Fuck that Wanda GrinGrinGrin

Elizadoesdolittle · 20/08/2014 21:19

Hello all, am bloody knackered. Spent the day at Alton Towers, or I should say cbeebies land. Was great fun and girls loved it. The in the night garden ride was a big hit with E. She kept dancing in the queue when the dancing music came on.

I'm due on 2nd Jan so quite away yet although it's coming round far too quickly for my liking. Still have moments of panic but also having moments of excitement so getting there! I am really struggling with names this time round. How you getting on with name choices yw?

ValiumQueen · 20/08/2014 21:20

Serious head on now, giving up sugar is a very very good thing for your health and general being

GTbaby · 20/08/2014 21:21

Had a fab day. Went to Windsor then went on the duck tour. Which H didn't like. Said finish finish finish constantly. Came home and we had a nap from 2to 5.30 lol it was lovely cuddling sleepy baby in bed Grin

But it meant boys only went to sleep at 9. And drove pil nuts while they tried to watch their news. Wink

Right I'm off to eat. Will catch up later.

StuntNun · 20/08/2014 21:24

Is it I Quit Sugar Wanda? I just looked it up on Amazon and it sounds quite good. I don't eat much sugar though, apart from a bit of 85% chocolate every now and then so maybe it wouldn't be suitable but a sugar-free cheesecake recipe could be handy so long as it isn't stuffed full of artificial sweeteners.

We survived.

Evening all.

Hope Pass has also survived back at work?

Bugger to lost clothing. F posted my new razor in the bin. I know this, because she told me, then mimed it. After the binmen had been Angry

Ttc on hold here owing to total lack of sleep in recent weeks. And F snaffled my mums empty probiotic yoghurt drink bottle this morning, hoping it contained bubblemix, only to be caught downing the last dregs Confused so am less than optimistic about tonight. By my reckoning, I have about 2 hours before the shit hits the fan.

DH keeps dashing to the loo. He's banished to the spare room. I am enjoying a bed to myself, and listening to the owls.

YellowWellies · 20/08/2014 21:37

Eliza I think we're sorted for names actually. Have also got hospital bag packed. Everything bought too. Just need to sort out the newborn clothes under the bed but think I'm going to task DH with that post birth once we know if its a boy or girl as we've got enough neutral newborn stuff to last a few days. Just need to decorate our bedroom!

Elizadoesdolittle · 20/08/2014 22:07

Oh god yw. You put me to shame. I have so much to do. I think this baby will be bought into a chaotic household. Luckily it won't have a clue!

GTbaby · 21/08/2014 00:05

Oh no. I've got the shivers. You know when you are cold and achy all over. Not good at all. Have popper a couple pills. Am in bed early Shock 12early?!? Hoping a good night sleep will sort me out. Confused Please please please let today be the day A sleeps all the way through and then some more.

Luckily no. By hook or by crook all my children have daytime naps till they are 3. Though from about 2 or so I start to cut them down. So maybe one day in the week with no nap say, Monday, and then Tuesday to Friday they have 1hour, then a longer nap at the weekend. That is just an example. They have all been good sleepers you see and there is a fair few months where they do need to start cutting out the nap but can't get through without one. These are hard days which is why I cut it down slowly.

Yeah, pennie I can imagine you do need that time. Are you working with a toddler In the house? I tried that and found it pretty impossible. Is there anyway you could get so e help a couple of days a week? Just to give you room to think.

StuntNun · 21/08/2014 08:00

How was your night BigPig? I hope you got some sleep.

When are you due Eliza? Have you told the girls yet? When we were expecting J, DH and I took DS1 and DS2 to Build-a-Bear to make a teddy for the new baby. I also made t-shirts for them (just on the printer) as presents from J. DS2's said "I'm the big brother" and DS1's said "I'm the bigger brother (it means I'm in charge!)"

We're gearing up for the return to school next week. Today is haircuts and collecting DS2's school uniform then I'll have to figure out what other bits and pieces they need: folders, pens, bags, lunch boxes etc.

Wah to nap dropping, sounds horrendous. I had stopped napping by this age, apparently. Thank goodness F isn't like me in that respect.

I think Eliza is due in the new year, Stunt. Love the t-shirt idea.

F woke at 4 but settled instantly when she had a cuddle, and woke as bright as a button at 7. DH has been up all night with d&v though, bleurgh.

Off to the post office for ebay sellings, then have a veritable mountain of washing to get through. Hopefully will get pictures back up on the walls in the dining room too. May just have another Brew first, anyone else in?

