Nice one yw. My early nesting involved glossing all the woodwork. Late nesting was moving house Grin

ValiumQueen · 16/04/2014 20:21

Very impressive YW Smile I so want to see your house, it sounds divine.

Pass, would Wine help with the marking?

ValiumQueen · 16/04/2014 20:23

Oh, and about the nap, I so needed it. I was flat out and woke up not knowing where or who I was. I will still sleep tonight if the little rascal lets me. He has had brufen tonight in an attempt to keep on top of the tooth pain. Dribble city too, so it must be that.

Passmethecrisps · 16/04/2014 20:27

It would and is vq! DH shamed me by getting out an even bigger folder full and saying he had a wee bit of work to do. I will feel better for having done it.

Sleep drunk! Sounds like you would have had a full night's sleep worth if you could have. All of body crossed that the brufen works.

I am not sure I nested. Does sitting on the sofa cuddling aging pussy count?

ValiumQueen · 16/04/2014 20:30

I have never nested.

ValiumQueen · 16/04/2014 20:32

He very nearly got Piriton tonight.

Now then peeps, talk to me about egg intolerances. J had an egg trial on Sunday. Apart from last nights poor sleep all has been well, and I think last night was teefs. Could it have been anything to do with egg, or do you think that would have been too late at 48 plus hours?

horseylady · 16/04/2014 20:35

Too late 48 hours

Missed you toooooooo pass :)

YellowWellies · 16/04/2014 20:46

I'd count 48 hours as too late too.

BigPigLittlePig · 16/04/2014 20:52

Yep, we get reaction after 12 hrs.

ValiumQueen · 16/04/2014 20:53

Let the egging commence Grin thank you oh wise ones.

ChasingDaisy · 16/04/2014 21:00

YY to sleep drunk. Sometimes I can't help but have a quick nap, but I wake up immediately after, feeling dreadful. Does help a little though. I will throw a party the day VQ gets some decent sleep Smile

FatimaLovesBread · 16/04/2014 21:04

QQ... Would you bother going to the doctors for feeling exhausted all the time? I thought about asking for a blood test for iron levels and I've felt a few palpitations.

But thinking about it, I ache randomly all the time, got lots of bruises on my legs that just appear for no reason and bit that hurt like their bruised when I brush against something, although there's no bruises there.

Not sure if I should bother the GP or if it's just health anxiety creeping back in making me more aware or twinges.

BigPigLittlePig · 16/04/2014 21:21

Lots of ladies in particular, see the gp for TATT (tired all the time). 99% of the time, it is because they are mums, and work, and run houses etc, but a simple screening set of bloods will rule out things like thyroid problems, anaemia, vitamin deficiency etc. So yes to seeing gp - they may pull this face Hmm but are v used to that complaint.

Passmethecrisps · 16/04/2014 21:41

Many moons ago I burst into tears while having a routine contraception appointment. I was exhausted all the time, emotional and feeling awful. The GP said "if you are tired all the time it is usually the body's way of telling you just that. You are tired." However, he also ran blood tests and gave advice about eating etc. He certainly wasn't Hmm and if you are taking about health anxiety fatima I think that alone is well worth talking to your GP about.

Hooray to egging vq! I have been very happy adding egg into p's diet. She is not so fussed actually but it makes me happy.

Are you on hols yet bp?

Passmethecrisps · 16/04/2014 21:50

And ooo ooo! I need lunch help please!

P's wonderful CM has moved house - good thing
The old owners took the cooker - bad thing
CM is a fan of pure and wholesome - good thing
So won't buy a microwave - bad thing

Anyway. I have got into the habit of batch cooking and freezing thus chucking a freezer bag of some tasty lunch in the bag which CM would heat and serve. S'no longer possible.

I am just not in the habit of making cold lunch I have no idea what to give! This week she has has Spanish omlette and cheese, oatcakes and salad. Other things I have sent are little fish rolls made with flattened bread, sandwiches, samosas, pitta bread with cheese spread, pasta, rice or Cous Cous salad.

The problem is we have NO FOOD IN THE HOUSE! Well, we do but it would need to be served warm. We have no tuna, ham or anything like that.

Cold lunches are keeping me awake at night! Even when we do have food in the house! What on earth do i feed her tomorrow????

BigPigLittlePig · 16/04/2014 21:52

Yes Pass. Last day at my parents, spending tomorrow with my gran who hasn't seen F since she has been walking Shock F loved seeing hundreds of piggies today, from newborn piglets to the great fat boars. But most exciting of all was the 3 legged cat who couldn't run away Grin

BigPigLittlePig · 16/04/2014 21:53

Banana/jam/marmite sandwiches? Chopped fruit salad, crackers, cereal bar things. Um. Confused

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2014 21:59

passanything can be heated up on stove. Slowly. Buy her a pack of pasta / rice, tell her to cook it and heatup sauce/ casserole.

Cold lunches I have no idea. Am maybe too French now but a hot meal at lunch time is important. Non?

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2014 22:02

I'll be quiet for the next few days. Tomorrow we are driving to Brugges and getting an overnight ferry to Hull! Dog and all. I hope to be back in action by Friday evening.

If not have a great Easter , except detective who is working.

Love ya quiche, Mother Ship, here I come!

Passmethecrisps · 16/04/2014 22:14

Yep see hot lunches I am all over. It is cold lunches I am struggling with. It is a temporary issue as they are refitting kitchen and will have a cooker fairly soon. They are cooking family meals in the slow cooker. She is also not licensed to do anything which classes as cooking so all just heating. Hence my problemo. Having scoured the cupboards and fridge I think she is going to get a cheese spread pitta with salad tomorrow. Not very exciting.

Passmethecrisps · 16/04/2014 22:15

So exciting pr!! Have a fantastic trip and lookin forward to hearing all about it!

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2014 22:18

Oh. Before bed shall just squeal:

Toffee crisps, proper fish n chips, pub meals, rolo mousses and CHEAP GENERIC DRUGS FROM SUPERMARKETS! Yay. 15 p for 8g of paracetamol bring it on! I pay over €2. Ditto antihistamines and calpol and nurofen (for dh and dcs of course). Every time I come back from the uk I get scared the rattling in my suitcase from cheap otc stuff will alert the authorities.

That and the smarties with orange flavoured oranges, the curry pastes and the other bits and pieces.

In 36 hours I will be HOME!

Yay.

Passmethecrisps · 16/04/2014 22:19
PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2014 22:24

She's not licenced but meh, if you d she don't care.. Am I being French again?

By the way I will be popping up to haggis land but only to Gretna Green to get whisky. DH's colleagues request.

PetiteRaleuse · 16/04/2014 22:29
