beans you poor love. Love can be bloody hard and crap at times can't it. You will have a lovely time with the big ones, got to love a sneaky cinema trip!

Any chance of you and dh carving some time out together soon? You need that too.

JamInMyWellies · 14/11/2014 09:53

Beans you poor thing. Fancy a cake and a gossip soon??

beans39 · 14/11/2014 16:00

Jammy, you're on... 27th?

Please don't think I'm all doom and gloom, am generally happy, just occasionally feel a bit swamped!

right, friends coming to stay tmw. need to make a pheasant casserole, spag bol and lemon posset and apple crumble. Eeek!

beans39 · 14/11/2014 20:06

Made all apart from apple crumble. I rock! and after I'd collected the kids, so multi-tasked myself into oblivion!

IAmAPaleontologist · 15/11/2014 07:32

You definitely rock!

i really need a poo Blush but ds2 who has been up half the night with a temp of 39+ is both a mortising l normal temp and asleep on me and i don't want to disturb him.

beans39 · 15/11/2014 07:51

oh no. if you're anything like me, the poo can't wait. aaagh. moral dilemmas.
I have a huge zit under my nostril. quite disgusting and rather painful.
DD3 had a huge and random puking episode last night, but is fine this morning and didn't repeat it at any stage. v odd. necked her milk this morning. she has learnt the word 'no', which is horrid. and dine in a shriek, not a normal tone of voice. bleugh.

IAmAPaleontologist · 15/11/2014 15:50

Eeek ds2's temp is now 39.9C

Am a wee bit scared of another febrile. Someone tell me to get a grip please.

Dh and I had a mass wrap of Christmas presents last night. All the dc's stuff wrapped and I have a box of general stocking fillers (crayons, note books and stuff). Have got the dcs to do their lists today to send up the chimney so I could just pick out a couple of things each for their stockings. Dd has gone and asked for a big white tiger and 5 little tigers (to go with her other big white tiger, dd likes families) and a net of butterlies. That's it. Thanks dd. Helpful. Ds is currently doing his and it is about a mile long including trousers, socks, t-shirts, jumpers.....and a sniper rifle.

JustRubes · 16/11/2014 00:15

I haven't caught up. Apart from earlier. My brother introduced me to piss fit recently. I did giggle. Thought I wasn't but have consumed Prosecco bottle plus I reckon another of wine tonight - in an evening with friends who are Muslim!!! Important to say, most of the alcohol was consumed before and after dinner. Impressed myself. Must spin in the morn. Or lard will manifest. Wish me luck.

JamInMyWellies · 16/11/2014 00:22

Paleo How is Ds2?

IAmAPaleontologist · 16/11/2014 08:43

grotty. On max doses of paracetamol and ibuprofen but his temp soars back up to 40 before the next dose is due. He does have a brief happy interlude just after a dose though.

IAmAPaleontologist · 16/11/2014 08:44

Have you spun rubes? brave woman.

Artichokes · 16/11/2014 13:10

I'm hungover too Rubes. We did a neighbourhood Secret Suppers event where you have each course at a different neighbour's house and you don't know who til the night. Fab time but cocktails plus sloe gin plus port makes me a nauseated Arti today.

Pali, I hope DS2 is feeling better.

Lady how is DD3? I hope she's more settled with the wind.

DS has learnt a new word: willie. He now has the following vocabulary: car, ball, throw, no!!!, uh-oh, more, food, milk and willie. Such a boy.

beans39 · 16/11/2014 15:11

Hee hee, Arti! DD3 has Mumma, Dadda, Chilli, No and Hello. and that's it. No has been recently added and it's not a welcome addition.

I managed not to be too hungover, but have discovered a new cocktail that could be the undoing of me. Aperol, prosecco and a splash of soda with ice. schamazing.

I ate too much of all the food I'd cooked!

DD3 up at 4.30am. DH and I on our knees.

paleo, how's DS?

Christmas presents wrapped???? I haven't even bought DD1's birthday presents yet!!! v jealous!

IAmDeids · 16/11/2014 20:01

Went out on Friday night with friends (5 of us). Managed to get through 9 bottles of white wine & prosecco. Felt piss fit at the time. Clearly not judging by the state of me yesterday Grin

Paleo how is DS today?

IAmDeids · 16/11/2014 20:04

Oh beans you would have been proud of DS yesterday! Went for a walk in the woods to clear my head. DS desperate for a poo! Dug a little hole and he promptly dropped one in the holeShockBlush. We had tissue but sadly no doggy bags to take it away!! Had to cover over with leaves. He is so amused by the whole thing. DH is traumatised! Grin

beans39 · 17/11/2014 06:29

Deids, love it!

beans39 · 17/11/2014 06:47

so, 4.20am two mornings in a row. thanks DD3. I am v tired. suspect bedtime at 8 o'clock tonight!

