That is all xx

PurplePidjin · 11/04/2014 22:29

I'd have been Buttercup or Primrose or something, or Hannah after my Great Uncle's ratty snappy disgusting Yorkshire terrier Hmm

FFS R go to sleep! He's been making his "I'm going to sleep" hum noise for 45 minutes now, if I go in he'll scream but I WANT TO GO TO BED!!! AngrySadHmm

PurplePidjin · 11/04/2014 22:30

I think he's talking in his sleep, actually. Might try tiptoeing up and switch the monitor off when i've finished my 2nd glass of wine I had to pour to get me through

BigPigLittlePig · 11/04/2014 22:43

As a 3 yr old I was quite insistent that my name was Paul.

As you were.

Elizadoesdolittle · 11/04/2014 22:48

Wandathewindfairy · 12/04/2014 04:09

Morning all!

He hee.

I'm off.

Hoping there have been so e good nights aplenty. Xx

Wandathewindfairy · 12/04/2014 05:59

No one up yet?

Not even Paul? Grin

A bizarre drive to the airport. No cars at all on the road till I reached the city and then the first car I see I think it must be a serial killer, what else would one be doing driving around at 5am! Confused

I am safely ensconced in departures with a really really really lovely cup of strong coffee. I will miss my boys tremendously but it will be lovely not to be constantly on the look out for what mischief O is up to next! And my girly cuddles will definitely make up for it. Grin

Hope you are ok kyz doesn't sound like you are getting much sleep at all at the mo with one thing and another.

Kyz · 12/04/2014 06:02

I'm here wanda, no, not a lot of sleep ATM! Will be fine though :) have a safe journey and a lovely time !

PetiteRaleuse · 12/04/2014 07:03

Morning quiche.

Have a fab time wanda

ValiumQueen · 12/04/2014 07:15

Morning quiche. J slept until 11.45, would not settle in his bed, so he tossed and turned in mine all night. I did not sleep well but at least I was in bed, warm and he wasn't screaming. DH slept through it all.

Any tips on getting vomit smell out of a hire car and brand new car seat? DH decided it would be fun to go the scenic route with lots of bends and sheer drops. Obviously he had forgotten DD1 is prone to car sickness fucker

ValiumQueen · 12/04/2014 07:16

Have fun Wanda Brew

Pikz · 12/04/2014 07:22

VQ bicarb?

L aka Spider-Man is on form today. Currently scaling the scaffolding in the kitchen

StuntNun · 12/04/2014 07:48

J decided to wake us up this morning by screaming at the top of his lungs at 5:30 a.m. Hmm He must have been thirsty as a bottle of Koko milk calmed him right down. But he had a big bottle of milk at bedtime too so I'm wondering whether to leave a sippy cup of water in his room for nighttime. He's always been a very thirsty boy.

r eventually settled at 11:30. which meant nearly 1 by the time i got to sleep. then he had a bad dream at 4:40. then up for the day at 7.

Not. Coping.

Pikz · 12/04/2014 07:52

Think we night have to retire sleeping bags. This morning he had managed to get both his arms out but as a result it was ridiculously tight round his under arms and he was stuck!

MsJupiter · 12/04/2014 08:03

Pidj that is rough BrewBrewBrew

fruitpastilles · 12/04/2014 08:17

Have a lovely time wanda
BrewBrewBrew To those needing them. S decided 5am would be a good time to start the day today.
A couple of weeks ago our oven broke, and the other day our washing machine decided to break aswell, we have new ones coming today, the washing machine can't come quick enough the pile is getting humongous. So I have a day of waiting in for whenever they decide to turn up.
Hope everyone else has better plans for the day!

BigPigLittlePig · 12/04/2014 09:17

Better night again. But is it the omeprazole, or the lack of the milk?

Sorry to hear of early starts (except Wandas) and broken machines.

