We have quite a range of ages and they each develop at their own rates... so what can your toddler do?

I hope for Matilda to have better taste in men than me.

Have been reading. Will do a post of kyz-epic ness when I have broadband as would cry if my phone killed one.

YellowWellies · 04/03/2014 07:55

I'd like J to be himself and excited by the world around him. I'd be proud if he were a good, kind, do anything for anyone bloke like his Dad but as long as he's true to himself that's all I can wish for. DH jokes the only things he'd not want him to be are happy clappy born again religious or a Tory MP!

ChasingDaisy · 04/03/2014 08:31

I'd like O to be kind and gentle; secure in himself and his beliefs; interested in the world around him and determined enough to achieve anything he wants to.

Happy pancake day!

Sophiathesnowfairy · 04/03/2014 08:42

Think chasing is a bit excited about pancaking today! Grin

To pancake or not to pancake. I am all alone for the day.

ditsygal · 04/03/2014 08:48

Happy pancake day!
chasing belated happy birthday for yesterday

I would like F to grow to be kind and gentle, articulate and confident. And to feel very very loved.
But firstly I would like him to start sleeping through the night regularly and stop this scream he has developed!

fruitpastilles · 04/03/2014 08:54

Morning!

apple that sounds lovely getting to see C in your lunch break Smile

Hi kyz glad E had a good clear out, hopefully the kiwi did the trick, be good if it was that considering he likes them.

Hey zamboni yes! definitely better just to get stuck in, just need to keep up now Smile seems I have a bit more time while S isn't herself, and I'm not taking her to classes and play groups.

It seems we all have similar dreams for our children. I too would love for S to be happy and confident, for her to have a real passion for life, for her to be able to converse on all levels (something I struggle to do) but most of all, I want her to be well mannered and polite, both as a child and an adult.

PetiteRaleuse · 04/03/2014 09:01

Woo. Pancake day. Yay.

PetiteRaleuse · 04/03/2014 09:21

We have two pancake days in France but I forgot the first one.

DD1 went to nursery in her fairy costume for Carnival Day. LO would have gone in her tiger costume but she has conjunctivitis so is home with me.

ditsygal · 04/03/2014 09:27

So upset, we are putting our house on the market next month and I had seen a property that has been on a while that I loved. today it has gone under offer on rightmove. booo! there is nothing else I like anywhere near as much in the areas we are looking. And its so rare that anything good comes up.
first world problems I know, but it is so annoying.

fruitpastilles · 04/03/2014 09:32

Mmmm pancakes, think a day off the diet is in order. I already had the weekend off for dp's birthday. Not looking forward to weigh in Blush

Shame about the house ditsy I'm sure another one will come up soon.

We've been toying with the idea of moving, trouble is all of my friends and family are within walking distance, my best friend has just bought a house on my road in fact. But our house is just too small. We really don't know what to do.

pennie it's not taking any income into account. Just flat fees of £5.3k a year for a three year course. My unemployment will cover it but to get that I have to not set up my freelancing company until after June...

StuntNun · 04/03/2014 10:48

First unaccompanied loo break of the day. Wink I swear my children stalk me when I need a wee. J is asleep so (after I pee) I'm going to have a very early lunch then tidy up like a whirling dervish.

Whirl away stunt that is what I plan to do after an hours walk.

Lily311 · 04/03/2014 11:00

I have no flour. Gotta go to the shops after her nap.sophia always pancake. Alone or not.

I want O to be kind, strong, good at something and love her mum forever.

evil you are awesome. You are doing so well and your little boy will be so proud of her awesome mummy.

Elizadoesdolittle · 04/03/2014 11:18

ditsy having just gone through all that and come out the other side I feel your pain. Hard but there really is no point in looking until your house is on the market as you are just setting yourself up for disapoint. If you're area is anything like mine houses are flying off the market as soon as they come on as there's just so little around. Good luck!

I would like my girls to be independent, confident, generous, open minded, loyal and loving. Not asking for much eh Grin

oh yes to pancakes. Am waiting for DH to get home to do ours as he's much better at making them than me.

Off to ikea once dropped DD1 off at nursery. Not meeting anyone there though and no time for dime barsSad

PurplePidjin · 04/03/2014 11:56

I might buy some little scotch pancakes to pop in the toaster for R, but will be making them with the kids at work tonight so no point making my kitchen messy Wink

ChasingDaisy · 04/03/2014 12:35

Just had a brill driving lesson, followed by pancakes for lunch. Nom. A birthday card also arrived in the post from O today. I am assured that he sent it himself but I think he may have had a little help...cough cough lily cough cough...

it didn't make me cry. Oh no. Not a bit

Fabulous news chasing

Amazing walk, just amazing.

My plan for the rest of my day alone is, a bit of ironing, get an Irish stew in the slow cooker, sort out DS1s wardrobe and roast some beetroot that I just scrimped from SILS veg patch.

Perfect.

Oo I might mop the floor before I go to collect boys via nice coffee shop with book accidentally falling Into handbag

Lily311 · 04/03/2014 13:12

I know nothing of a birthday card. Told you, your son is a genius. And a real man too, always a day late;)

fruitpastilles · 04/03/2014 13:26

You can't beat a good old stew! I haven't asked dp to make one or aaages, I wouldn't have a clue how to do a stew and his are lovely.

Yay for the card chasing you are so sweet to do that lily

fruitpastilles · 04/03/2014 13:29

chasing you sound like you are enjoying your lessons now, are you?

PetiteRaleuse · 04/03/2014 14:01

Mmmmmm stew. I am so hungry. I have just spent LO's nap translating crap about fashion. Much more of this and I will be able to pop over to Style and Beauty and pretend I know what I am talking about.