IAmAPaleontologist · 17/11/2014 09:11

Temp seems more stable yesterday and overnight thankfully. He is just really grotty and bursting into tears over everything. So he has gone to the childminder and we will keep fingers crossed. I would quite like tonight to be the night where he does his sleeping it off thing. Cuddly as he is I want a night without him thank you very much!

Beans hats off to you. How on Earth do you get up at that time? That isn't morning! Ds2 is/was a bit of an early riser but we are talking 5/5.30 which I can just about pretend is morning. He seems to have settled down a bit and be moving more towards 6 which is nice Hmm.

Right. Essay.

Honsandrevels · 18/11/2014 16:33

IAm I was in tk maxx at the weekend and there was a huge white tiger for sale! I didn't look at the price though. It was the size of a Labrador!

IAmAPaleontologist · 18/11/2014 18:52

Cheers. I got a big one form a local selling site (£2!) and I've ordered 2 little ones off Amazon. so that's that sorted.

Poor ds2 still horribly grotty. He has tonsilitis.

IAmAPaleontologist · 18/11/2014 20:07

ack. ds2 is spending most of hours time crying anyway and has decided he does NOT like the antibiotics. We've been trying bribery. East a sweet. Have a teeny tiny bit of medicine. Another sweet. More medicine. Another sweet. But even that isn't working. earlier he spat most of it out and tonight he just screamed so hard he threw up. Need antibiotics actually IN child for them to work i think.

I'll be missing am entire day of lectures tomorrow

ShadyLadyT · 19/11/2014 17:40

Indith, how on earth can one abbreviate your new name? Paleo? I might plump for that. I do hope things are on the improve, poor chap. It's such a strain when they are ill for all manner of reasons. Hey, hats off on the Christmas shopping!

On the piss fitness chat, one of my cricket players is from Brisbane and he introduced DP to the concept about 5 years ago so it is firmly part of the general parlance around here as a result.

I did like your DS's list of words, Arti Grin He covers all blokey bases there, doesn't he? Or once he adds 'beer' to the list anyway, and he will be set for life!

Sorry I have not been on. You can well imagine the whirl it's been around here. DD3 is now 7 wks and out of all her newborn clothes - sob. Plus she is smiling, though very stingy with them. All four of us are mad on her. The gaps between feeds are lengthening so I don't feel quite so bonkersly tired. Still in my specs rather than lenses though...and I don't think my plans to shed a stone before Christmas will come to pass Grin Maybe a half if I am lucky.

Rubes, are you glued to I'm a Celeb? I know you always watch as it makes you think of home. I have no such excuse, I just find it strangely restful. Also, Michael Buerk's in it and I think that is really interesting. I read the other day that the viewing figures are at an all time low so maybe its days are numbered.

Sorry you have been rowing with DH, Beans. I do know the feeling, DP and I have had a bumpy ride recently. Same old stuff about who does what!

DB, have you started your new job yet?

Hons, there was some stuff on the news about transplants (well, controversy really). I thought of you, did you hear about it?

My Mum is coming this weekend, which is fab. We have DP's Mum and her DH over Christmas. Champagne will get me through Hmm

I would love to have a big old gossip on here but I need to sort the girls' supper out. Chores, chores, chores!

beans39 · 20/11/2014 08:13

Lady, lovely post.
DD3 off to stay with my Mum for 4 days this morning. whilst I'm looking forward to the sleep, I'm really going to miss her terribly. she persistently follows me round the house saying maMA and it's v sweet. less so when I'm trying to get something done!
DH off tonight on a jolly, so it'll be magic to be with the big girls alone. they need a bit of my attention, I think.

lady, glad to hear the exhaustion is lifting somewhat. where has that 7 weeks gone?? DD3 is now 14 months. can't believe it!!! She's staggering around like a zombie, although crawling still her preferred mode of transport.

Honsandrevels · 20/11/2014 10:40

Wow impressive shopping Indith!

Beans It'll be lovely for your mum to spoil her smallest granddaughter while you get to spend time with the older ones. You'll get a bit more sleep too hopefully!

Lady That's gone v fast. Glad dd3 fits so well into the family. What was the transplant thing?

Doesn't your dp's step dad have strange eating habits? How will that fit into Christmas?!

If we want to go a secret Santa dh has offered to co-ordinate the emails and pull names out of a hat. Say if you're interested and I'll post the email address we used a few years ago.

I've had two doses of super concentrated iron and am feeling much better already. Hurray!

Artichokes · 20/11/2014 18:38

I'm up for secret santa! Will PM you Hons.

Glad all well with you Lady. Our last thread baby is seven weeks already. I wonder if we will ever have another (Kayz, ZJ, I think you girls may be our only hopes, what do you say?).
