I do that with a wee too. J has been in pull ups for ages as they are more comfy for his tum.

Wow Pikz, big footed indeed!

Pikz · 21/08/2014 21:18

Thank you.... Pull ups it is :)

Pr I agree it's all autumnal!

ValiumQueen · 21/08/2014 21:32

The sizing of the Poundland crocs are a bit out. Always best to take the foot with you I find. They actually lasted better than genuine crocs.

ValiumQueen · 22/08/2014 03:45

Up twice and then up for the day at 3am. Sleep is for wimps.

Lily311 · 22/08/2014 04:41

exactly vq. up numerous times than she came in bed with me. but I went back to hers as she was snoring. glad I went for a normal size single bed instead of a toddler one.

Pikz · 22/08/2014 06:44

Lily and Brew and toast?

Pikz · 22/08/2014 08:16

And VQ that was supposed to say!

StuntNun · 22/08/2014 08:30

J was up all night too. Hmm He ended up in our bed so I went and slept in his bed. Cold? Teething? Who knows?

Sorry about crap nights.

I have swum 20 lengths this morning. Only did 15 or so on Wednesday so am quite pleased.

I had the whole pool to myself for the first 10 minutes then some utter arseholes came in and started using my lane. 8 other lanes to use but no, they had to use mine.

So I switched and they made really loud sarcastic comments about me switching. Oooh, we must smell type comments.

But FFS. Who does that? I like to have a lane to myself if I can because without my glasses I don't see people coming and can't swim straight when on my back. AIBU to think that if you're jumping into a pool with one other person in it you don't jump into their lane?

Wankers.

However it was nice after a while not to be alone as having three lifeguards stood watching just me was a tad intimidating. I don't even know if they were cute or not, or even if they were all men actually, as I didn't have my glasses on Grin

Donnadoon · 22/08/2014 09:39

Bless you PR without your glasses must make you feel very vulnerable , Wankers indeed !

GTbaby · 22/08/2014 14:38

Gutted.
A has been at nursry this week in mornings. So he has been so tiered he sleeps from 12-2.30. Bliss. Today he was in long enough in morning for a 1hour nap. He is usually tiered when we go in so thought it was a good idea. Well Fml. He now won't nap! I'm so tiered and had enjoyed the after noon naps with him as it is at same time as H.

Pr should have told him he did stink. Totally out of order

Wandathewindfairy · 22/08/2014 14:41

pr YANBU that is not the correct swimming Lane etiquette. I encountered same bad manners here the other week. My response was head down blinkers on front crawl paying particular attention to leg work iyswim.

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/08/2014 18:43

I too swim without my glasses on pr. Sometimes I have contacts in but quite rarely. I have to know the pool really well. Why someone would want to use the same lane as you is beyond me. swim wankers!

Elizadoesdolittle · 22/08/2014 19:52

E's new words today are "goose" and "peck" after a goose tried to get the bread out of her hand and ended up pecking her cheek!

Kyz · 22/08/2014 20:06

Evening all! Quiet day today. I am tucked up in bed on my laptop, my ankle is still killing me and I am knackered anyway I figured I might aswell come up to bed. Dp is in early this week so has been gone by 7 or so and I just can't be bothered to do anything other than slob about this evening

vq I will make sure I take the foot with me :)

sorry there were shit nights had :(

PR What utter utter fucking cocklodging cuntwombles!!!! Bastarding flappyshitted twatknackers! I'd have been royally fucked off can you tell

Oh no gt do you think it's a one off? Not that he's decided not to nap in the day surely?

bless her eliza :)

Passmethecrisps · 22/08/2014 20:30

Hello!

Bloody hell other people's children are knackering Smile

Fab to be back though.

P has been a total champion superstar with her first week full time childcare. Full of stories and fun when she gets home. Totally pooped though - it has been hard to wake her every morning.

I am not a swimmer pr but DH is and is very short sighted so swims without specs. He for many years was the swim support for a friend who was completely blind and the rudeness he encountered was astonishing. He used to do a very loud countdown to ensure that people were aware what was happening but they still encountered some incredible shitty behaviour

Passmethecrisps · 22/08/2014 20:32

I should explain the countdown bit - as our friend was reaching the wall DH would count in feet how far he was from the edge

ValiumQueen · 22/08/2014 20:47

PR can you source some prescription goggles? I used to have some and they were great. Could do with getting some more actually.

PetiteRaleuse · 22/08/2014 21:23

I could but they are vvv expensive. Have been hoping to move back to contacts and wear normal goggles or just half shut my eyes. I used to scuba dive in contacts which included letting water into mask etc. So that could work.

StuntNun · 22/08/2014 22:09

I'm so cross with 'D'H. He went out for the afternoon with his brother, planning to come back here for dinner and to hang out in the evening then for his brother to stay over. The kids have spent the afternoon asking when their uncle is arriving and me saying soon. Now the kids are long in bed and the two of them still aren't back. I've just had a big row with 'D'H on the phone because I've had a spectacularly shitty few days while he leaves for work early, gets home late then goes out drinking for eight hours. He doesn't even understand why I'm upset. Apparently sending a text at 5:30 saying they might not make it back for dinner was supposed to inform me that they weren't coming back until 11. What an arsehole. I've bolted all the doors and left a bag of clothes, his razor and his toothbrush on the doorstep.

misslaughalot · 22/08/2014 22:59

Oh Stunt I'd be royally cross if that was me too. We're you supposed to read his mind?

Have I missed a link to a new thread? Don't want to kill this one off (although I'd LOVE to!) if there isn't a link yet...

misslaughalot · 22/08/2014 23:00

OMG baby brain...

Yes, yes I know a thread is full at 1000 messages, not 500.

I'm going to bed...

GTbaby · 22/08/2014 23:03

Kyz he fell asleep at 4 until 6. Not good at all. But he was upset at 4. So decided to let him sleep.

So if he sleeps for an hour at 10am afternoon nap is at 4. He has (accidentally) done this a few times. So what do I change? No nap at 10 when he is at nursery makes for a very grouchy A by lunch and he won't eat properly. He wakes at 6. Sleeps at 7.

Not sure what to try

GTbaby · 22/08/2014 23:05

Stunt I wouldn't have the guts to put a bag of FH stuff on door step. Stunt is my new role model

Lily311 · 22/08/2014 23:21

stunt my new hero. Let us know how it turned out.

Watched Mamma Mia in theatre, didn't realise it was in Hungarian. Bahaha. Thought of pr when the school bag in hand song came on, I don't think I can ever listen to it without having your DD1's picture in my mind.

Going to read than sleep. No O, so hopefully I get a solid couple of hours. Running the half marathon tmrw eve.