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/08/2014 09:25

Yep correct bplp. Due on 2nd Jan. Yes I've told girls. DD1 was/is extremely excited. E doesn't have a clue! I have a couple of books about new baby's and she rubs my tummy and says baby but I don't think she really gets it. I like the t-shirt ideas. DD1 will deffo be in control.

Lily311 · 21/08/2014 10:59

We had a better night, I got rid of the cot this morning and just using her big bed with a bed guard. Let's hope it will work.
I can't drop the nap yet, she needs it really as much as I need a break. 1,5 weeks till nursery starts!!

YellowWellies · 21/08/2014 13:00

Pennie J has dropped his nap most days. He only naps if we happen to be out and about in the buggy at nap time and he got up before 8am. He sleeps through from 8-8 most days so I'm cool with that. He's also very contented to amuse himself and play with his train set or books so I can get stuff done around him, which is a nice change. Also we finally seem to be coming out of the other side of his separation anxiety - now when I leave for work he gives me big kisses and a cuddle and is usually ok, and if at bedtime it's not the parent he wanted putting him to bed i.e. if it's DH not me, he no longer freaks out unless he's really tired. I'm glad that's over as it felt awful when he rejected me for DH (quite rare) and I felt really sad for DH when J would want me at bedtime and not his Dad, as he doesn't get to see him as much during the day.

PetiteRaleuse · 21/08/2014 14:34

Bonjour la quiche.
Busy busy here so just marking my spot.

misslaughalot · 21/08/2014 14:57

Afternoon all, I think I'm the next one due after YW, Nov 14th. Had the test for GD this morning so we'll see how that turns out. Also had a scan to estimate the likely weight of baby at due date and it's currently tracking the 90th centile, 3lb 3oz already (at 28 weeks) they reckon. I'm really leaning towards an ELCS for this one after my EMCS with O. Still have a few weeks to decide though.

Have purchased a slow cooker (or rather used my Tesco vouchers to get a free one). Hoping to get to know how to use it so that when baby is here I can chuck stuff in it in the morning and by tea time there'll be a good meal for both O, me and DP without having to spend too much time in the kitchen. There's a good slow cooker thread on MN at the moment and I've joined a FB group too. Any other slow cooker users on the thread?

Wandathewindfairy · 21/08/2014 15:19

Lol I have just joined a slow cooker fb group recently miss I am really hoping to use mine more this winter.

BigPigLittlePig · 21/08/2014 19:09

F in bed, phew. I'm too tired to cook so am having weetabix instead, in my pjs. The weather has turned the past few days, it's feeling almost autumnal.

Elizadoesdolittle · 21/08/2014 19:51

miss slow cookers really come into their own when you have a baby. I will be using my slow cooker tuns in the winter. It really is a life saver. just got to remember to do it bright and early.

Girls in bed after a lovely day out. I am sitting with my feet up whilst DH prepares a lamb feast. Have cheese from the local village cheese shop for nibbles after if I have room. I always have room for cheese.

Kyz · 21/08/2014 20:02

Evening quiche! Gave up on the shoe hunt and went and got him another pair. Clark's will bankrupt me if i'm not careful! He is a size 8F now. Big footed monster, that one! Monster indeed, today has mostly been one of squeals and tantrums :( Struggling some days. He can be lovely some days and a real handful or two on others.

VQ I haven't bought e any wellies since his first pair, which are a size 6 so definitely won't fit now Blush. Thanks for the heads up on £1 crocs, might stock up on them if I can, he costs me a fortune in footwear so can use these as slippers. I expect the mitten is with e's shoe, yes, I can quite imagine a nice party of odds and sods hiding away, never to be found again!

oooh sounds like you had a fab day yesterday eliza :D Bet the 2nd Jan is going to come flying round!

glad you had a good day too yesterday gt :)

TTC still on, only AF is present so clearly am not yet updiffed. Am also grumpy as fuck, but then that is to be expected!

yw check you out being all organised :) fab stuff!

oh no gt hope you feel better soon!

nap dropping doesn't sound much fun at all, I don't envy those who are struggling through nap dropping times one bit :(

glad you had a better night last night lily

hey pr

hope the results are ok miss :) I have a slow cooker, the only thing i've done in it so far is schwartz sausage and bean casserole Blush and i replaced the kidney beans with kidney beans in chilli sauce, it's really lovely but I could definitely do with trying out some new things.

I agree bp it's gone right nippy at night time!

Pikz · 21/08/2014 20:07

Silly question but when you take a pull up off for a poo what happens?

PetiteRaleuse · 21/08/2014 20:10

It's cold here too. V autumnal. Loving it.

Wandathewindfairy · 21/08/2014 20:20

pikz you lie them down and rip the sides and deal as usual xx
