What's the deal with threads being closed? Is there a post limit?

I am soooooo tired today. Archie has been really unsettled the last few nights from about 4am onwards. Sometimes he's hungry, sometimes he wants to play, sometimes he wants his dummy. The last two nights he's ended up in with us as it's easier to replug the dummy, pat etc.
YAWN.

Good luck henry

BookTart · 24/04/2014 09:34

Fingers crossed he's hit 10lb million

BandontheFun · 24/04/2014 10:13

H had her 2nd set of jabs yesterday I was waiting for the fallout like last time but she was much better ,a bit unsettled but nothing as bad as last time.....phew. I was on edge all day.

She is doing really well just now she goes down at 9pm and sleeps until 7am. I just go to sleep at the same time. Although I tend to hold her until she falls asleep, but thats mainly cos I like to hold her upright for 20mins after her bottle.

I'm pretty sure she was giggling yesterday, melted my heart. Can't get her to do it again tho.

Good luck today Million hope you et the news you want.

Anyone else's hair falling out loads? I goggled it and apparently it's quite common 3 months after giving birth and also after a traumatic experience so ticking both boxes.

TobyLerone · 24/04/2014 10:20

My hair is coming out in handfuls! It's a nightmare.

FelixFelix · 24/04/2014 13:47

My hair has been falling out for a few weeks Sad in the bath it will literally come out in handfuls when I'm washing my hair Confused I'm forever picking my long hairs off of Sylvie's clothes and out of her hands when she grabs my hair. I'm gutted as it's never grown past my shoulders for years, but it's grown a few inches since giving birth but now it's all falling out again!! Arghhh!

AMillionNameChangesLater · 24/04/2014 14:09

Henry is 10.07lb! So very happy. I cried!

My hair is also falling out in clumps

TarkaTheOtter · 24/04/2014 14:25

Great news million

TobyLerone · 24/04/2014 14:41

Well done, Henry!

MrsVDB · 24/04/2014 14:59

Woo well done Henry!

Angelesque · 24/04/2014 15:38

Yay congrats Million and Henry! Great news!

Spged · 24/04/2014 16:43

Thanks for the sleep rated info felix we are going through the same thing and it's great to know it might be short lived!

Well done Henry! Really great! C was 11lbs 11.5 ozs today at 16 weeks. Sticking to the curve like a magnet

We've been using the baby bjorn again in the last couple of days and she really likes facing out now. Not sure if this is for the improved view or just so she can chomp on the carrier.

I've been invited to an old work catch up dinner in May which would mean I would have to leave C with DH and also express milk. C hasn't had a bottle yet so I think we'll have to practice a few times before the big night. Does anyone know how much I should expect her to take on each feed? Also any bottle recommendations? I've read that it's better to express in the morning, but will expressing mean that I'll have to keep doing it once I start as I'll be making too much milk?

FelixFelix · 24/04/2014 17:38

Well done Henry Grin

BandontheFun · 24/04/2014 17:45

Phew not just me then. I'm finding hair everywhere to. It really is a nightmare, I have always had pretty thick hair and its long so it's worrying to see so much hair everywhere. Who knows what I will be left with, hopefully it stops soon.

Whoop Million great news.

FelixFelix · 24/04/2014 21:44

Ahhhhhhh I'm having the coil fitted tomorrow morning and I am shitting it! Please tell me it's not going to hurt Shock

AMillionNameChangesLater · 25/04/2014 04:34

Good luck today Felix

I don't suppose anyone else got paid today and is thinking "shit"? It's less than I thought and only just covers the direct debits from my bank, which means still no money until dh gets paid next week. Isn't ideal.

FelixFelix · 25/04/2014 08:02

Thanks Million. We both get paid on Tuesday and I have £0 in my bank account. Hoping DP can stretch to buying some formula on his way home from work tonight! Arghhh!

Swannykazoo · 25/04/2014 09:15

Good luck Felix - keep telling yourself nothing is as scary as having a baby and you've done that...works for me anyway.

I remember a few people with baby skin trouble. Little puggle was seen by GP for eczema, mucusy nappies and going blotchy when I feed him. I'm having a last lingering day with the Lurpak then its dairy free for 4 weeks. Feels much more daunting than being pregnant.....Anybody else tried this?

Sleep is a bit rubbish too - still beside/on me, every 2 hours after 1st 3hr block (17 and 1/2 weeks) THink its too much to believe cow's milk protein causing this!

AMillionNameChangesLater · 25/04/2014 09:20

We have arranged for ds1 and Henry to stay overnight at MIL's on Sunday night. It's the first night away from him. I dunno how I feel, I'm nervous about it but i would feel this way no matter when he stays there. The thing which is driving me is that ds1 has a brilliant relationship with his ma-ma and that came from spending a lot of time together. So Sunday night it is. Which is exciting too!

MrsVDB · 25/04/2014 09:37

Good luck felix, I agree can't be as bad as having a baby!

Those of you on fb will of seen h's rash. Well was at il's couple of days ago and dh ran him a bath and I was like its foamy what have you put in there? He said nothing so I assumed leftover shower gel etc. when we were bathing him realised water smelled of bleach. Rinsed him off and asked his family. Apparently his sister didn't know she needed to rinse the bleach off after cleaning bath! Doubt that helped his skin! Seems a bit better today after the aveeno though. Dr said to not go swimming but he has his swimming lesson tomorrow and it's in a hydrotherapy pool so I think I'm going to go anyway...

million I've left h one night with my mum and one night with dh and it was nowhere near as bad as I thought. Good job really as I'm off to Portugal next weekend on a hen do without him :(

So h is officially outgrown his Moses basket realistically should of been out of it weeks ago and wakes up in the night with his head bent over like Quasimodo! I'm not ready to put him in his room yet and mil still hadn't finished the curtains she took months ago! so I'm thinking of getting a travel cot for ensuite which I'll be able to see from my bed. Is this too pfb?? Hes not even 12 weeks yet...

MrsVDB · 25/04/2014 09:43

spg I use a selection of bottles but I think mam are quite good if your still bf. no idea on how much I'm afraid as I've only really ff. h has about 5oz at a time but I think usually babies have about 7oz?

AMillionNameChangesLater · 25/04/2014 10:00

We use MAM bottles. Henry is 15 weeks and has about 7-8ozs a time.

MrsV the bleach doesn't sound good! I thought everyone knew you had to rinse bleach!

BandontheFun · 25/04/2014 10:38

MrsV if it makes u feel any better doctors can sometimes prescribe bleach baths for excema. There is some research done that it can help.

Next week my money is going down to SMP not looking forward to it at all.

AMillionNameChangesLater · 25/04/2014 10:50

This was my first month of just smp. I'm very lucky I know, but I was shocked at how little I got. £544 ish. I also worked 6 hours on a KIT day.

FelixFelix · 25/04/2014 12:50

I've been on SMP since feb but luckily we found a house to rent which is half the price of what we were paying on our flat in the city centre so we aren't much worse off. I've not budgeted well this month though!

Just got back from the docs and she recommended the implant rather than the coil due to my age (no idea why my age affects it?) and I'm glad as it didn't hurt at all! So I worried for nothing Grin thanks for the reassurance though!!

AMillionNameChangesLater · 25/04/2014 12:57

I have the implant. I love it, this is my third one.

i have a scan on Sunday to see why I'm still bleeding
