Saw your pics eliza looked great :)

GTbaby · 31/05/2014 01:42

Perse ! How wonderful. Congrats. X

H wears size 6. And A is already on 4+! Fh likes them to have bigger nappies as he thinks they are a better fit. We only use pampers as fh refuses to try others.

Buying disposables on offer. Bringing them home and storing them is a pain. Asda have best offers and baby event is every 3 months so we stock up. For two babies that's a lot to store. We have never paid full price for nappies but its still loads! I wouldn't mind trying washables but not in mil house.

BigPigLittlePig · 31/05/2014 08:45

Today I could merrily stab dh in the face with a fork.

Angry

Thank god those shifts are done, have only had max of 5 hours sleep a night, and tonight was less again.

Congratulations to all our upduffed ladies Thanks

PurplePidjin · 31/05/2014 08:57

this morning we have had a poo on the rug and a wee on "his" patch of floor. he told me about both just before it happened but i didn't understand - silly mummy Wink

YellowWellies · 31/05/2014 09:19

Pidj oh no! Shock Shock Shock The puppy was bad enough!

PurplePidjin · 31/05/2014 10:46

despite getting the potty under him mid flow there was no wee in it. then he went again in the same place 5 minutes later. then he asked for the loo. then we came to my parents and he asked for the loo here too. but has yet to do a anything on an actual toilet. so getting there slowly.

accidents are fine! i have wood floors so v easy to clean. and i'm very proud of how well he's doing so far, all by himself with praise when he gets it right Grin

diggerdigsdogs · 31/05/2014 12:42

I'm feeling incredibly anxious. Just realised that I'm possibly ovulating and DH & I had a shag this morning.

AF is a bit all over the place atm so I'm not sure.

Shit.

I don't really want to be pg again.

PurplePidjin · 31/05/2014 13:42

morning after pill??

ValiumQueen · 31/05/2014 13:57

Morning after pill Digger. Better to be sure.

Passmethecrisps · 31/05/2014 14:50

Morning after pill for certain. Not sure about rest of uk but it is free in Scotland.

Passmethecrisps · 31/05/2014 14:51

We have been to ikea to buy things for school and p had her first ice cream from a cone!

diggerdigsdogs · 31/05/2014 14:57

Just checked, I can get MAP here (I'm in Sydney). Off to the Chemist tomorrow morning (which will be 24 hrs or so after DTD) so hopefully ok.

Thanks all

YellowWellies · 31/05/2014 15:11

Digger take it the quicker the better for most protection!

PetiteRaleuse · 31/05/2014 16:57

I am knackered. I used to love playing hostess, and my guests are lovely, but I'm knackered and don't know them well enough to really show it iyswim.

However they did bring a bottle of wine from 1980 which is currently decanting to go with tonight's dinner. Hope it's not turned into vinegar in the last 34 years :)

ValiumQueen · 31/05/2014 17:35

Wow PR. I look forward to hearing what it is like Grin

The £2 grocery challenge has been fine, indeed I now have £4.04 as I found some money in the car. Have spent £1.25. My mum invited us for lunch and sent us home with dinner, I had not mentioned anything to her - it just occurred to her that it might be appreciated. And when I went to buy the margarine from the local Spar, they were giving goody bags to the first 100 customers, and free sweets to the kids GrinGrinGrin

DH did crack into his pocket money for a Chinese last night, but we would have done ok without it. He just fancied one, and paid for it, so I didn't grumble.

YellowWellies · 31/05/2014 19:04

I think we're going to risk a dodgy Domino's tonight. I don't know why but the Dunfermline branch always gives us dodgy cuts - let's hope the Kirkcaldy one is better. The Oxford one never made me ill Confused

YellowWellies · 31/05/2014 19:05

Dodgy GUTS not cuts!

PetiteRaleuse · 31/05/2014 19:53

It's OK. Have had better and worse.

Trying to get the kids to bed so I can go too. Not much company tonight.

Passmethecrisps · 31/05/2014 19:58

I can give you some assurances yw that if the kdy dominos was a problem then every drama production, parents evening and any late night ever would result in massive staff absence!

DH is cooking tea and I am about to start reading 'How Not To Fuck Them Up'. I am preparing myself to be informed that we have done just that Grin

It has been a glorious day here weather wise and an enjoyable day. I spent a small fortune on boxes and pots for work in ikea then we bimbled around the garden. P only slept 40 minutes and has only just gone to bed so I hope she settles soon.

I too will be interested in the wine pr. I have a friend who was presented with a very old bottle of wine and great ceremony was made of it but after the fact she said it tasted good only after having had a few glasses. Fingers crossed that yours is nectar!

I am impressed with your budget skills vq. It does seem that lady lack has been on your side this weekend though which is well deserved! Is it tomorrow that you can get back to normal?

Today in Ikea I overheard this conversation happening behind us. It was a couple who were talking about P
Lady "oh look! Isn't she lovely?"
Chap "aye. She's a toot! Three guesses who's the boss in that house"
Lady "she just kens what she wants!"
Chap "aye! And I wouldnae like tae be the wallet who pairs for her!"

Blush

YellowWellies · 31/05/2014 20:12

Pass love that conversation snippet! Ta for the reassurance on my lard in a box order! Have weighed myself - I've put on a stone (much less than by 20 weeks with J!) so I deserve it right? Blush Hmm

We had a fab day. DH was packed off fishing this morn (to a total lack of protest!) whilst J, the dawg and I got the choochoo up the coast to go to my sisters playgroup's summer fayre. He had lots of fun eating ice lollies, playing in the dirt / wildlife garden and I got him a box of brio trains and track for £2 in the jumble sale Grin . Then home where he spent hours playing in the garden and walking round our block (in socks, sandals, hat and just a muddy vest - so classy!) with his toy pushchair saying "hiya" to everyone. Smile Smile Smile He is shattered!

Zamboni · 31/05/2014 20:39

Pass that's brilliant!

Good luck with your dominoes YW!

Lush day here. Took the train to the coast, went to a penguin zoo attraction thing, met some friends for lunch, had an ice cream with DD on the beach watching someone create a giant sand picture with a rake while S slept, train back. DD and S walked loads, were really well behaved and were just a joy to spend the day with.

Normally we just potter at home on a Saturday and wait for Sunday when DH is around, but they are increasingly at an age when just one of us can manage a bigger day out - obvs family days are the best but because I spend so much time at work, the days like this really compensate. Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 31/05/2014 21:10

Yw brilliant image of wee J! How big is the bump now?

Pass Grin that conversation made me smile. I think most of the quichelettes are making their wishes known now, the personalities are really shining through.

Zamboni sounds fab, I get what you mean about the special mummy-baby days, they are my fave thing ever.

Pidj it does sound a little like puppy training! Glad he is doing well though.

VQ how lucky! Am in awe of your budgeting skills too.

Fab day today- my parents came down, and then my brother unexpectedly called in on his way back home so was a lovely surprise. Great walk over the common, big family roast dinner and giggles from both girls. Am knackered now though as didn't get in from work til 2.30am and was up at 7 Envy

ValiumQueen · 31/05/2014 21:36

No Pass, not back to normal tomorrow. Normal is me scrimping and saving and DH spending it like water. I now watch him like a hawk and continue to scrimp and save. I will be at the car boot tomorrow with my pocket money, and Aldi later with a decent food budget £50 per week for all five of us.

Passmethecrisps · 31/05/2014 21:43

Me thinks vk needs his arse kicking into touch. The shoe is on the other foot here mind you so I can't talk too much
