedtime rather than putting up a fight. She woke and went back to sleep herself the first 2 times the alarm went off, the 3rd time was too much.

I just came downstairs to find the blasted thing in pieces in the kitchen thanks to DP Grin prays that tonight we don't have a fire

GTbaby · 03/09/2014 00:57

We have a Costco just opened up by us. Keep meaning to go but it's so busy and traffic is crazy around the area.

BP fh was ok. Helpful but annoying. Typical annoying man. Doesn't know what to do. Doesn't think. Sry Louie.

ValiumQueen · 03/09/2014 03:10

Been up for three hours vomiting. Not sure the hooch is entirely to blame - I only had one bottle FFS! I felt sick all day yesterday and the day before. I had attributed it to the current situation. If I had not been sterilised, I would be peeing on a stick.

PetiteRaleuse · 03/09/2014 06:00

Tomorrow I am Going to get the paed to write a letter to nursery banning them from letting LO sleep more than 90 minutes.

This morning I am having a word with teacher to find out how long Dd1 slept yesterday and why she wouldn't go to sleep in the evening.

I am all for daytime naps if they need it. But I have been up for 2 hours already for no rsason other than my 1yo who went to bed after 9 last night wasn't tired due to her extra long nursery nap.

PetiteRaleuse · 03/09/2014 06:31

Sorry you're sick vq .

Passmethecrisps · 03/09/2014 06:41

I can only imagine my gp's face if I had to ask him for a letter saying how long p could sleep for! It sounds like it is necessary though. Sounds pretty horrific pr

Sorry you are sick vq. In your position I would also have thought it was an anxiety response. I hope it passes soon.

Bit of an up and down night here - lots of p sleep talking and crying out. Then ageing pussy visited at 5:30 wanting breakfast. I am currently back in bed with a coffee ignoring the fact that I have to get up.

DH is on a conference for a few days so I am on my ownyown!

PetiteRaleuse · 03/09/2014 06:52

Procedure is they don't wake a sleeping child pass

I know it's ridiculous but it is such a vicious circle but if they won't go against guidelines then I will make them.

Lily311 · 03/09/2014 07:17

Exactly the same policy here pr hence O is only staying till 12. I have to wake her at 2 to be able to put her down at 7 pm. One mum was complaining that she could never put her son down before 10pm as he has 3-4 hr nap at nursery in the afternoon.

Sorry you are sick pr

Jims · 03/09/2014 07:31

Wanda - both my boys have had molluscum 'skankiosum' too. Ds1 had it for about 3.5 years before it finally cleared which was a tad annoying and he gave it to DH and ds2. You can get a new 'medication' called molludab but it's very expensive for what it is so my DH who is a chemist made some for us at work! It worked on Dh but not ds2 who gets sore skin around his spots so we don't use it.
I'm a bit sceptical about the immune system claim - as i understand it, it's a skin virus and because not in contact with the blood stream, the body takes a while to recognise it as such. Molludab theoretically irritates the skin so the body 'sees it' and attacks it.
