I wouldn't care but cm does. I have some meatballs in the freezer. I could cook and solve those and she can have a meatball pitta.

Passmethecrisps · 16/04/2014 22:31

You forgot the crisps? You crazy wench

Passmethecrisps · 16/04/2014 22:32

just popping on to say bon voyage pr have tons of fun.

found out that DD1 got into our first choice of school today, which technically means that as long as it proves to be a good school then E's school placement is sorted too!

been very busy of late so sorry for being a crap poster. all fun but very knackering for me and the girls!

Lily311 · 17/04/2014 05:31

Have a good trip pr, enjoy mother ship! Agree about the medicines, I always stock up when in Uk.

O mostly wears leggings and once a week a dress. My nephew wears the most uncomfortable clothes (skinny jeans, etc) at age 3 and looks like a pre teen. I really want O to feel like a child and dress like a child.

Ou offered me to take my exam on a computer. Now do I agree or not? I hate handwriting but taking my laptop back to the UK seems rather pointless. I might ask my brother to give me his.

Evilwater · 17/04/2014 06:44

Boo!

Wandathewindfairy · 17/04/2014 08:09

fatima having been tired pretty much constantly for the last 10 years I would pretty much say it comes with the territory unfortunately. However, I would also say if you are worried about it go and see the gp at least to rule out some other stuff it could be. Doesn't matter if they go Hmm at least you have put your mind at rest.

Once when I was really struggling and I had a mince round Mn to see how other women coped with kids and work and flying an hour up the m40 to get girls every Friday . Anyway someone said once a week they went to bed at the same time as the kids. With no device! I started doing that and actually when the girls are with me I go to bed at the same time as them every night. Doesn't make it go away but it helps me be able to function better.

Well done on the school eliza it is always a relief.

ps lunches sound amazing to me pass

PetiteRaleuse · 17/04/2014 08:22

Eek. Shipping forecast said moderate, rough later. They mean it will be a really super smooth crossing don't they? They do they do they do.

Dairy/egg-free peeps, this NHS leaflet is a good guide to challenges and reintroduction of excluded foods. Dairy-free seems to be working out really well for us. J had his first bottle of Neocate last night and slept all night and without the early morning screamathon too. Shock

Fatima if you can rule out tiredness caused by illness such as anaemia or thyroid issues then there are still plenty of avenues to explore. The most obvious one is are you getting enough sleep? Is the sleep you are getting good quality? Sleep hygiene techniques such as no screens in the run up to bedtime can help. Paul McKenna's sleep CD is good for relaxing. I quite like Rescue Remedy Night, I'm not convinced it actually does anything but it tastes nice and can become part of your own bedtime routine. I have taken to reading slightly boring books at bedtime such as popular science or medical books as I don't get too engrossed in them and stay up to read them.

For a while I fell into the bad habit of self-medicating with caffeine to keep me awake in the day and alcohol to help me sleep at night but they just become a crutch that doesn't help long-term. Now I avoid caffeine after 2 p.m. and find that anything more than two or three units of alcohol seems to cause me to be awake in the wee hours, usually fretting.

Exercise can be good for tiredness too (not too close to bedtime though) as it's invigorating at the time, it improves sleep if you're physically tired as well as mentally tired, and it can cause a marked improvement in mood. I do the 30 day shred a few times a week, it's only 20 minutes of exercise but I have noticed improvements in mood, fitness, toning and sleep.

I do wonder sometimes whether diet plays a part. I cut out most processed food and sugar last summer; I also cut down on wheat and dairy. The health improvements I have had have been quite remarkable: reduced nasal congestion, IBS completely gone, no more period pain, joint pains have stopped even from my massively damaged ankle, asthma symptoms have declined, skin and allergies improvements, more stable blood sugar, less dental plaque, etc. Clearly I had a problem with dairy or gluten or something that was contributing to inflammation and causing a whole host of problems. But I didn't even know I was sick until I sorted my diet out. Now I feel so much better about my health losing 30 lb of 'baby' weight didn't hurt either.

it's a millpond here atm pr

FatimaLovesBread · 17/04/2014 09:03

Thanks for the tiredness advice. I think I'll give it a week or so and see how I feel. I've got some spatone left so going to start taking that again with some multivits and I keep intending to start the shred again. Will see if I get any improvement. It made me worry as yesterday I came out of work and drove to pick DH up and felt so shattered I could have easily closed my eyes while driving. I swapped so DH could drive.