Have just had to attempt to copy an elaborate hairstyle from a dvd cover for dsd. Think it has met with approval. Just. Phew.

fruitpastilles · 12/04/2014 09:36

I am dreading having to do S's hair, I I'm rubbish at doing styles, my cousins dd asked me to do a French plait in her hair when she stayed and then laughed at me when I said I didn't know how to Blush

Lily311 · 12/04/2014 09:41

Morning,

Have a lovely time wanda, enjoy your girls.
bp Grin
O woke at 5 too, she is down for a nap now. Not sure what we will do in the afternoon, I cleaned, baked 2 cakes so we are free to do anything really.

StuntNun · 12/04/2014 09:56

I'm not sure whether this is the best place to post but I'm wary of getting slammed in a MN post elsewhere. I'm a bit worried about DH's drinking. I have been for a while but I went to get a beer last night and there was none left. At first I was just annoyed at DH for drinking 'my' beer but it's not like it had my name on it or anything. But then I went and looked in our recycling and there were an awful lot of bottles in there considering I went to the bottle bank on Monday. Totting up what was in there he had at least 25 units on Tuesday to Thursday last week. Which is a lot for week days. There's no way I could manage 8 units in a night let alone every night. I asked him if he thought he was drinking too much and he said no but then I think he was quite surprised when I brought in all the empty bottles. I have had concerns about his drinking for a while but last night really rang alarm bells for me and I'm not sure what the next step is. He needs to cut down for the sake of his liver if nothing else but I'm sure that's easier said than done if you have a problem with alcohol. WWYD?

YellowWellies · 12/04/2014 10:50

Stunt I'd be alarmed at that but don't know what to suggest - since DH got malaria working in Uganda he can't handle more than the occasional beer. I've always been the drinker in our relationship. Maybe agree a mutually agreeable amount to drink in a week ie under the recommended units, buy in said amount and if he's struggling to stick to it - think about talking to the doc. Try some booze free options too? If he's a lager man Beck's blue is actually a very good alcohol free substitute if its just about having a cold one after work? If its G&T then Pass's excellent tip to just have tonic and a slice is also very nice.

J has been walking from DH to me and back again this week but we just had our first independent steps. He picked up a Biro from the coffee table and wandered over to the cream poang intent on mischief!

Is he the last quichelet to walk? The paed reckoned he's likely got hypermobility syndrome like me - super flexy joints which whilst making you the super smuggest bendy person in a yoga class makes learning to walk slow as there's not enough rigidity in the knees or ankles until well over a year old.

He looked dead chuffed!

BigPigLittlePig · 12/04/2014 11:52

Stunt I think like you say, pointing out to him how much he has drunk and that it is a lot, might make him more aware. Presumably he is drinking on his own though, or after you are in bed, at times. Maybe suggest that you just have drinks together? I would be worried too xx

Yay for walking YW! Nothing is sacred now!

You know when you have been dead tired, then had a couple ofgood nights sleep, you feel a bit dopey and spaced out? Well F is like that today so am I and good grief, what a challenge! We have skipped lunch and had milk and now she's gone for a long overdue nap. In her cot

Homemade Wendy house is nearly done. Dh has finished sanding it, and we have paint!

PurplePidjin · 12/04/2014 12:05

I can't wait for R to have corn rows, unfortunately it doesn't look like he'll have enough curl for dreads like Daddy :o

Stunt my dieting answer was a simple Don't Buy Treats. If I want chocolate, I have to walk to the shop to get it. Maybe try that for a while? It's easier on the wallet at least!

YW :o

I'm so tired I'm shaking. Tried to nap on the sofa but can't, I struggle to sleep during the day Sad Have also had one instance of the runs. Tried going to my folks to distract grotty R but no dice, so we've come home for nap time and will go back later. Even the robin eating the vine weevil grubs wasn't enough for him, and asking for Kind Hands when touching worms just provoked hysterics! We've also made muffins, decorated cardboard eggs for the church competition and tidied and played in our "garden". He's eaten a bowl of cheerios, a slice of toast, two big drinks of milk, a satsuma and a few bites of peanut butter sandwich i was running out of ideas after an hour and a half of breakfast so am assuming he's stepping up his months-long growth spurt. Not looking forward to the teenage years at this rate!
