Sounds like a great day all round Apple Grin

Off to London on the train tomorrow. Dh, ds1 and grandma are going to the theatre while Dan and I pootle about for a couple of hours before meeting them for an early tea.

Tugstonia · 01/09/2014 09:59

Glorious I'm so sorry to read your news about your mum :( Sending her get well wishes and hope you and your family are holding up. Flowers Is she starting treatment soon? Would love to see you and E again sometime soon if you have time. Think I can get a train to Ladywell from my new place.

DD has been sick the last two nights and been doing beige poos (sorry tmi). She's never had a tummy bug before so this is all new to me (other than clearing up sick in the car). Poor lamb. She seems ok during the day, just at night. She's v snotty so wondering if it's all the snot making her ill? Anyway sorry, WAY too much info in that paragraph.

Still got two weeks to wait before my scan... I'd forgotten how bloody slowly the first trimester goes! Still don't really feel remotely pregnant so worried there'll be nothing there when the scan finally does come around.

Sounds like a fun weekend apple and Juniper. We had a family BBQ at ours and the sun shone!

Hope everyone's doing well :)

AppleCrumples · 01/09/2014 13:47

Poor Dd tugs. Wierdly Ivy has been doing v loose beige poos since yesterday. Ughh I don't cope well with sick at all :( Shes really whingey and a little off her food too.

glorious · 02/09/2014 07:49

Thanks everyone. She's having an operation on Saturday (impressively) and we should know more after that.

Sounds like a London-and-Kent meet up is on the cards then. Can't remember what days you work tugs, are Fridays any good? I have a feeling you do at least a half day but not sure. And what suits you juniper ? Actually as juniper is coming from further out it might work better if we go for somewhere vaguely in the middle. Not sure where that would be, though. juniper what do you think?

tugs sorry to hear about DD, hope she improves soon. Not what you want to be dealing with while pregnant. Glad you're feeling ok anyway, even if it is a bit surreal. Hope Ivy doesn't go the same way...

lollipoppi · 02/09/2014 16:57

Hi all, just catching up after a hellish few weeks

Glorious so sorry about your mums news, I will be thinking of you for the op on Saturday

Tugs & apple how's your DDs now?

3 weeks ago ds1 was admitted to hospital with his asthma, think I told you about this, then last weekend DD got admitted to hospital after a docs appt for a viral wheeze, had to have oxygen and Nebs overnight

Then yesterday dd fell out of the back door and landed on her head, on concrete Shock she was ok for a few hours then went really sleepy and started to be sick, went to a&e where she was still vomiting, so they had to sedate her and give her a CT scan Hmm very upsetting. All was ok but they kept her in over night and we got home about an hour ago as she was still very sleepy today and vomited this morning, she ok now, just sleepy.

So after 3 weeks of being in the hospital I shall be having a very LARGE vino tonight and going to bed at 7pm!

JuniperTisane · 02/09/2014 18:24

Shock Oh Lolli poor dd and DS1! What a rough few weeks you have had. Make it a very large glass of Wine.

Glorious I think its easier for me to come into London isn't it? I can just jump on the train to either Charing Cross, or St Pancras and wing it from there. I can do approximately every other friday if that helps? Anyone else closeish want to play?

MsBug · 02/09/2014 21:12

Lolli poor you, sounds like an awful few weeks!

Glorious I hope the op goes well for your mum.

Back at work today after two weeks off, no one had covered my work in my absence so came back to a massive backlog Sad

AppleCrumples · 02/09/2014 21:46

Wow lolli Thanks poor you and your LOs. Hopw you have a lovely rest now and a boring time! Wine

glorious thinking of you and your mum on sat. Hope all goes well.

tugs how is dd?

Ivy seems better (well poo solid again). The little nutter spent the afternoon dancing madly around andthrowing herself off the sofa.

Back to school tomorrow, just hoping I can get them all out on time! Dd1 has an eye infection again so will need to go in at lunch to do her eye drops...oh the joys!

