Ooh Inge to start a new thread. So if the last one was the one where they don't sleep, then they'll start to sleep now, yes?

I go back to work next Weds Kitty. DS started properly today. Full day today, tomorrow and Friday. I've just done a lovely yoga class and am using the next few days to have lunches, get hair cut etc. miss DS though. Sad

pear definitely want to hear all TTC details! I'm beginning to accept that I will do it all again but not yet!

I'm considering the own-room move too. Or at least moving our room around a bit so he can't batter the neighbour's wall! Tis complicated though - we're in 1 of our 2 double rooms, the other is a dumping ground study/home-ed room & Calf's in the box room. The plan had been to get low bunk beds once Runt's big enough for a big bed & have them in together. Not sure there's another way to arrange our room either. I guess we could clear a bit of floor space in the 'study' & put the cot in there but it's not a very cosy room & it'd feel a bit like abandoning him without a proper bedroom!

Well done for reclaiming your space Frus! Enjoy having a room all to yourself when DD2 isn't there! Wink

Bring stay strong - it won't last forever!

AGnu · 03/10/2014 15:59

Do you think we could get away with something like this with a second mattress on the floor?

peardrop2 · 03/10/2014 16:15

Bring - is it M's molars? We've just had the bottom 2 (either side) pop up together and wow has it been hard. Bpear was up until 2am last night. He demanded to watch his fav video twice which was fun at midnight not!! Bonjela really helped us saved us last night. Lately I've only been giving Paracetamol and nurefen but a large dose of bonjela got him back to sleep last night TG! Sorry but I did smile when I read that you're not a milk fountain or whatever words you used Grin When bpear can't sleep in the day he will ask for milk and then have a meltdown when I walk away Hmm Their wills are crazy strong now!!

Agnu - Yes, I think that would work! Unless you needed a frame to attach a bed guard for runt?! Cute that they will have bunk beds. Can calf climb up and down that ladder?

News from me...I've finally brought some chalk paint to paint some furniture this weekend. So so so excited!! I just want to get it done now. I will be revamping my dining room chairs and table :-)

Still no test results! I rang the doctors and they said I need to wait longer Confused

Grin Drinking fountain and All you can eat buffet Grin These babies are really trying their luck Wink

Frus ~ how does it feel to have your own space again? Wink

AGnu · 03/10/2014 16:34

Calf doesn't currently have a bed guard, although he's barely more than mattress height off the ground at the moment. He's only ever fallen out a handful of times right after he first went in a proper bed. I'm hoping Runt will be the same. Calf was just having a 'rest' in his room... I went up to discover he'd opened the cupboard side of his wardrobe & used the bars underneath that used to support drawers before we confiscated them because he kept opening the child-locks & pulling them out onto his toes to climb up & pull all the things out of the cupboard. I don't think a purpose-designed ladder is going to be a problem for him! I only knew about it when I heard a thud followed by "I did have a little jump down from my ladder". His 'little jump' was approximately the height of the proposed new bed! Hmm

Maybe no news is good news wrt test results! Have some Cake while you wait! Grin

Frus, why did you let him in?! Tell him he has to take the DC somewhere else when he has them. I still want to come pelt him with rotten fruit. Pleeeeease?!

That's so frustrating that school haven't been listening to you. At least the wheels are in motion now so hopefully it won't be too long before she's getting the support she needs. How does a VPD typically affect people? It sounds like it'd have a broader range of issues than something like dyslexia.

Have some Wine & don't let DH over the threshold when he brings DD1 back!

Grin Frus

DH picked up DS on Friday and came home with the nursery baby room bear! He's new so we're the first ones to have him. He's pretty big too. You'd think they'd make him a bit more portable.

This whole concept is new to me. Didn't do it in Ireland when I was little. First I heard of it was seeing threads on here about them.

