Wandathewindfairy · 11/07/2014 21:41

Yes, I think lots of love to our kyz required Thanks

Passmethecrisps · 11/07/2014 21:43

kyz is such a total superstar. She has such a lot on and never complains other than gently then she apologises!

izzybizzybuzzybees · 11/07/2014 21:43

pass that made me laugh.

I'm oh so naive and innocent and have never even tried a cigarette never mind anything else... Legal or otherwise.

pr storm sounds amazing... As does cheese! And wine!

vq I'm fine. There are a new family who have moved in across the road. They're not my kind of people but unfortunately one of the sons is in e's nursery class. I overheard the mum shouting, overheard is the wrong word in fact as she was screaming with her front door open... "ya fucking better no have hen, ya dirty black BASTARD!" That is very much not my kind of person.... Yesterday I ended up with 6 kids in the garden, which is teeny, and one of them is plain even. Tipped J's little times car over... With him in it. Went to reverse over J and then started digging my plants. Not happy!

Passmethecrisps · 11/07/2014 21:46

Sounds awful izzy. If the kids got along I would be willing to ignore the mum's behaviour but if your kids are getting roughed about I would tell them not to come back. Horrid.

And that story is 100% true.

BigPigLittlePig · 11/07/2014 21:53

I once tries to smoke, worst smoker evwr.

And therein ends my foray into, well, stuff.

Didn't even get to sample a nice bit of heroin during childbirth Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 11/07/2014 21:55

And ditto, izzy. Dsd once had a "friend" over for tea who behaved similarly to that boy, she hasn't been welcomed back since. And what the mum said is pretty Sad too.

Wandathewindfairy · 11/07/2014 21:58

Time to get a gate izzy that shuts.

PetiteRaleuse · 11/07/2014 21:59

By heroin you mean morphine? I got that after my stomach surgery. Hated it. Preferred the pain. The Drs said, you're not clicking your morph enough. And clicked it. And I went into hallucinations of various family members bouncing on my abdomen.

I refused it after that. The hallucinations made it hurt more. After the ELCS they said you have 3g of paracetamol a day. That's it. Or do you want morphine.

Erm, no thanks. Never again. Paracetamol is my pain killer of choice forever.

izzybizzybuzzybees · 11/07/2014 22:14

The gate shuts but the fence around my garden is very low. Maybe a metre high... So they can all stand and watch me so I feel bad not letting them in!

BigPigLittlePig · 11/07/2014 22:18

Nope, diamorphine - slightly different and drug of choice for many an iv drug user. I was just curious to know what the fuss is about!

StuntNun · 11/07/2014 22:35

I didn't get on with diamorphine BigPig, it made me feel really nauseous on the two occasions I have had it. With DS1 they wouldn't take the drip out until I had finished my morphine so I sat pressing the button over and over until it was all gone, just to get rid of the drip. After that I was on two paracetamol every six hours and that was still preferable.

Tomorrow will be fine Wanda, just a big day out for everyone so long as you know which areas to avoid. The news tends to give the impression that all the parades are contentious and prone to conflict but most go perfectly smoothly year after year. I was quite surprised when I moved to Northern Ireland to find that the Falls and the Shankill Roads were ordinary streets with shops and houses on. All I had ever seen on the news just wasn't representative.

Also sending hugs to kyz. Am also sure she is managing brilliantly. I hope she sleeps after last night's events.

DD1 has had an on off temp the last few evenings. Calpoled her this evening but she just woke up, panicked after a nightmare. 39.8. Can't calpol her again yet. No nurofen in the house so can't get it that way. Says she is having bobo everywhere, pointing to neck and shoulders. Shivering like she'd been caught in the rain. Looks like flu or fluey cold.

DD1 is so rarely ill other than the pneumonia and flu last year, this year has been v easy. It scares me more when she feels ill and complains about it than it should, iyswim.

PetiteRaleuse · 11/07/2014 23:05

No sign of a stiff neck btw. Just sore.

Passmethecrisps · 11/07/2014 23:14

Poor wee thing. I hope it is one of those random things and passes quickly

PetiteRaleuse · 11/07/2014 23:57

Probably. Going to be a loooong night.

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2014 05:50

Oh PR I do hope you all got some healing sleep x how is she?

Sad I missed all the drug talk.

5.20 this morning. Not too bad, but would have liked another hour or two.

Hugs to Kyz

Pikz · 12/07/2014 06:15

Morning

Big hugs to Kyz

Hope your ok PR and everyone got some sleep

Bought of insomnia here Hmm

PetiteRaleuse · 12/07/2014 06:31

I gave her more Calpol at 3 but she has slept since then.

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2014 06:50

Have you though?

PetiteRaleuse · 12/07/2014 08:43

Yes I slept from about 3-7.

She still has a temp, is coughing quite a bit. Am assuming flu. Feeling v sorry for herself. But breathing ok.

Lazy day at home therefore planned. The only chore I have to do is collect some dry cleaning. Wish I'd done it yesterday but I spent most of the day watching old BBC programmes. Their international app is excellent.

LO is "helping" DH put the new bed together :o

Wandathewindfairy · 12/07/2014 08:50

Glad you got a snooze pr however minuscule. Hope she perks up today.

We are out for a slap up breakfast before the festivities begin. Who knows how long it will be before we get some sustenance in some random field Confused

O is terrorising the cafe, I am leaving DH to manage him. Grin I do it all week.

Yesterday he was whining asking for a "speeee ad" On and on and on. I didn't know what he was talking about until I realised. Spade. Said just like daddy. I'm not going to be able to understand my own son am I?

BigPigLittlePig · 12/07/2014 08:57

I am blaming all you pregnant ladies for my baby-riddled dreams. On the flip side, I dreamt one of you (perse?) was having twins Grin

ValiumQueen · 12/07/2014 09:43

Wanda at least Daddy can interpret for you. As an English couple living in Haggis Land we sometimes struggle understanding our kids. Thankfully DD1 is bilingual Wink

Elizadoesdolittle · 12/07/2014 10:12

pr I know what you mean. My DD1 is rarely ill too so when she is it tends to come in full force. Hope she is on the mend today.

wanda I love a slap up breakfast, enjoy. I did have chocolate crossiants this morning though, yum.

Am also thinking of kyz and little E.

E is currently watching ben and holly whilst eating a packet of skips Blush

Off to bluewater to find a leaving present for the nursery teacher. Had DD1S final report yesterday. My favourite line was "A is a very physical child with lots of energy". Then it's off to her swimming lesson and after dropping the kids off at the in laws me and DH are off up town for my sis and bro in law shin dig. DH is playing golf today so hopefully that will lighten his mood about going out tonight.

Have a good day everyone.

BigPigLittlePig · 12/07/2014 11:44

This mornings hit = cinnamon danish pastries, made in about 20 mins, eaten in about 5 Blush