Birdies · 03/09/2014 08:50

Hi everyone? Just been trying to catch up. tugs congratulations on your news!!

glorious sorry to hear about your mum, hope her operation goes well and she gets some more positive news.

lolli that sounds awful. X fell onto concrete a few days ago, it looked like the front of her head took the full force of it. Thankfully she was ok but it was really scary at the time and I had to keep an eye on her for the next few days. Glad your DD has been checked out and is on the mend. By the way, how do you manage with all the hospital stays you must have to do with DS1, you must get hardly any sleep having to be on a ward with him overnight? I'm just curious as we have to take DD1 in if she gets very poorly (due to an underlying condition) but have avoided it so far. She's starting preschool this week though so likely to pick up all sorts.

The photos of all your babies are gorgeous, they've grown so quickly compared to the last set of pics. I will find a recent one of X. Not much to update on, she's unbelievably active now doing roly polys, jumping, walking around on her tip toes, spinning round and round and falling over. I wish I had her energy. She's eating 2 weetabix plus a banana for breakfast, plus some of mine. I might try the weetabix myself it's meant to be good for energy isn't it?!

Does anyone know when we're meant to give them a pillow and duvet? How do they keep it on though when they wriggle about so much?

Birdies · 03/09/2014 08:52

I meant "hi everyone!" Not "hi everyone?" makes me sound nervous Grin

meringue33 · 03/09/2014 10:34

Hi Birdies! Glad you guys are doing well you've been MIA for ages Grin

Hope all the poorly children are getting better. How's your mum Glorious?

I am very grumpy and tired this morning. LO woke up absolutely screaming the house down in the night. Inconsolable. After much to do and turning on all the lights, it was eventually discovered the root of the problem was a hair in his mouth Hmm

lollipoppi · 03/09/2014 12:30

Apple hope the 1st school run went ok?
Ds1 started pre-school today, just for a few hours but he loved it

DD is doing ok, she slept from 6.30pm-8.15am and has had another hour since, I'm hoping she's sleeping herself better.

Birdies, I think I'm just used to it, ds1 has had 27 hospital admissions now since being 9months old. It's very tiring but I "sleep" in a bed next to him. The thing is with his condition is he requires oxygen and nebulisers all night so the machine alarms are always going off.

It helps that the staff are lovely and we know them quite well now so sometimes they put us in a room of our own rather than on a ward if they're not busy
Hoping your DD keeps well and you don't have too many hospital visits

Birdies · 03/09/2014 21:25

Glad she's doing ok lolli, it must have been so scary when they said they wanted to scan her. Hope she's even better now. Can't believe how many times you've had to go in. We had several weeks in when DD1 was born and I ended up with a bit of a phobia of hospitals and the childrens ward. Managed to keep her away from there so far but if she gets a stomach bug we'd probably have to go in. She started preschool today as well so I'm guessing that it's more likely now she'll get something. Glad your DS enjoyed it as well. I wasn't needed at all, just sat there!

meringue that made me laugh! Very sweet!

Hope the eye drops are working ok apple

I will try and post more often, I kind of get out of the habit!

Birdies · 03/09/2014 21:27

Here's a recent photo of X (just before I cut her fringe too short)

jan 2013- No, I will not have a new nappy
OohQuack · 03/09/2014 21:52

Look at her curls, i love them! Ive always been a straight hair girl but as soon as dexter showed signs of curls i cant help myself :-D

So me n dp had the 'next kid' chat he politely mentioned women have a biological clock i said we can wait til dexters about four.

Very worried about my cat, she has really poorly eyes, we see the vet eye dr tomorrrow, best case we have a one eyed cat, worst case we have no cat :(

AppleCrumples · 03/09/2014 22:14

lolli first school run not too bad. Made it on time but messed up arrangements for free school meals in infants and dd1 nearly ended up with 2 lunches!

Despite being on anti biotics and eye drops her eye still looks bad poor thing. She has a cyst which keeps getting infected.

Was very quiet here once dcs were at school, have cleaned and tidied like mad.