Oh Frus, that's really tough. Will she be working with OT then to help make those visual/processing connections stronger? Schools really are just so shitty aren't they? It's like f'ing institutions and they are all over the parents all the time to do volunteering and donate money and attend events but when there is something individual that the child needs, it's like they can't be bothered! Really wish I had the time/patience/experience to do homeschooling. I think I'm too selfish and really like my adult time!

I'm throwing long-distance rotten fruit out of my compost heap for you as well. winds up That's just cruel to jump in and act like the cool parent who will take her to the movies. Bastard Can you change the locks?

Agnu, looks like a good option. Boys are resilient, crazy little creatures. Sounds like something one of my crazies boys have done. Keep us updated on how it goes!

Fun Lor! I'm not really familiar with that whole process either. Does DS like the bear?

Awwwwh Pear, yes! That's exactly what we're going through. She has been waking up every 2 hours and when I give her her dummy back and wrap her up she freaks the F out! She must have one nipple in her mouth and the other in her hand in order to fall back to sleep(it's not fun, F'ing drives me INSANE to have my nipple fiddled, especially in the middle of the night Hmm ). She's been having a dose of ibuprofen before bedtime AND a dose of calpol when she wakes up the first time. You can see the bottom molar right under the gums and tbh it looks really painful. The second top one has the points coming through so we just have the last bottom one to start moving. Then we're on to the eye-teeth. Great. So I'm contemplating on either just moving a mattress on the floor and sleeping in her room until the teeth are done or ditching the cot and moving to the toddler bed and then I can just snuggle with her in there when it's a rough night. The CIO option is just not working. She literally screams and screams until I come in (she won't even let DH hold her, she freaks out even more), so it's not like having DH help out is helping b/c I can still just hear her from our room and I'm not getting any sleep that way either. This is so exhausting.

How is the TTC going, pear?

peardrop2 · 07/10/2014 14:23

Bring ~ I could be on 6 DPO...not 100% sure. I think that I am experiencing OV bleeding at CD 19 but who knows Wink

AGnu · 07/10/2014 21:08

Surely that's implantation bleeding pear? Grin I vote you start POAS tomorrow morning & keep doing it every morning & posting photos so we can all squint to see if there's a line! I really regret not doing that myself - every test I've taken when there's been any chance that I'm actually pregnant has shown a very clear second line within seconds. I wanna squint & watch the line getting darker over a few days!

bringonthetrumpets · 07/10/2014 21:16

LOL agnu!

Ooohhhh! Exciting! You could start testing in a few days!!

peardrop2 · 07/10/2014 22:18

The weekend at the very earliest. Need to test before going away. Feel like there is a 50/50 chance of getting AF on holiday Wink

Fingers/toes/legs crossed for you!

bringonthetrumpets · 08/10/2014 14:47

Ugh. So, been co-sleeping with the little one when she wakes in the middle of the night. Just put a mattress down on the floor and will snuggle up with her b/c it's just easier than doing 3x of CIO in the middle of the night right now. Getting semi-more sleep than listening to her whine and complain for most of the night.... although last night was not a good night. She was thrashing around all night. I got kicked in the face. She found the night light and got out of bed and took it out of the socket and chucked it at me Hmm (I think she's being passive aggressive for putting her in nursery yesterday?) and b/c she kept waking up, I kept having these f'ing ridiculous dreams. I had a dream that this thing that was like half sloth/half human kept trying to come in my house through the windows. Like it would stick it's weird creepy leg through the crack in the window and try to pry itself in and it was knocking on the windows whenever I'd go to a different room and smile and wave at me. YOU GUYS! IT WAS SO CREEPY! Blargh. Keep getting shivery whenever I think about it. WTF would my brain make up something like that?

I've had some odd dreams on some of DS' bad nights recently though that one is something special bring !

I had one where I was part of some kind of small resistance group in a town that was about to be attacked by the Big evil army. I knew I was an amazing fighter but we were hopelessly outnumbered and at some point I realised that we were going to die - which I didn't mind but didn't want it to hurt, which was a distinct possibility as we were fighting with swords and axes and things. Madness.
