We needed a new thread!

Dp's moaning about me going to London (well not moaning but sighing and say 'oh that means I don't be able to work ohhh don't worry about it huff sigh') because it means he won't be able to do any over time. Ffs.

Barbeasty · 03/04/2014 20:39

Ignore him and have a good time. Just think of all the football, which doesn't get in the way of overtime. What he means is that he'll have to look after both DC on his own for a change.

Spotty the same bloke that takes himself off to football all day every Saturday is moaning about you having some time to himself?! I hope you are ignoring the moaning ;)

I would just say "it's good for you to get some time away from work, the children will be so happy to spend some extra time with you :)"

Maryland2013 · 03/04/2014 20:43

and I would be thinking let's see how you do looking after 1 kids it's bloody hard work

SpottyTeacakes · 03/04/2014 20:47

He's injured atm Hmm

Maryland2013 · 03/04/2014 20:54

I meant 2 kids!!

That is a shame he is injured Wink

Barbeasty · 03/04/2014 20:56

Then more Saturdays off for you! And he wouldn't want to make an injury worse by working!!

nutella I'm the same - anything that interferes with my natural hormones makes me nutty.
beasty that sounds the same as dd1 made at school - it is lovely. My cards weren't quite that special and it was a very quiet week. Next time I have to nicely point out to a serial non payer that she didn't pay today. She's such a cheeky mare who always lets her kids use loads of craft stuff and eat loads if biscuits and never pays if she can get away with it.
spotty what everyone else said!

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2014 06:49

Dd is ill. I think she has an ear infection. Worried about her having that vaccination now. Her temp was 39.6 more than an hour after calpol 39.8 luckily the neurofen got it under 39 but it's back at 39.4 this morning. I've got to go to work and we've only got one car!

ddas · 04/04/2014 09:01

Having a vaccine today or one she's already had. Sorry totally missed the thread this week. Dd been unwell with a fever for nearly 2 weeks now and been in & out of hospital. A few worrying things when she was examined so have to go back today for a review and some more test results. Trying not to get too worried and hoping that it's just glandular fever as the other differentials are more sinister :;

spotty go to London and have an awesome time! A friend is getting married abroad in the summer and too expensive for us all to go so I'm going with a friend for 2 nights and we're both leaving the kids and husbands behind. Looking forward to it but also apprehensive as think I'll probably spend the whole time thinking of them!

Barbeasty · 04/04/2014 09:17

Ddas fingers crossed for good news today.

And Spotty you couldn't have known she'd get an ear infection. They are horrid though.

DD has been basically deaf for weeks now with her ear infections. I'm shouty mum just to get her to hear anything.

It was lovely collecting A from nursery yesterday. DH came too. A saw us, squawked, and ran over. DH crouched down and held his arms out. A sidestepped and came straight to me! Makes up for years of overexcited DD heading straight for DH if he's there!

I'm not

ddas - fx for good news.

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2014 14:09

Oh ddas poor you and dd. Dd had her vaccination yesterday I'm sure it's unconnected.

halestone · 04/04/2014 14:18

Ddas, FX for today, i hope its nothing sinister.

Spotty i hope DD is better soon.

Beasty, H always prefers her dad/grandad to me so i would be chuft if she ran to me.

WL good luck getting the money from your serial non payer.

H is over the worst now i think her breathing although fast is much much slower than it was. Shes still whiny though.

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2014 14:32

We've had two nexplanon pregnancies at work recently, really seems as though nothing is certain. Wonder if there's many on depo hopeful WinkGrin

SpottyTeacakes · 04/04/2014 18:02

Dd has a chest infection 'caught just in time' apparently and an ear infection

WLmum · 04/04/2014 18:23

Oh no spotty. Poor dd and poor you - what rotten timing.

Barbeasty · 04/04/2014 21:38

Oh Spotty.

DD asked for orange medicine (neurofen) tonight, because her throat hurt. Never a good sign, I hope it isn't more tonsillitis.

But I did get them both into bed at 5.30!

OP posts:
WLmum · 04/04/2014 22:36

5.30?! beasty not in almost 7 years have mine entertained such an idea! Curses to these children of mine that don't need much sleep! Dd2 was v confused yesterday when I was talking to a friend who's ds is only a few months younger than her and was asleep in the pushchair. Why is he asleep and why is he in a pushchair?

Dd1 had her Easter bonnet parade at school today - the winning entry was amazing - a giant (bigger than the boys head) creme egg complete with cream egg wrapping over the bottom half. It was awesome. Completely pissed on the rest of us with our lame eggs and chicks!

PurplePidjin · 04/04/2014 22:49

R is normally sparko by 6 Blush often 5:30 Blush

he doesn't get up for the day till 8 either

SpottyTeacakes · 05/04/2014 06:02

WL someone on my fb had an Easter bonnet like that too....

Ds was up before six Angry and we were up (well dp was Wink) for ages last night because our fucking smoke alarms kept going off every five minutes. They're wired in and so, so loud. Ffs.

Barbeasty · 05/04/2014 07:58

Before the clocks changed they were going to bed at 6 and asleep by 7.

I've been trying to put them to bed at 7 recently, just because DD has her dance show on Tuesday and it doesn't start until 7 (and they want them all in the finale at about 9.15!) so I was worried she'd be fast asleep!

But that's meant they are messing about until after 8 pm. And they still get up by 6am.

I was shattered and fed up yesterday, and DD was playing up, so I just declared it was bed time and up we went! They messed around a bit but were asleep before 7. And up around 6 as usual.

I'm still shattered though!

OP posts:
WLmum · 05/04/2014 13:15

pidj that is unreal!

SpottyTeacakes · 05/04/2014 14:24

Ds usually does 12.5 over night and 2-4 in the day which I think is great.

Dd's feeling much better but I'm sure she will go downhill later.

WL and beasty do we hear about school allocation soon? Dd's nursery start doing PE practise next term

WLmum · 05/04/2014 15:07

God I feel so cheated! T does 10/11 at night (still with 1 feed) and only 1.5 hours in the day.
Yep spotty 16th April. Fingers crossed it will tell me that my double school run will come to an end!
