In your slow cooker? Let me know how it turns out.

I'm looking into laptops. Still haven't decided.

Wandathewindfairy · 29/08/2014 13:33

Wowser miss sounds ace.

misslaughalot · 29/08/2014 13:42

It's fair to say the kitchen smells amazing! I'll get some pics of FB and post a link to the recipe if they turn out ok...

PetiteRaleuse · 29/08/2014 19:12

DD1's last day at nursery.

Lily311 · 29/08/2014 19:54

Hugs pr. You will be fine. Just don't sing a certain abba song Wink.

PetiteRaleuse · 29/08/2014 20:29

I won't embarass DD1 with an acapello version at the school gates but I have had it in my mind since this morning.

Will obvs do the obligatory first day photos.

Pikz · 29/08/2014 20:32

Am hooooooooome Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 29/08/2014 21:19

Hiya Pikz.

There are 6 spiders in my living room. SIX. And that's just the ones I can see Sad

Dh had to rescue me yesterday when a giant one threatened to jump in Fs bedroom. I think he now recognises the slightly desperate shrieky "mr piiiiiiiig" which means "there's a huge fuck off spider, I need immediate assistance RIGHT NOW."

Anyway.

Am going to indulge in a lovely bath. With a book. Happy Friday quiche Wine

Passmethecrisps · 29/08/2014 21:56

Welcome home pikz xx how was your trip? Did you manage to enjoy your time away?

Those brownies looked amazing miss! What an amazing idea.

Oh, for heaven's sake! I have lots of things to comment on and I can't remember . . . I will type then read back.

P has had a very good second week in full time. Yesterday she gave me a chirpy 'bye bye' as I left which helped no end. This morning she was clingy and weepy so I wasn't holding out much hope. Apparently she trotted straight in and gave her key worker a big hug. I am very relieved.

What are quiche plans for the weekend? We have a beautiful and lovely friend coming for 'Sunday' lunch tomorrow which I am very much looking forward to. Sunday remains free for probably an ikea visit!

BigPigLittlePig · 29/08/2014 22:00

O god. just heard rustling, then saw an enormous fuck off house spider climb out of a bag on the landing. Luckily I had bug spray in my hand from my recent de-spidering mission as dh is out.

I am now sat naked on my bed with a flip flop and the spray. Not funny anymore.

Confused Confused Confused

Passmethecrisps · 29/08/2014 22:12

Oh no! Do you have more spiders than normal?

Hope the leggy buggers nob off

YellowWellies · 29/08/2014 22:24

Pass we're off to IKEA on Sunday, and finishing decorating our bedroom and then helping my sister choose a car on Saturday. My late Mum's sister (who never had kids of her own and is v protective of us) is buying her a mini for passing her test! Shock

BigPigLittlePig · 29/08/2014 22:36

Thry have just all appeared at once Pass, with the cooler weather. Literally overnight.

Driving tests...how are our quiche learners getting on? I forget who they were now. Yw? Chasing?

Passmethecrisps · 29/08/2014 22:37

Oo we might spy you then!

A mini sounds lovely as does a lovely Aunty.

Oh! I did mean to tell you all about my ridiculous anxiety about my parents having a foreign holiday!

One of my many aunts has a place in Portugal. My mum and dad were invited to go out but have only been abroad once and on a place three times. They had to have passports renewed and had no clue what to do about flights. DH organised flights for them and they flew out yesterday for ten days. I am so nervous!! I am worried it is too hot for my mum and that my dad struggles with the food. I am worried my mum's sisters gang up on her or get drunk (mum doesn't drink) and bitch about their mum which upsets my mum and my dad gets cross! The villa is in the middle of nowhere apparently and while large has nothing in walking distance at all.

I feel a total fool for being so worried - I wonder if I would have been so concerned before I had p?

Passmethecrisps · 29/08/2014 22:40

Hmm. Are there things that spiders don't like? A smell maybe? DH beat me to the loo just before and came our clutching a huge one. I am not scared per se but don't like them moving fast.

YellowWellies · 29/08/2014 22:48

Put conkers on your window sills and next to external doors - it keeps spiders out. They all scurry out and about this time of year because its spider sexy time!

BigPigLittlePig · 29/08/2014 23:02
Envy

Does that actually work? Am keen for anything. Above all else though I do not want to pass my phobia on to F. It is hard. Dh takes her outsude spider hunting won't have to look hard now and I leave them to it.

OMG ANOTHER ONE Sad Sad Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 29/08/2014 23:16

Have no energy to read the last 6/7 posts but it is after midnight and the girls are wiiiide awake and manic. No screaming. They are just chortling or manically laughing and thus encouraging each other.

Am thinking of going to bed and leaving them to it. The worst they can do is throw each other off the sofa. Right?

PetiteRaleuse · 29/08/2014 23:19

Having had conkers all over my house and on the outside window sills since I was last advised to do it... i can say no. This is a good year for spiders. The jumpers jump further than they ever did. The scarperers are faster than they ever were. And the biters are just evil. DD1 is covered in those two hole spider bites. I have three. Dh seems to be immune bastard

PetiteRaleuse · 29/08/2014 23:21

And tonight's fb status is inspired by a super fast humongous spider which DD1 chased, then got chased back, then I chased and killed. It was big. And extremely fast.

PetiteRaleuse · 29/08/2014 23:53

Ok. Almost 1am. DD1 still going over the day and evening.

Lily311 · 30/08/2014 05:01

I was taking lessons throughout May and June as hadn't driven for over 10 years. After 12 lessons I bought a car and put 2600km in it in 2 months Blush. I love my car and I do make mistakes but I correct them so all is good.

No spiders here just yet but I'm sure they will appear soon.

PetiteRaleuse · 30/08/2014 05:50

Worst. Night. Ever. No crying. Just sleep refusal x2

PetiteRaleuse · 30/08/2014 06:04

And LO thinks getting up now, at her usual time, is acceptable. And despite me dealing with them and letting DH go to bed last night, guess which of us is awake now.

I was about to continue my whingefest on FB but ended up deleting my rant due to not wanting my ILs to be able to gloat (not that I would hear them but still).

BigPigLittlePig · 30/08/2014 06:38

PR if it makes you feel better it probably won't F has been up since 4.45. Having just had a mini rave around the lounge with a wee guitar, she's now doing a jigsaw thank god