Ivy causing trouble though as she seems to be really sensitive and easily upset. She cried all evening for various reasons ie. I took a book off her to eat dinner, told her not to hit ds1 etc. Wondering if maybe she was a little unwell and shes tired??

birdies so cute, lovely hair. Need to get ivy to hairdresser again as her fringe is constantly in her eyes!

JuniperTisane · 04/09/2014 21:10

Dan had me up last night, he was so hot he was shaking, a few dirty nappies today and Calpoled up to the max. Fingers crossed its just a 24hr bug, we're going away tomorrow for the weekend.

Preschool starts again next week. Can't wait.

OohQuack · 05/09/2014 21:56

How was he? It was hopefully a stomach bug, i feel like that if ive eaten something funny, after its out my system im fine.

My cat was pts today :( the vet rang in the middle of her op while i was at tiny talk so i turned into a crumbly mess :(

OP posts:
Tugstonia · 06/09/2014 13:12

How are all the poorly little ones? Hope they're all on the mend Flowers DD is fine now.

Glorious thinking of you and your mum today. Hope the op goes well.
I do work half days on Fridays but if I know a bit in advance I can block out the afternoon and take the day off. Charing Cross is good for me, we could meander around the South Bank maybe? Can't do the next two Fridays but freeish after that. Let me know when's good for you and Juniper.

Quack so sorry about your cat :(

Here's a recent one of DD with a balloon we got free at a sofa shop - she didn't let go of it all day and took it to bed with her Grin

jan 2013- No, I will not have a new nappy
MsBug · 06/09/2014 13:35

So sorry about your cat, quack.

Ours had to go to the vet today and needs dental work which will cost a few hundred quid.

Dp gave dd her first haircut today. Her fringe is a bit short and wonky but I think it looks cool in an edgy, Scandinavian kind of way Grin

Hope the poorly ones are all feeling better today.

Dd has an olive addiction, she had a few with her lunch and then refused to eat anything else, screaming and pointing at the olive jar and shouting 'more!'

OohQuack · 06/09/2014 22:47

Tugs your balloon story/photos made me grin!

My friend whos been trying to get pregnant for about 4 yrs got the two lines today, shes over the moon, im very excited, ive been sworn to secrecy, but she should have known better than to tell me!!

OP posts:
Tugstonia · 08/09/2014 17:55

Quack that's wonderful news for your friend!! :) :) V exciting.

How is everyone? Glorious any news on your mum?

Hope all the LOs are all better now.

JuniperTisane · 08/09/2014 19:32

Sorry about your cat, Quack.

tugs meandering along the south bank is a good idea and easy too. Will have to work out which Fridays I'm free and go from there. Dan likes balloons too.

Just back from a ling weekend in the Peak District. Went blackberrying and dan ate far too many while on Daddys back. We should habe stopped him after half a dozen as he had wicked colicky tummy ache all evening. Screaming and terribke nappies with undigested fruit working its way straight out within a few hours. Coming after a dodgy tummy a couple of days prior his bottom was very very sore with nasty nappy rash. Poor little bugger. Hes fine now though.

Took the boys to Alton Towers cbeebies land. Dan poved it. DS1 hated it and cried when we tried to persuade him to have a go on the Postman Pat ride. We left after 2 hours and spent the rest of the afternoon at a local petting farm instead. Much happier. Ds1 has been invited to a friends party at a local theme park. Hes going to be miserable so I guess we're declining that one.

Rambling on as just got wifi back. I spent the best part of 3 days without 3g or wifi which was great but now the boys are I bed im declaring myself off duty and catching up with everything online.

JuniperTisane · 08/09/2014 19:35

MsBug Scandi hair sounds cool. Dans isnt ling eniugh to trim yet. Don't think he'd sit still long enough.

Glorious hope your mum is doing ok Flowers

OohQuack · 08/09/2014 21:22

We are planning to go cbeebies next year, how old is ds1 juniper? Actually i think its more for dp and me that we are going ;-)
