Bloody hell hales! Dd wears 2-3!! Ds is still in 9-12

Spotty, we weighed H the other week and she was 31.6lb. She's taller than all of my friends babies who are coming up to the age of 2, in the next couple of months. She grows out of clothes so so quickly. Her 18-24 month ones some are the perfect fit and some are just a bit too snug. So I didn't risk buying that size again.

SpottyTeacakes · 23/04/2014 15:49

She weighs more than dd too!! Is your dp tall? Her peers will probably catch up in time Smile

Report
halestone · 23/04/2014 16:20

No I'm 5.2ish and he thinks he's 5.6 but he's not he's smaller than that. In both of our families everyone there is no-one that is tall. My dad said me and my sisters were the same when we younger. But by the time we reached school we were ordinary height and weight.

Shock When I was in London I saw a woman hit her 3 yo he was sobbing and she was just screaming at him it was so busy no one said anything. I would have but I got pushed with the crowd and was with my childless friend so I don't think she thought as much of it as me Sad

Maryland and Spotty, that's so sad. Those poor children.

The neighbour has just been round and dropped off a bouncy castle for H, and my niece. So we put it up and let them play. They were so happyGrin

DS loves a bouncy castle!!

Spotty that is shocking!!! I hate to see anything like that. Bad parenting not bad children Angry

Hales I really like the Wonder Weeks but the app only goes up to 84 weeks old but it was either free or very cheap.

Not sure who said it but ds has also developed an alarming fondness for the remote/tv. And he hardly ever gets to watch it - once a week sometimes when the day nanny's stuck indoors with him if it's wet. I think maybe it's a gadget-with-buttons thing?

DS has learned what app icons are, and will open certain apps on my phone with precision and consistency. Not sure if I should be ashamed or proud Hmm. He doesn't get my phone that often, but I really do need to just hide it completely all day when he's around. I just like a little but if connection to the real world :(

DS has become very lazy this week. He has a few toys/games that it's now my job to fetch. Like his ball, he throws it, then sits and demands I go fetch it. I'm 30w pregnant now and finding the up/down off the floor a real trial - especially 15000 times a day. Need to retrain him I think, but no idea how I'd go about it!

willyou hope DS is ok? And that you're getting a bit if a break too. You've had a tough few days/weeks/months and could really do with some plain sailing around now. Thinking of you.

hales wow, DS is 10kg fully dressed, and still in 9-12 clothes, with a couple of small 12-18 things. I'm sure things will even out over a few growth spurts, but it's amazing how different children can be. I met a tiny boy at play group the other day, 23 months old and smaller than DS in every way.

maryland and spotty how awful. Poor wee things.
hales T is quite big and tall too. Not that far off my friends teeny 5 year old! They will all be what they're meant to be.
mama loving the accent! You might have an early potty trainer there if she's letting you know already that's she dirty. Dd1 was completely out of nappies by 22 months and for ages before used to come and say 'change you' as soon as she was wet or dirty.

Squee *Stacks! 30 weeks, you nearly have another baby Envy

DS is okay. He's eaten today and been to baby group where he danced like a lunatic! He has a nasty cough though.

Oh well it's daddy's problem tonight as he's staying there. I've been to Zumba and I'm running a bath.

I'm so cross. Yesterday before dp went to football I asked him to get some more bread. He didn't and said it was fine because there's six slices left. I've just gone to eat my toast and it's mouldy Angry I'm not driving twenty minutes just to get some bread when I asked him to get some last night anyway. I've already done my injection so I need to eat something. Not sure what the dc are going to have got lunch we're really low on food. I was really looking forward to my toast Sad I know it's not a big deal but if he'd just got some like I asked!

Stacks make the most of the relative calm of the next 10 weeks!

Spotty I feel your pain. Maybe run out of food for his dinner? Hope you managed to eat something reasonable.

I must weigh A. Haven't done it since his 1yr check just before Christmas. I suspect he's still tiny! DD is average.

I thought we were up for an awful night last night. A wouldn't go down properly, then woke up at 9 and 10. He was howling and screaming and despite being desperately tired he didn't want to go down. We had to move DD into the spare room so she could sleep. And after all that he went through until 4am, when he woke screaming, had a desperate feed and screamed himself to sleep (cried for 1 minute then off). And I had to get up at 5!

I ended up having to wake A before I left so I could get him up, and he really didn't want to wake up. And DD surfaced as I was heading out and was worried that she wasn't dressed.

Roll on tomorrow- DH and I are off again so we can all sleep in! Then out shopping- DD wants some sandals. I need to steer her away from the ones we saw last time we were in the shop. They were lovely and all that, but £56 on preschooler's sandals?!

I had some biscuits Blush dd and ds both need summer shoes. I'm going to wait until the end of May though I think. I'm going to get them some of the jojo canvas shoes and then some kind of sandal. Dd wants crocs but they're just not supportive enough although it might not matter hmm might ask her physio

spotty can you make DP some sandwiches for his dinner with the left over mouldy bread? Grin

I knew when ds stopped doing his usual two hours and it was only up to an hour. I now wait until just after an early lunch, say 12, and he will have two hours.

Beasty I brought some sandals from Marland yesterday they were £8.

Nutella, H, gave up her morning naps in her own time, she just stopped needing it.

Beasty I have my FX you have a lie in tomorrow.

Spotty I am loving Nutella's idea of making your DP a mouldy sandwich.

Wow, I am so behind on everything. Stacks and Nutella, you're both pregnant!? Wonderful news, mazel tov! (Are you also on the prenatal threads for these next little beans?)

whispers I started taking folic acid this morning. TTC from next month, I think.

Beasty, that is a truly dreadful night. We had one of those a few nights ago, but tonight C went down like a lamb. And just as I wrote that, I hear murmurings and grizzling from her bedroom... but she's been sleep for 90 minutes!

nutella, C never dropped her morning nap. She dropped her afternoon one (just wouldn't go to sleep, rattled around in her cot for a while), so then we moved the morning one from 9am to midday. She used to do a reliable 3 hours, but that reduced to about 2 now (or nothing, as she has been doing when she's at nursery!).

Oh, I'm all excited for the new babies you guys are expecting!

Laughing at loud at Spotty making her DP some mouldy sandwiches!!! Brilliant!!

DS dropped his morning nap pretty soon after starting nursery. It was easy as there was so much going on he wanted to stay awake. He now does 2- 2.5 hrs after lunch at 12/12:30.

Ds is still variable - today he napped 9.30-10.30 but normally it's 11-12.30 or around then. We've never had any organised routine though, I just seize the moment when he sleeps to work.

today have been on site since 8am and then working 2-5pm, so have barely seen him. Am having a self indulgent cuddle with him on the sofa as he's just had a bottle of milk and conked out after a full day doing fun things with dm. I have been feeling horrific from morning sickness and tiredness and then had a little weep about missing O and feeling work guilt this afternoon. A bit limp of me, really, I have a friend who works 8-6 and is often away on work with a dd the same age, so I really can't complain.

stacks only 10 weeks?? Wow! I remember we started trying at the same time but af didn't return till I stopped bf in the end. V jealous of your gap, and nutella. O and this one will have barely a month between birthdays. Winter's going to be seriously expensive in our household.
