Wowser lily that is amazing. I too am impressed.

Poor old DD1 gets all the midline defects in our family. She has quite a prominent sacral dimple and had to have it scanned etc to checked, they said her sacrum only just meets up. It was a very worrying time for me as you can imagine. Interestingly she is also the one who had eczema and intolerances. Apparently it is common for children of people with epilepsy to have spina bifida I.e non formed sacrum and if they are pregnant they should take more that the RDA of folic acid. My ex h's mother has very severe epilepsy and my ex h had all the common sacral marking that go with that so I wondered if is was a hereditary thing. Don't know could have just been one of those things.

The boys both had quite prominent stork marks at birth which have faded but I was lead to believe it was because they are very fair.

A perfect day today. I spent the morning, as you may have seen, doing finger print/hand print craft pictures with the boys for various cards that need doing. I did this in shifts. So DH had one (DS1is learning to use a mouse on an actual computer and O is getting coming down the stairs lessons) while I did the relevant craft activity with the other. I am so pleased with the way they turned out and am thinking of doing some Christmas cards.

At the old nursery they did Christmas cards and got them printed. Does anyone know of any way I can get this done myself. Most companies I have looked at only do them for nurseries or schools.

Anyway. We took the boys out for lunch and then spent the afternoon being cosy at home. I made stuffed peppers for tea out of the Ella's Kitchen Red book and everyone loved them. I was super chuffed.

I polished the day off with a fab chat with the girls and am now tucked up in bed early with a very stiff neck, for some reason. Thinking I may need a better pillow/s

Looking forward to the house porn pass

PetiteRaleuse · 25/08/2014 21:51

Ooh yes house porn, forgot to say yesterday bring it on!

Wanda how about taking a picture of them / scanning them in and emailing them to photobox or similar - they might print greetings cards.

Passmethecrisps · 25/08/2014 22:14

Forgot!

Here ya go porn

PetiteRaleuse · 25/08/2014 22:17

I love everything about that one except the electric fireplace. But other than that it is great Smile

Passmethecrisps · 25/08/2014 22:25

This one is a serious "we have to put our house on the market tomorrow" contender.

Lots of draw backs but plenty of scope

YellowWellies · 25/08/2014 22:35

Woo love it! Smile

BigPigLittlePig · 26/08/2014 08:21

Ohhhhh stunt!

Morning, just having my first coffee at Costa before my last trip to ikea for some time ( won't be be able to get here and back and pick ds1 up from school in time and don't do ikea at weekends)

Love that house pass xx

Lily311 · 26/08/2014 11:15

I love the house!

Ahh stunt, hugs

O starts nursery on Monday, just submitted all the papers. Will be so strange but very much needed. She is finally back in her bed and doesn't need me to sleep with her but decided not to use the high chair anymore just mummy's lap. What is happening AT this age? So many tears and tantrums.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/08/2014 11:22

The terrible twos lily . Do you remember all my complaining about DD1? She is getting much better now but it took about 15 months of frustration and tears (for all of us)

Lily311 · 26/08/2014 12:58

Already? It's just horrid. I can't do 15 months of this throws tantrum too.

PetiteRaleuse · 26/08/2014 16:57

You can, and it won't be all this bad. She is learning to handle her emotions but not able to express them brilliantly yet. Tbf I was busy with LO and wasn't available for DD1. Nursery really helped actually.

Elizadoesdolittle · 26/08/2014 19:01

it can be a tough age lily. I struggled with DD1, sometimes still do! E hasn't been as bad yet but still has her moments. It does get better though. The good moments outweigh the bad. Hang in there.

MsJupiter · 26/08/2014 20:20

We are struggling with behaviour too, not quite tantrums but very strong willed and disobedient. Finding it physically very hard as L is so heavy and strong now. Hate having to restrain him to change nappies etc but no alternative sometimes. I feel like I've been in a wrestling match most days.

Kyz · 26/08/2014 20:38

Evening all! Hope everyone is well? Had a really busy weekend so didn't get chance to catch up with you all and then the weekend ran into the beginning of the week and i'm still catching up from that!

Good point : missing shoe found!

Bad point : washer has broken!

Shall get to fred reading, have missed you all over the weekend x

Passmethecrisps · 26/08/2014 21:22

Hello lovelies.

You have my sympathy lily. I wouldn't say p tantrums but her emotions are on a very fine thread and she tips very quickly into real naughtiness or proper weepy tears.

I suspect that as they learn to communicate their emotions better and we learn to preempt the flash points things will become easier.

Glad you found the shoe kyz!

PetiteRaleuse · 26/08/2014 21:25

LO is insisting on watching your ice bucket vids on repeat. pass we watched yours at least ten times.

Passmethecrisps · 26/08/2014 21:44

Hahahaha! I am glad someone enjoyed it. It wasn't quite how I had
Planned it.

Maybe I should post p's one on the quiche FB group

Passmethecrisps · 26/08/2014 21:45

Oh yeah and see Ice bucket challenge for an example of p descending into weepy tears - because she wanted to eat the ice

ValiumQueen · 26/08/2014 21:58

Where was the shoe Kyz?

Love the house Pass.

GTbaby · 27/08/2014 01:31

Haven't posted on so long that you have vanished off my list Shock

Just booked a family weekend away to local Surrey. Will be a total shock to the system coming from busy London!

It's a self catering lodge. So better get organising in terms of packing. No idea what to pack! Never stayed at a place like this before.

Wandathewindfairy · 27/08/2014 07:47

It will be lovely to have a break gt away from the
ILs. Grin

Yes kyzwhere was that shoe.

lily hold onto your hat.....it gets worse! No really. This is the hardest stage. However, if her style is tanturmy don't be surprised if she still has the odd tantrum at 4. Though it is easier to deal with when they are older.

Dd1 was a whingebagging tantrumer but as we got older we called it the cross feeling In her tummy that you couldn't do anything about, and she would go off (be place carefully) to her room to calm down and then have a cuddle.

I think O is a tantrumer but at the mo we just ignore him.

Busy day yest, ikea and then doing some flat packing and sort out in DS1s room.

Today is school uniforms Sad

PetiteRaleuse · 27/08/2014 11:06

I've caught everyone's cold. DD1 was well enough to go to nursery this morning at least. Wouldn't have believed it she was quite poorly yesterday. I wish we could bounce back so quickly.