I'm a bad mummy today. M woke for a feed at 3am, I went in and she'd been sick all over her cot and herself. No idea when it happened but she'd slept in it a bit and it was all in her hair. She woke about 9pm and cried but I left her and she went back to sleep, wonder of that was when she was sock although I didn't hear it.
She seems fine today, full of beans!

Zamboni · 17/04/2014 09:05

Have a fab time PR Grin

Good news Eliza about schools!

Pass I would find that so stressful, am so glad DC's nursery sort their food .

Set off from home vair early for a meeting several hours away and am going to arrive too early. I could grab a coffee and answer emails. I'm actually going to "nip" into a big out of town shopping mall. All. By. Myself. Grin

Lily311 · 17/04/2014 10:23

fatima yes! wanted to say that I had blood test done prior the operation 2 weeks ago and my iron level was none existent. It now explains why I needed coffee and red bull plus extra coffee to get through the day. I was put on iron tablets and due to have another blood test next week to see how it improved. I feel much better already, cut out red bull and extra coffee this week and now just drink in the morning.

Wandathewindfairy · 17/04/2014 10:35

fatima I take Solgar Female Multiple and have noticed when I stopped taking it there was a diff. The health food man said to take two, despite what it says on The jar (which says 3) and take 3 when you are run down so that is what I do. They do seem expensive but any good multiviatmin is, and they are not the most expensive.

I also actually find I sleep better when I don't drink at all. My main prob at the mo is similar to a lot of quichsters out there. I wake up because someone shuffles or I need a wee then it takes ages to get back to sleep. I have gone back to using so e of the hypnobirthing mediation session breathing techniques Hmm I also just try to appreciate the warmth of my bed! as I never get a chance to in the morning.

Wandathewindfairy · 17/04/2014 10:37

Have fun zamboni sounds ace. Grin

Bit rough here pp and pr but I suspect. A bit further north than you will be sailing. Where are you sailing to?

Kyz · 17/04/2014 10:44

Thank you eliza it worked!

Thank you for all of the lovely messages about my little rat, I am getting over illness and catching up on sleep and then I'll be back xxx

GTbaby · 17/04/2014 11:52

I feel so useless today. I dread getting out of bed and starting the day. The trying to get H to eat. The constant crying. I do nothing all day. Just sit n wait for the next feed sleep milk moan nappy change. We go to the same park every morning.
I'm exhausted. Fh has day off. N I'm sat at home just arguing with him because he won't get his act together to get out of the house. He has no concept of H needing sleep.

PurplePidjin · 17/04/2014 12:44

Wanda I'd say it's no more than a 2 at the tops of the trees, 0 at ground level. Haven't been past the beach today but I doubt there's much of a swell on the Solent/Channel and only vague high wispy clouds on the horizon.

GT snuggle down and get your mum/sis round to help. Also, get thee to a GP if this is more than PMT for a few days.

I've made an appointment to get myself checked I've been getting regular periods despite having had the implant for over a year. They're heavy and I spend the first couple of days exhausted and weepy - pre-R I was never moody, just a bit of cramp that could be dealt with by judicious application of a hot water bottle, and not this heavy. Nor am I weepy the rest of the month. I might as well not have it tbh, I'm now in a place where I'll remember to take the pill reliably whereas I didn't trust myself to remember last year.

fruitpastilles · 17/04/2014 13:12

Oh no kyz sorry it's late, but so sorry to hear about quiche rat Hmm

Have read but not really taken anything in. Glad you had a good time with the girls wanda were you in my neck of the woods?
pr have a great trip home - my mouth was watering reading your list of goodies.

I'm having a weigh day treat dinner of fish pie, it's a favourite in this house. We haven't had it for a few weeks because we've had no oven so I'm looking forward to it, with loads of broccoli and parsley sauce, yum yum.
S is napping and I have lots to do but we've had a busy busy week so I'm just having some quiet time on the sofa catching up on some telly, I feel really naughty!

Wandathewindfairy · 17/04/2014 13:22

I think so fruit but I think just other side of Brum near junc 4 M42 vicinity.

ditsygal · 17/04/2014 13:46

Oh Kyz, I'm so sorry - I missed a few pages further back and so hadn't seen about your little rat. How upsetting for you. At least she lived her short life being warm and fed and comfortable thanks to you. Big hugs

ChasingDaisy · 17/04/2014 13:48

Re sleep, I haven't eaten chocolate/refined sugar for about 6 weeks and have noticed a big improvement in sleep. I expect I shan't sleep for days when I binge on Easter chocolate Grin
