J had an accidental CMP exposure yesterday thanks DP for not reading the label properly on the hot dogs and didn't wake up last night! I'm hoping that means his gut is recovering a little so he can cope with a small exposure. DH then went on to say he didn't think J was lactose-intolerant anyway . He has a PhD in biochemistry ffs he should know the difference between cows milk protein and lactose. We saw the dietitian yesterday and have been advised to start an egg challenge as J has dropped three percentiles this year. She's going to see him again in November to decide whether to start supplementing with Pediasure Juice.

Not a great night here either. Bedtime refusal x2 I didn't care too much about that as was out for dinner with some friends multiple wakings and pre-5am start.

But think they are still a bit confuddled after visit to their GPs and as we're off on hols I reckon the routine is out of the window at the moment.

Am ok with spiders - don't love them but can manage.

Day of pottering then DH and I are going to a roller disco while PIL babysit at night for only the second time ever. The first time was a disaster and we were summoned home after 40 mins when they couldn't cope with S so FX tonight is better!

Wandathewindfairy · 30/08/2014 08:40

ROLLER DISCO Shock

Wink

Have fun xx

We are having a family day out at the museum mummy DS1 is very excited. DH is on the grumpy scale. It I will soon knock that out of him!

StuntNun · 30/08/2014 09:01

Wanda definitely take DH to the Conor cafe then. The food there is awesome. My DS1 loves it there for some reason, can't think why!

I have a day out to Ikea today with J then a fun trawl round Sainsburys.

Had a lovely day yesterday. DD1 really enjoyed the tiger. Have been invited to a BBQ today but was a really last minute invite (as in last night). Apparently my friend kept forgetting to text me about it. Anyway I don't think I'll make it as have too much else on. The girls have got a party to go to over lunch. It's at a lovely local farm so should be fun. Then DD1 has her swimming lesson. I could go this evening but quite frankly I was looking forward to some sofa time so think I'll decline the invite.

A friend texted me last to say she is pregnant. She's due in feb and has 2 boys. Am very pleased and purely for selfish reasons it's nice to have someone else about to embark on the journey to being a mum of 3 littleies.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/08/2014 15:42

Knackered. Took the girls to the zoo. They were too tired to really enjoy it which happens I guess when you stay up four hours past bedtime....

ValiumQueen · 30/08/2014 18:02

Are you going to start having lessons then YW?

Lily311 · 30/08/2014 18:02

Took O to the zoo too. It was a date w a guy. I liked him I think.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/08/2014 18:41

Tell us more lily :)

Great lily

PetiteRaleuse · 30/08/2014 19:34

I have been lurking on that slow cooker fb group a few of you are on. I'm in. It will be my birthday present to myself. I was hoping for a piano but finances can't stretch to that. I will take out all my creative energy on a slow cooker.

Problem though: you guys can get them for a tenner. Over here they are expensive. €70 minimum. How do I make a good investment?

Wandathewindfairy · 30/08/2014 19:44

Grrrr trying to get through to Chinese.

ValiumQueen · 30/08/2014 19:54

Would it be worth us posting one to you PR? I don't suppose The Book Suppository sells them.

ValiumQueen · 30/08/2014 19:55

Good Lily Smile

I was down at the Estate Agents today, and have started packing.

YellowWellies · 30/08/2014 20:04

Wanda Chinese night here too. And finishing decorating our bedroom. The last room! Then we just need to build baby a chest of drawers, hang some curtains, eventually get a sparky in to install 2 new lights, paint J's Wendy house etc and my nesting is done. Think the Wendy house might not happen until spring - I have a sneaky suspicion I'll go early again with this babe. We've just had the first waters break on our October 14 thread tonight. The earliest baby is going to be a 35 weeker - that's pretty good going! Anyway its made me realise I need to pack J's bag for my sister's. Thankfully she picks up her new car this week! So hopefully it could be less panicked getting to hospital than I'd feared as she can come here, rather than us have to drive a 20 mile trip away from the hospital!

We also picked up J's birthday present today - the IKEA kiddy kitchen. Am glad that's sorted out ahead of time.

VQ yes I was having lessons in early pregnancy but gave them up as my bump got bigger.

ValiumQueen · 30/08/2014 20:56

I will be wrapping Christmas presents tomorrow. It is unlikely we will be back here before Christmas so I want to leave stuff with my Mainland relatives Grin I have got my Dad a Santa outfit. It was reduced from £30 to £1 in M&S and is really nice quality, honest. And socks. He has to have socks.

BigPigLittlePig · 30/08/2014 20:59

Any luck on the house hunting, vq?

PetiteRaleuse · 30/08/2014 21:18

I'm also preparing for Christmas. Recipes in fact. Just hoping for a pneumonia free herpeangina free and IL free xmas and new year this year.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/08/2014 21:19

And. Ahem. Thinking of getting my secret santa all singing and dancing spreadsheet out again.

Passmethecrisps · 30/08/2014 21:40

Bring on the spreadsheet!!

Lunch was brilliant. Lovely to see old chum and p was a total show-off! Much dancing and merriment

Zamboni · 30/08/2014 22:31

Great idea PR.

Roller disco was fab and not a peep from DC for PIL so a good night. Been ages since DH and I just did something fun and frivolous together. Grin

Lily - yy to more details

What is the FB slow cooker group?

I'm almost finished for Christmas. Presents wrapped last weekend and in the loft. Only perishable stuff to go. And all birthday presents until the end of the year. But it's a stress coping thing. Yes I'm a bit odd-

Elizadoesdolittle · 30/08/2014 22:48

I thought I was being organised by writing lists of present ideas for Christmas. I have booked the slot for DD1 and E's trip to visit Santa's grotto. Most weekend slots in December are all sold out already!

Had a takeaway curry which was yum. DH currently making a curry to put in the slow cooker overnight. Didn't think that meal plan through!

zamboni glad you had a good night out.

Lily311 · 31/08/2014 04:25

pr ask someone to post it. It will be cheaper. I will get mine out from the cupboard too.

Guy is friend of a friend. Very normal. Very down to earth. 37. Previous girlfriend passed away. Similar but utterly different story. He knows what he wants. He wants kids, O liked him, kept feeding him with grapes. I can see his flat from my window.

I am very disorganised about Xmas this year. Will need to make an effort once O settled in nursery.

Lily311 · 31/08/2014 05:26

Which one is the slow cooker group you are talking about? There are so many!

Lily311 · 31/08/2014 05:27

Oh and I am awake but obviously O is asleep. Not sure why I can't switch off. Oh I remember now, nearly 2 years of early wakings...

Did I mention nursery start tomorrow?? Hallelujah
