BP nothing definite, but a couple of options. It is a bit unnerving not knowing where I am going to be living, and with the three kids too. I wasn't prepared to do this when I just had the one, so I must be getting brave in my old age.

ValiumQueen · 31/08/2014 07:09

J was awake from 2-5, but then nodded off for about 1.5 hours. Dreadful wind and refluxy. Sensitive little bugger.

StuntNun · 31/08/2014 07:47

The FB group is called Slow cooked wonders :) including the smiley face. It's a little bit disorganise but there are some amazing recipes on there including ones for a full cooked breakfast done in the slow cooker.

I am doing the Spanish chicken from there tomorrow. Smile

Lily311 · 31/08/2014 08:06

Thanks. Just asked to join.

Zamboni · 31/08/2014 08:19

Me too

Wandathewindfairy · 31/08/2014 08:21

I actually wonder, vq, if the older we get the braver we get. When you realise that every day is precious, and, if you don't do the stuff you want to do, make your life the one you want it to be, no one will do it for you.

Sounds good lily, on both counts, I.e. man and nursery!

dS1 starts school/reception on Tuesday. Like you, pr tissues at the ready!

Yesterday was ace, ds1 loved the museum. He loved everything and took it all in, after a mooch round the botanic gardens and DHs old university we had lunch in a cafe recommended by stunt that was chilled and a bit noisy and no one paid attention to the toddler sliding ice cubes up the length of a long refectory table Hmm everyone happy.

BigPigLittlePig · 31/08/2014 08:30

Lily that sounds promising, any plans for a 2nd date?

Looong night, snotty toddler, I have had the squits, dsd up at crack of whatsit. But the sun is shining, I have sold lots on ebay, and the blackberries are ripe on the common.

Elizadoesdolittle · 31/08/2014 08:46

I'll ask to join that slow cooker group. I need inspiration. will be using it a lot in the winter, especially when baby arrives.

DD1 starts reception on Wednesday. I think I'm going to be the only mum in the world that doesn't cry when their pfb starts school!

Wandathewindfairy · 31/08/2014 08:48

I am sitting here with a dishwasher to unload and brisket to put in oven, but gazing into space listening to the clock ticking, somehow seems to be the order to the day.

Wandathewindfairy · 31/08/2014 08:48

Motivate me. Someone. Please.

StuntNun · 31/08/2014 08:52

Another cup of tea first Wanda. Then you can do it.

Wandathewindfairy · 31/08/2014 09:10

Ok Grin

StuntNun · 31/08/2014 09:18

Actually I think I might do the same although I'm feeling energetic this morning so I might drag DS1 out for a run.

Passmethecrisps · 31/08/2014 09:36

Good morning.

Lazy start here - coffee and cartoons in bed.

Then off to ikea and costco I think.

Oh the glamour!

PetiteRaleuse · 31/08/2014 09:58

Morning all. Weird night. Everyone slept except me.

Off to my chicken farm's open day today.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/08/2014 09:58

They are very happy chickens btw.

PetiteRaleuse · 31/08/2014 09:59

lily that does sound promising :)

StuntNun · 31/08/2014 10:10

DS's run was terrible. He'd go a lot faster if he stopped complaining. Kettlebells next for me then I'll get to my third cup of tea of the day.

Oh! P saw a big cardboard chicken in the supermarket next to the Happy Eggs.

She looked at it and said "oo! Chicken! Yum yum. I eat" then pointed into her mouth.

Argh. Having a shot time on our holiday. I'm up ready. Cooked breakfast. Cleaned up. Everyone fed. Pack lunch done. Fucking wanker of a husband won't get in the shower and get ready so we can actually do anything. Thinks going out at 4pm after naps is a better idea Angry I actually want to kill him. Sitting out on the deck to avoid a life sentence marginally worse then my life ATM.

isles7 · 31/08/2014 11:19

Hi all. I've been reading the thread at work the past few days but can't log in from my office pc.

lily all sounds positive! Hope O settles okay.

VQ you are much braver than me.

GT D H is being rubbish. I would be absolutely livid in your shoes.

There was so much more I wanted to say but my mind has gone blank!

Have just noticed some chat about costkea trips today. XP has suggested we go there his afternoon so he can do a big costco shop for me and M before he goes back offshore on Tuesday. This is his new found 'good dad' routine, although it hasn't ever extended beyond a couple of supermarket bits before now. Wondering whether or not I can get some meatballs out of him as well…. Lily311 · 31/08/2014 11:22

No plans for second date. I leave it with him, if he is interested, he will get in touch.

Just received 10 huge watermelons. Anyone fancy some?

Lily311 · 31/08/2014 11:25

Only 9. Sorry

StuntNun · 31/08/2014 11:29
